Thanks for the words! This really should be in OP fellas, like i said before. I dont wanna fudge up the coding of the wiki.

I did that much! lol
I ventured ahead and got it up there for you. It's sloppy and could use a little help, but it's up there.

Thanks mate!

I feel like part of the fam now, and when i complain about the deals again you guys can point to this one and tell me you KNOW I cashed in on this one!

So Borderlands 2 is getting the Season Pass treatment. $30 for 4 expansions of $10 each. They will be all released by June. I am torn here. The season pass has been kind of a failure imo. It just seems the content for past games has not lived up to expectations plus they seem to add dlc ontop of the pass which is stupid. Gearbox has shown though they are good at dlc with the last Borderlands so saving 25% up front is nice. Of course there is the GOTY and sales I am sure patient people will get a better deal but this is my most anticipated game of 2012 so I am adopting early :)
I'd rather just buy everything individually, especially if it's gonna take nearly a year to get everything.
This... I think the best analogy I can give off the top of my head is Skyrim right now...

After seeing the Hearthfire Trailer im so damn happy that I didnt have/was forced into a season pass. Dawnguard was tits and all, but Hearthfire just seems unimportant for anyone outside of a major Role Player...

you larpers know who you are:booty:

Yeah, Dawnguard was fantastic. I'm still critical of the $20 tag but it packed lots of great content and Hearthfire just feels like a cheap attempt to cash in on Skyrim fanboys in comparison.

I'm picking Hearthfire up on Tuesday.
Is the "Now Wikied" part of the thread title necessary anymore? It says that next to the title in the forum listing anyway and anybody that would be up for keeping the OP updated knows by now, so it would be better spent on more room for more relevant info in the rest of the title.
You're probably right. Maybe shoot ReddJoey a PM and mention it to him.

More power to you if it is your most anticipated game. I'm definitely waiting for them to go on sale and buy them individually. Borderland DLC goes on sale EARLY and OFTEN. Claptrap's New Revolution took less than 3 months to go on sale half off.

Yeah count me in on board of waiting for a borderlands 2 goty. Im buying the game day 1, but with re 6 coming out a few weeks later and all the playabiltity ima get outta that game that should hold me till black ops 2.

Just saw a commercial apparently xbox users get some dlc first? I usually don't keep up with the DLC news so this was news to me.

The new Pinball FX Popcap table is gonna be based on Plants vs Zombies, in case anyone cares. I dont think it's supposed to be announced until tomorrow, but Best Buy's @Gamer magazine already reviewed it.

This. When the Borderlands 2 Goty hits $20 for the first time I'll pick it up. The first one was a fantastic bargain for that price and I feel it's only a matter of time until the second one gets there. It's not like I don't have a backlog to work through anyway.

And this season pass doesn't even include the pre-order dlc and such. It's just four pieces of dlc they'll put out later. Totally worth waiting till a GOTY edition rolls out with ALL the dlc imo

This is a quote from first page
Games on Demand:
– Bully Scholarship Ed. - 1200 ($15.00) Microsoft Points - 25% off - xbldb
– Midnight Club: LA - 1200 ($15.00) Microsoft Points - 25% off - xbldb - Note: this isn't the Compete Edition; you'll need the Ultimate Content Pack to make it "complete".

I'm not sure if this is different from one country's marketplace to another's but the g.o.d. copy of Midnight Club I have IS indeed the complete edition!
If this is the case for other marketplaces as well DO NOT pull the trigger on any DLCs since they are already inside the game!

I have no problems with people waiting but that does mean at least a year or longer. I am not willing to wait that long to play the game, even with a backlog. I will most likely wait to see what the DLC looks like before buying. The Season Pass is not a limited time thing so you can always wait till June of next year or trade in the game after playing the main part and then buy GOTY next year. If there is one developer I feel like the DLC will be a value it is Gearbox. The Mad Moxxi DLC was the only real crapper. I do not think there will one like that again anyway. The pre-order DLC for Gamestop is the Creature Slaughter Dome. The biggest difference is that you get XP and Loot you can keep when playing the wave based stuff which was a huge mistake from the 1st one.

The game is like 40-50 hours so I do not think this is cut content either. At some point you have a complete game and then you add on. I think the guide is like 400+ pages which is beefy for a FPS/RPG.

My bad ... I'll make the change right now ... thanks!

Actually, I'd expect one of the planned DLC items to be the combat arena, a.k.a. GameStop's exclusive pre-order bonus. Since characters can level-up in the arena, as well as gain some premium weapons there, that would be the place I'd get my 360/PS3 copy (if you haven't already committed to Amazon).

For PC, of course, you can't beat GreenManGaming's price through this weekend, or possibly finding someone selling their free code on eBay from buying an NVIDIA 6xx board.

i am in australia and the september rewards is up. it is:
Spend 10 or more hours enjoying any single sports or entertainment app on your Xbox 360, and you'll score 100 Microsoft Points.
they dont have a list they say you can message them on the forum, you can only get this once and you have to get 10 hours in a single app, it does not cover combined times from more than 1 app.

10 hours in a single app might be an Australian thing because its not like that in the US according to the FAQ.

I used more than one sports app and my time adds up to 10 hours. Does that count? A. Yes, as long as you used eligible sports apps between September 1 and September 30 and they total up to at least 10 hours.

Just wanted to let everyone know, it seems that anyone in the Dashboard Beta has access to the Happy Wars Beta as well. I haven't tried it out yet but I did download it. It is on the beta tab of the dashboard under "more."

I got special access to an E74 error thanks to the beta.

From the Happy Wars Beta? I was downloading that, but now I am worried.
From the Happy Wars Beta? I was downloading that, but now I am worried.
I played Happy Wars Beta, no errors. The game is half way fun at least through the tutorial of it. Tried to play online but as it was matchmaking, it lost the connection to the server so I gave up.

Games, betas, demos, updates ect. Don't cause rrod & e74 errors. It's just a coincidence that frisky caught the e74 from hw. It was just his systems time to go. I wouldn't worry about it.

I was surprised to have discovered this before hearing about it online. For a fleeting moment, I felt like an Xbox pioneer. Played through the tutorial earlier... seems like it'd be a fun game.

No, the dashboard beta itself. My second time booting up the system resulted in the E74 error showing up, which is the first time I've had an issue with the system.

The e74 error is one of those that just happen without warning (from my experience at least). I've had 4 consoles e74 on me and only one RRoD. Before the RRoD, I was getting more and more frequent freezes. Each time I e74'd, it just happened out of the blue.
I'm going to put the blame on the beta because it's the only way Microsoft will fix it for free.
I doubt it considering you agree to not hold them responsible for any damage caused by the beta. That being said the e74 error is covered by a 3 year warranty I believe.

Back on topic, what the hell happened to the GoD deals? Almost 2 weeks with nothing.

They specifically have a Console Failure feedback form for dashboard betas for this very reason since it's kind of an important thing to know if their betas are causing issues like that.

Good luck with all that, microsoft doesnt fix shit for free. hopefully youre covered under some warranty though.

you'd be surprised what the conspiracists think. my friends think the latest beta intentionally broken their headset mics as 3 of them had mics break within a week of each other. another friend thought the previous beta wrecked his DVD drive (the Reach beta?). they have some wild thoughts like somehow the dashboard is sending too much electricity through their mic.

he mic thing is ridiculous, but I had one beta wreck my DVD drive (at least I think it was the beta). It just completely stopped working. Everything else was fine, but I could play games, movies, music, anything. They fixed it though so whatever.
is xbox getting a Labor Day sale
Doesn't look like it. I think the only time they had a specific Labor Day sale was in 2007.

Well when the "New Xbox Experience" first rolled out it ruined the way my old 360 handled the cache. Most games you could only play after installing. If you played them from the disk you got all sorts of missing graphics and lock ups. Even games I had completed before the change wouldn't work.

But I imagine that was because of the change in having games be installable at all more than a simple dash update.

What do you mean exactly? Last week Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 was 9.99, this week is fight night champion for 19.99. Not to mention in the Rock Star sale, Bully: Scholarship Edition and Midnight Club Los Angeles Complete are 14.99 this week. Forgot what it was 2 weeks ago, but there have been several items, it not at least 1 a week for quite a while.

Lastly, the week previous had a large large amount of GoDs (mostly EA titles if I remember) that were all discounted in someway.
I had purchased a brand new 360 (Final Fantasy 13 bundle) and enrolled in one of the previous betas. It was the one before the special disc of Halo: Reach was sent out, the Kinect dashboard one.

It made me update every single time I turned it on and blew during one of the updates with an E79 RROD. It had less than 50 hours of playtime in a well-ventilated and cool room. I respect the opinions of others, but don't try to dispel what you cannot debunk. I blogged about the incident if anyone cares to scrutinize the details. They did nothing for me and only because it was new and in warranty did they fix it. They sent back an arcade in place of an elite unit, with glitched firmware that thought even legit discs were pirated which it refused to play.

Also, games can break consoles as well.

Edit: I will not play into a straw man or solipsist argument, dirtyvu. I know I witnessed the Kinect beta forums flooded with dozens of statements of the specific issues I referred to. They even went so far as to give reparations to a select few, with new consoles and gold subscriptions. I don't trust the source, but even Kotaku picked it up. Sure, it's just my cute anecdote.

I don't think anyone is saying your experience is not your experience.

But cannot debunk? don't generalize anecdotal personal experience to true correlations, causations, and trends. the sample size is too small to make any type of generalizations. Your problems can be mere coincidence.

also, searching out people who had the same experience doesn't make it any more true. I see Toyota Priuses everywhere in SoCal so to me, they're selling like hotcakes. But then again, I like the Prius so when I see one, I notice it which affects my perception.

there used to be daily god sales at least every other week. Bully and midnight club were both part of the rockstar dotw.
http://xbldb.com/offer-history/pric...tus=all&min_price=too_much&max_price=too_much

As you can see on xbldb two weeks ago the daily god sales were going on.
