I'd personally go for the disc version being that you can lend it to a friend, trade it in, sell on Craig's List, etc.

Newegg $19.99 free shipping

Best Buy $19.99 $2.99 shipping

Amazon $18.75 FSSS $4.98 shipping

Fry's $19.99 $2.99 shipping

Ebay $19.99 free shipping
Can anyone chime in on Hot Pursuit for $20? Yay or nay?
It's not bad game but don't support the absurd pricing of Microsoft's games on demand. $20 for something you have no rights to, can't loan out, or do as you will with it. In the distant future when the servers go down you won't even have access to it anymore.

+1 to all this.
You do need the disc for the DLC. There's a separate Undead Nightmare disc release that doesn't require the original game.
Isn't this wrong? There were two undead nightmare DLCs. One for 800 that required the disc and the one for 1600(the one that is currently on sale for 800) that I'm pretty sure said right in the description it was playable by itself?

No, it's right.

There is the Undead Nightmare Collection (regular 1600, now 800) that includes all the DLC for RDR, however it is NOT playable without the RDR Disc.

Then there is just the Undead Nightmare Pack (800msp) which is just the Undead Nightmare single player DLC. It also requires the disc.

Then there's the disc..

But, you won't lose access to the game just because you can't play online...as far as I know at least. I have have an old exbox with a few GoDs that I don't use to play online but can still play my games.

Thanks for taking the time to clear that up. I've read so many different things about this damn DLC and disc it's ridiculous.
Yes, it's the same one that comes with Sonic Adventure, Space Channel 5 Part 2, & Crazy Taxi.

Speaking of which, wasn't Sonic Adventure 2 avatar stuff suppose to be out today?
Thx Zonic505.

RedJoey, it's been confirmed that Sega Fishing can be found on the Dreamcast Collection disc. Not sure if you want to mention that in the OP.

In 10 years when the servers are down and your hard drive doesn't work anymore (lets face it, mechanical drives don't last forever), your game will be lost. I can still pull out some old Atari 2600 games anytime I want without worrying about online servers. Its not that you'll want to play any of these games in 10 years, but there is something to be said for actually owning something physical.

Anyway, what's up with the disappointing xbox deals of the week during E3?
Yeah, what was MS thinking publishing a game that core games are having fun with on Kinect?
IGN: Wreckateer Does Kinect Right
Are you saying IGN are "core gamers"? HAHAHAHAHA. IGN are whatever kind of gamer they're paid to be.

Wreckateer still looks like a crappy version of Boom Blox, which wasn't a very good game itself. IGN can't change that.

i got virtua fighter for free for being ps plus , guys should check your ps3 and see if you can grab a ps plus code. ( i know this is xbox forum thanks)

yeah plus thats the retail, this acrade version is said two come with a classic and a brand new fighter, plus other things. Im 85% sold on the game already, but ima demo it out first, before i lay down the space bucks.
I though Wreckateer looked fun. I'll certainly give the demo a try.
The demo did look fun. Almost Rampage-Like.

If the RDR vanilla edition were just a little bit cheaper (still $15 on Amazon) I'd bite on the DLC, but just gonna wait for the GOTY to come back in stock at $20.
open up your ps3 and its hidden behind the blu ray drive so you have to remove it
I tried this and it was just a copy of Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust. :(

Isn't "disappointing" E3's theme this year? Seems to be a perfect fit!

I'm surprised it wasn't Duke Nukem Forever or Brink
wtf is up with VF 5 final showdown's dlc? Everything is 1.93 GB WTF??
More than likely everything (game + costume DLC) is 1.93gigs, and costumes are just unlocked if you actually buy em.

Yeah, but everything is 1.93 GB. If they were just keys, they would be 100K. If I queue up everything, it would be like 8 GBs. That can't be right.

exactly and those things are unlockables in one of the modes if my VF memory serves me right. Im not buying any of that shit, but the core game itself.

ok im sold virutal fighter for me. I dont even care to wait for a sale. Game is great, plus if you just try the demo you get a free gamer picture. Only thing I wish was that the roster was a bit bigger, with only 19 fighters thats nothing compared to other fighters.

I actually like when rosters in fighting games are on the smaller side. When they're bigger, you see the same characters over and over in the competitive scene, but when it's smaller, you can see who the really good players are.

Do you think Street Fighter II could've kicked off the genre if it sported 56 characters like Marvel vs. Capcom 2?

The core game is already 1.9 GB, which is the max size MS allows on XBLA. Sega literally could not have added the costumes and such unless they went with a full disc release, and given VF's rather tepid fanbase overseas (read: chairs), a $15 downloadable title is far more palatable than a $60 retail disc. Frankly, I rather like this model of selling DLC as an excuse to lower the price of the base game, especially compared to Capcom's model of doing the same thing, except with a $60 base game instead of $15.

And I have to say that I quite enjoy smaller rosters. It makes me feel less overwhelmed when choosing a character, and makes me feel like branching out a bit more. It helps that I love Garou, too.

I wasn't even aware 19 fighters was considered small. It's really not a problem in something like VF anyway since all those characters have a shit ton of viable options between them.

For it's time SF II had a HUGE roster of characters, much more than the 2 in the original SF1 (and both characters were 100% identical). Outside of Ken/Ryu those characters were 100% unique with vastly different playstyles, and add another 4 if you want to count the boss characters (who were clearly unfinished if you ever played as them in World Warrior).

MvC2 was the accumulation of years worth of 5 years worth games from at least 3 different series and even then you had clone characters like Megaman/Roll, the Wolverines, the 2 Iron Men.

I didn't know about the size limit hampering the extras, but I was always ok with the dlc since the game is only $15.

19 fighters isnt considered small, but im getting accustomed to large rosters thanks to fighting games nowadays. Virutal Fighter will always be the second best fighting franchise imo, right behind MvC. This edition reminds me of the fun I had with VF4 in the arcade and on the ps2.

I like VF5 and MvC but for me Tekken is "the best" fighting game in my eyes.

to me its in this order.

1. MvC
2. Virtual Fighter
3. Naurto Storm (Series is really good, even if it's based on a kid's show)
4. Tekken
5. Soul Caliber

I didn't grow up on Street Fighter so I don't care for that franchise. I kinda wished I did, but its no big deal.

Good list, I will have to try out the Naurto Storm series sometime I have not played any of them yet, I'll have to try to find a copy on the cheap somewhere. I have been waiting for SC5 to drop even more in price so I can pick that up.

Also, I can't wait for the next Walking Dead installment, that game is a pretty different type of game which I enjoy about it, anybody have any idea when episode 2 comes out?

I'm not really a fighting game fan anymore, though the two I've enjoyed a lot in recent memory are Mortal Kombat (the Vita version) and Naruto GNT series. MK has the single-player content I've seen and Naruto GNT is the best party fighter I've played.

I've lost most of my interest in Soul Calibur since 3 and I'm hoping VF5 has the awesome single-player mode from 4, but I don't recall hearing much about that. Capcom is awful at tutorials, so I avoid their games completely.

This is the latest I've seen on Walked Dead Episode 2:

Thank you man. I forgot all about Mortal Kombat. God I feel like in idiot. That would be in 4th place and the rest go down 1 spot.
