Next week is pretty lame. Borderlands and RDR DLC. Sega Bass Fishing (400points) and Boulder Dash XL (400points)
Boulder Dash XL is worth at 400MSP. ;)

Sweet almost forgot Arkham City and Mass Effect 3 MP dlc came out today. Look like there is an ad on the dashboard for the rebellion dlc but its not up for download yet.
Does look like the next two weeks are going to blow for sales.

I played the original game like what....25 years ago? I may have to check it out out of nostalgia. :)

Sonic Adventure 2 -June 5th

WHAT. WHAT. Sonic Adventure 2 avatar stuff?! But...that could only mean......Did Major Nelson just confirm Sonic Adventure 2 for XBLA (& PSN) before Sega did (most likely at E3)?!

sorry but where are you seeing that news?

That reminds me. I need to open my shrink-wrapped Dreamcast copy of Sonic Adv 2 that I bought when the game came out. :wall:

Man these deals suck. Only game I was intrested in was feeding frenzy 2, but after watching a review, it seemed more of the same like the first one, so ill pass. Guess its batman dlc for me, and perhaps VF 5 next week depending on the reviews.

I'd recommend against getting Zuma on sale. It's a fun but annoyingly hard game with nigh-impossible Achievements. More importantly, Zuma's Revenge comes to XBLA in the next month or two and is a much, much better game than the original. Way more content and easier difficulty overall (though several Achievements still look rough). Of course, it'll probably launch at 1200 Points and take a while to go on sale...
Yawn, seen all these "deals" before and at the same prices to boot. If they're gonna keep dropping the same stuff all the time they might as well drop it permanently.
Still, it's nice to see Microsoft doing their bit for recycling.

Anyway check out Heavy Weapon that game is amazing.
I'm of the same opinion. I think Astro Pop and Heavy Weapon are the only 2 I don't have, when I saw them listed on sale I was hoping for 75% off, just because they're so old and have been on sale for this price many times before.

Anyways, lame 2 weeks. But oh well, the last thing I need is to add more games to my backlog.

Isn't the ME3 DLC just a mandatory update? All of the new goodies have to bought using the built in random trading card system.
Boulder Dash XL is worth at 400MSP. ;)
So true. This game was an absolute blast with so much content built in. If I didn't already own it I definitely would buy it for 400msp.

Don't forget: many of these Popcap games are available on disc in one form or another.

Popcap arcade vol 1&2 aren't cheap anymore, they've gone into the rare OOP category. The easiest to get a hold of at the moment is Plants Vs. Zombies which also includes Peggle and Zuma. PvZ disc + buying the Peggle Nights expansion = best deal. With this sale, though, 1,000 for Peggle+PvZ is probably better than having to run it from a disc the entire time.

Feeding Frenzy 2 adds 2-4 player multiplayer. That's the real reason to buy it. One caveat: Lives are shared between both players in co-op. Slightly annoying but still tolerable when my son uses up all of our lives every level so I have to beat it without ever dying.

FYI. IGN gave the Arkham City DLC a 9 but said it adds about 2 hours of gameplay. So you need to decide if $10 is worth 2 more hours of Batman. I sold my copy in anticipation of getting the GOTY since I did not have any of the DLC yet. 2 hours is pretty thin but I am sure I will try it on several difficulties. Link to article but warning there are spoilers to the end of the main game if you have not played.
As soon as this thunderstorm passes I'll update the OP. (Like 2pm EST)
Man I would kill for a thunderstorm rite now. This heat is unbearable.

69 degrees and gorgeous!

Also, that Batman DLC doesn't interact with your save file at all. You just launch it from the menu. (This is good news to me, because I bought, beat, and sold on 360 then rebought on PS3 but haven't played it yet.)

Yeah, it's been raining for us for like the last 24 hours. Thankfully the worst that has happened is we lost signal for TV, no power outage.

This is probably heading our way soon (GA).
If my brother buys the batman dlc, can i recover my gt and play said dlc on his xbox?
Yep, you can. ;)

I just finished Batman dlc and thought it's nothing special and the ending was terrible. :/

Also it's as short as Cotwoman pack.

A superhero that has the power of a cot is even lamer than Aquaman.
But it would still make for a better movie than Catwoman.

Peggle is amazing, buy it people if you don't already have it or Peggle Nights.

Why PopCap hasn't done a sequel to this thing is beyond me. I have this game on so many systems and phones it's not even funny.

Thanks for posting. Pretty much echoes the IGN review, except you turned their 6 paragraphs into 2 sentences. Nice.

And with that, I think I'm gonna wait on the Arkham City DLC. I think it will get a sale fairly quickly, DLC always does.

I'll be that guy (and I'm not trolling at all). But what is so special about Peggle? I honestly do not get it at all. Barely made it through the game, and have no desire to ever check it out again. So I really don't understand what others see in it?
Ok thanks for the answer and as for my location, nj. 90 degrees. If i was in tx or az, i would kill myself over the heat. I can only imagine the heat over there.
It's not that bad right now but it will get worse. :hot:

Also, it appears Raskulls and Joe Danger were the PlayXBLA codes for the week, so lots of those floating around the trading thread. I absolutely loved Raskulls, so I'd recommend that to anyone!!!
Have all the games for popcap already... get astropop if you havent already!! PvZ also for those who been living under a rock.
agreed. PvZ is truly awesome and worth the money. It's also a different feeling experience than the PC version as you don't have to frantically click on sun. and don't forget the co-op and versus modes (though i wish they included online play!).

I agree. It's really overrated.

Completed the Batman DLC already...100%...what a letdown. Did nothing new from the main game(s) and it was WAY to short and easy.

Edit: No hard mode? No Robin in the city. No twists or surprises in the story :(

I also just beat the dlc and I have to say it was great. More batman AC is by far no where near a bad thing. The only letdown was the ending. I hoped for more, and possibly a spoiler for the next game, but alas there wasn't. Overall the dlc imo is a 8.8 out of 10

Most versions of Peggle offer Peggle Nights as DLC. But originally, it was a stand-alone sequel to Peggle. It's more Peggle.

I briefly skimmed the last dozen or so posts, but didn't see it mentioned, will the Peggle Nights DLC work with Peggle from the retail PvZ disc? My apologies if it was already asked.

Yes it will as that is how I played it.

Holy mother fucking shit! I had no idea those disks were starting to be considered rare! I may have to sell them, especially if the price goes up more! Are any of the other compilation disks rare? I have almost all of them!
Peggle is amazing. I refuse to accept dissent.
Agreed. Wonderful casual game that feels like a cross between pinball, pachinko, and pool. Tons of levels which provide a great variety of challenges, plus more stuff to do after you beat the game. The variety of characters and their powers is great too. Oh, and like all PopCap games, the sound effects are perfect and really add a lot to the game. I like Plants vs. Zombies better, but still recommend Peggle in a heartbeat.

As for the Peggle Night DLC, it doubles the length of the game and add (I think) 2 new characters. Certainly a worthwhile purchase if you like the main game.

That's because that guy was misinformed they are definitely not rare at all. Maybe new copies could be considered slightly rare but not used, can easily be picked up at most GS's for sub $15.
Peggle is great, but I got Peggled out before finishing Peggle Nights. It is fun for a good while, but you can definitely burn out on it.
This. Peggle on DS was like crack to me and once I beat it I immediately moved on to Nights. Gave up on that after one or two sessions though and have had no desire to play a Peggle game since.

Also you can grab both the base game and Nights for a couple dollars on iOS (and I'm sure Android as well). The pick up and play nature is much better suited to a mobile device than a console in my opinion.

Man, definitely waiting for a sale on these SEGA ROM packs.

I thought Streets of Rage and Golden Axe would be bundled together, but instead they are two separate 800 point packs.

Pass for now.

I hope sometime in th future the Ace Combat DLC goes on sale. I absolutely hate Bandai Namco's DLC pricing. I loved AC6 but didn't feel like I could get any of the DLC for it besides the free skins. Just got Assault Horizon and am really enjoying it but upon checking the marketplace, they got worse with their DLC pricing! No free stuff and prices went up!
There is a jet for 640 points or some nonsense. I know most people probably wouldn't pay that much for a single car in a racing game, but they somehow think people will pay it for a jet (and maybe people out there are paying it, I don't know). The total cost of all the DLC for the game is rediculous and even just the new jets are pretty pricey when added up.

I was browsing the Assault Horizon site and saw news of a DLC sale. Upon clicking I found out it already happened back in Mar and was Euro-only. Awesome...
