It could become even more difficult to purchase international items on Live if they switch over from their point system to real-world currency.

Bloodforge's camera is perfectly fine except for the occasions when Crom enters a culvert. These little crannies hold either items or enemies, and they force a fixed camera angle. If you run into an enemy inside, that can be annoying and I recommend exiting it to get the proper camera angle back.

The second boss really tested my patience as the game doesn't fill up your life between checkpoints, etc. Fail at him and you come back with the same amount of life you had before. It's challenging but I did beat him after 5 or 6 tries.

My other complaint (besides some repetition) is it's easy to get lost sometimes because the environments tend to look the same. A compass or map would've been nice.

Still think it's pretty fun and worth the money, but the difficulty and repetition will turn off some players.

They've talked about it launching simultaneously, although Telltale has pulled the rug out from under people at the last minute before and Major Nelson keeps neglecting the game when he talks about this week's releases. OXM reviewed it, but their screenshots could be the PC version with the gamepad. The interface for Jurassic Park was identical on both platforms when using the 360 controller.

Also, they say 100 GS for the first episode, which would make the series 500 total, unless subsequent episodes have fewer, or is that the new max amount with DLC after the 200 to 400 boost?
 
Nba jam on fire 800 still too much. I am mad they release this so close to the retail reg version and this one was way better. SMH No more money from me.

"I made a game with Zombies in it" is worth the $1 for the music alone. The gameplay is straight Smash TV.
 
Picked up NBA Jam OFE. I'm kinda disappointed in the roster update, especially for my favorite team, the Trail Blazers. I wish they kept the retired players instead of completely removing them. Now my team has no Brandon Roy and instead replaced with JJ Hickson, Raymond Felton and Memo Okur. Seriously....OKUR! He has never suited up as a Blazer. Also EA put in Jeremy Lin, but why can't they put in guys like Kyrie Erving or Nicolas Batum?

It has a lot more than one floor texture, but yeah, it's much simpler in level design. The WP7 version adds an Endless Zombies mode that actually has distinct rooms, but only it's like 12 or so rooms that repeat.

Just realized that I can buy GoD with MSP instead of cash. I guess time to delete all payment options! Also is NBA JAM OFE online? I'm not seeing anything about it. And if it is, is it as big as NBA 2K? Thanks for replies!

Yes NBA Jam is online, but I don't know what all the modes are because I haven't tried it yet. Obvious one is two on two, other than that I don't know.

Spylon has an excellent database of XBLA sales here. According to it Bastion was on sale late last year and the first week of this year for 600 msp.

That game was like $12 or so from a couple of sites a few weeks back. I Dare to ask why you want it with the dreary ass reviews and all, but it should be permanent drop because no one's buying that stone.

Haha, thanks for the info. I enjoy playing crappy games if they come cheap, lol. It's interesting to see HOW bad they can be.

If the $19.99 is permanent, I'll just wait for a sale or until I see it in the $10 bargain bin (takes a bit longer to get there in Canada.)

Yes, "The First Templar" is near $20 ... and you might prefer to use a GameStop "buy 2 get 1 free" used game deal instead (if there's a copy nearby), since it doesn't require an online game code. That's how I picked up the game 3 weeks ago. :)

But if your account is region-locked, and 5x5's are region-locked, and the storefront you access is region-locked ... so WTF are you talking about with "international points"? If the code doesn't have a specific region, then congrats, but your account is still locked to purchase only content unlocked for your region.

And no, it's not a confusing system if you can count by 80's ... it seems to suit EA and other companies implementing FunBucks payment systems just fine. I, for one, appreciate not having a credit-card on my account in case of theft or auto-renew, and easily juice it up with retail point-cards.
 
I told my self I was not going to buy anything since i'm studying for finals but i gave in.... Downloaded the Demo of NBA jam and instantly I was hooked. The game is crazy fun and totally worth $10 in my opinion. It did take a while to connect to ea servers which I thought my console froze up but it eventually connected. On a side note I having fun with the game but I look at the dlc. Why would you have dlc that would take the challenge out of the game. Time is money Dlc for $5 gives you money to spend in the shop and unlocks all the legends/mascots. Whats the point of that? takes all the fun out of the game. I would rather keep playing to eventually unlocked them.

The point of the dlc is to save time. I was playing with friends but it was taking forever to unlock the crazy teams we wanted to play as. Spending $5 saved us a ton of time and let us use the characters right away. As someone who doesn't care about playing the single player part of it, buying the dlc seemed like the best way to get the cool stuff for multiplayer.
 
So is it looking like Xbox isn't getting Walking Dead this week? That's a bummer, I was looking forward to playing it.
 
Dangit no walking dead this week wth happened? Some new black deep or some 1.9gb episode 1 thing in its place.... I was actually counting the days for this game which i never do these days. I am super bummed got me why they did not follow through. Dangit ahhhhhhh

There is small hope on another site they are saying 12pm est it will hit. I will not count my chickens before they hatch kind of guy but there is still hope..

I like a lot of things about Telltale but also dislike just as many, like their lack of transparency. It often takes them a long time to tell people what's going on when there's a problem. Microsoft isn't often better. Who knows when we'll find out what's going on with it.

Yeah i want to play the back to the future ones even more but not on the xbox 360. I hope this hits us on xbox live at noon.

I hope they release BTF on xbox live someday...
 
Damn...I was also very excited to play Walking Dead today. I could get it on PSN, and for less with the season pass, but I have over 3800 Microsoft Points and like $2 in PSN money...would seem stupid to buy a PSN card. I will just wait, dammit.

I know a lot of people wanted it for the 360 but said forget this and bought it on the PS3 and seem to be loving it from what i read. My one friend bought it on the PS3 as well and said it rocks. If i had a PS3 i would just buy it there at this point.

Nice to see MS lose money from people buying it through PS3. You snooze you lose MS. To bad for me i have no other option but to wait.

Checked my other accounts and nothing as well. So i guess i will wait until 12pm est like i hear it is coming out and then buy if i can if not move on to another game maybe trials evo i will buy with my point card.

Why do you assume it's Microsoft's fault? Telltale has so far been unable to get the PC/Mac version available for download on their own website despite the near rioting taking place in their forums.
 
Anyone thinking of getting NBA Jame: OFE should pass on it... Honestly, its got a horrendous bug (which seems to be tied to the contacting the EA server) that corrupts all of your data. Its seems to be very random... but after it hits the game just locks up your 360 solid and you have to hard reboot it.

I've been hit buy it twice, the first time I'll admit I might have done something stupid but I don't think I did... The second time, I know I've done nothing wrong/stupid/questionable. Hell, I didn't even turn the darn thing off without going through the menu. EA has been very quite on the issues if they've even acknowledged it and the NBA Jam forum has allot of people complaining about it.

So, yeah, I would avoid it...

Edit: I bought it the last time it was on sell... So it wasn't twice this week. Instead there was allot of gameplay in between.

MS Does deserve to lose money through but that is an entire new story. I love trolls now go away.

IMO i think imposters will sooner or later but minecraft is so well known/liked it might take a lot longer and i mean a lot longer to go on sale if it ever does. It also depends how bad the port is as well. Some games are first day buys and i think minecraft will be day one for most. I hope that helps.

Wow, was this guy serious? That was extremely strange.

That sure seemed like he was putting the fault with Microsoft. I wasn't even accusing, just trying to clear up that it wasn't just the XBLA release that was delayed. Oh well, he won't see this.

So try the trial first and jump in with both feet if you like what they did.

Not sure on Imposters to be honest... It might, it might not. They just released their second free update today. (Awesome game to be honest.)

I would agree but sooner or later 95% or more of the mp arcade games lose the online community. How many games we loved in arcade form and the community died within a few months max? What was that game called with the arena with different classes and you fight in a arena? I ut forgot the name but that was super popular for months and then now nobody plays it. That game went on sale a few times to if memory serves me right. I always passed on it. I would bet money gotham will go on sale within the next 4 months. Minecraft is a single player game and no mp community is needed and the fanbase is so high that will be less likely to go on sale compared to others.

But xbox live is very odd so anything can happen. I doubt i will buy gotham even on sale just played it enough in the beta to last me a long time. Plus the huge backlog of 100+ games...

Definitely not likely, but I can see Gotham City Imposters going on sale to bump up the player count when people get tired of it since it online only. So the earliest it would go on sale would be this upcoming holiday. Minecraft, hovever, probably wont go on sale at all, if ever; maybe a year after launch at the earliest

I think GCI definitley will at some point, but the community will probably be pretty dead by the time it does. To get the most out of online MP shooters it's probably best to buy them when they first release.

Minecraft will probably go on sale as well. I don't see any negative correlation between the quality of a game and the likelihood that it will go on sale. In fact, I'd say there may be a positive correlation there (i.e. quality XBLA games usually get put on sale)

Ok let me clarify it looked like he was trolling. I do not think i actually called him a troll but so many on here how do i know he is not one of them? In my eyes and others he was attacking me saying i said something i did not. I got a back bone and i responded back how he responded to me. Maybe i went a little higher but that is what happens when someone accuses someone of something. He should of said sorry i did not mean it and i would of done the same. He did not and does not see what he did was wrong in any way and i guess you do not either. Lesson learned maybe for both parties got me but this discussion is just a waste of time for others. If he wants to discuss it in private and not clutter this thread with this junk then he can. Anyone else jumping in to make the flame bigger is just asking for this to go on and on. I am done talking about this in the thread it is not the place for an ongoing i was right you are not fight.

It just gets weirder and weirder. I actually did PM the guy to discuss it in private after it happened. Although since he's blocking me I guess he can't see that. I wasn't sure if the PM would say it was from an ignored user or just not get delivered. I guess it's the latter. I'm still confused as to how I attacked him.

Anyway, I don't know where that 12 PM release rumor started, but I've seen it elsewhere. If anything it seems likely that it'd be Pacific time since both Microsoft and Telltale are on the west coast. It would be great if they could release the game today. Since there's been no word I'm guessing they still think there's a chance that it's coming.
 
I've been waiting anxiously for The Walking Dead, hopefully it'll be out sometime later today. At the $5/episode price-point, I can't resist.
