frogger: hyper edition freezes too often, and the load times are annoyingly long. i'd HIGHLY suggest you get the original frogger on xbla instead and skip hyper edition, as a game it's fun but like i said its issues are obnoxious and disappointing. and it's never going to get patched because like 50 people bought it.

is retro city rampage coming out this week?

edit: also def buy bully over any of the LEGO games, by far

I have Bully on disc for 360 and could never finish it because it would constantly freeze on me. Does the GoD version also have freezing problems?
I have Bully on disc for 360 and could never finish it because it would constantly freeze on me. Does the GoD version also have freezing problems?
Did you try installing to HD? That's how I played Bully and I don't remember freezing problems.
Also thinking about Lego POTC and Lego Star Wars III, but I usually like playing Lego games on PS3, plus I already have both Lego Harry Potters and Lego Batman 2 in my backlog, so do I really need 5 Lego games in my backlog?
I thought POTC was the weakest one yet, but even a weak Lego game is still pretty fun. And why worry about five Lego games in the backlog? You can knock those out over the holidays with a little dedication :)

The way they are doing Kinect Party is so confusing. So I also need to download "Kinect Party", the small download? That is something more than what is included in "Full Game - Kinect Party"? I think my head is going to explode. In any case I queued that up too.
But "Joe Danger 2" is a STEAL at 400 MSP! I'll make some changes right now while I'm in the OP, but Serious Sam is seriously done now.
How's the 2nd one in comparison to the 1st one? I liked the demo for the original, but always held off, waiting for it to hit 400. Now that "the movie" has hit 400, I might just skip the original and buy this. I had read in some reviews that the "movie" aspect of it isn't as good.

So any thoughts or opinions comparing the two would help, thanks
There's another free Kinect Party DLC called 'The Star Gazer' up now:

That channel is already unlocked in the game (I played it last night). So I am not sure if this is a variation on what's already there or they're releasing all these channels individually if people want to buy them as singles (when the game stops being free). Based on the pricing structure posted earlier I tend to think it's the latter.
To sum up, it's probably pointless to download this.

Also, definitely in for Bully Scholarship Edition. It'll be my first on demand game ever. Considering the price of the disc and my BF points essentially making this a 400pt purchase, I'm fine with making a permanent decision to own a full retail game digitally.

Free is free. I'm not taking any chances.

Did notice Bully was on sale. Hopped on that. Contemplating RB3 but in the past Rock Band games tend to be games I take with me to friends' houses and such so I may hold out on a physical release.
Just debating Firepro.

Anyone here own it already? Whatcha think?
Nothing like the old ones, IMO its a pretty bad game. then again i have wwe 13 which i'd say is easily the best wrestling game i've ever played (the features are insane) so i guess i'm biased. (note i loved the old firepro's, this one's just not like them, and to add on to that 13 basically has all the customization and moves i loved FPR for in the first place so i think the series is basically dead to me now, the old ones were the best in their day but 13 does so much right i can't say i miss the old days of lining up sprites perfectly to strike)
Free is free. I'm not taking any chances.
I guess. I feel comfortable saying that it's redundant. I have a feeling that you'll be downloading 31 more "free DLC" pieces so you don't take any chances. ;)
BTW, did everyone see that @GearboxSoftware posted SHiFT codes worth 5 GOLDEN KEYS for Borderlands 2 on Monday night?
Thanks man! I totally would have missed this.
I've grabbed Kinect Party, the Kefling DLC, and RAW. Just debating Firepro.

Anyone here own it already? Whatcha think?
I only played a few matches, but FirePro was ok. I'd say check out the demo and don't expect anything great. It's a fairly simplistic Avatar wrestling game, 400 is probably the more appropriate price for it. I wouldn't say that I recommend it, but I wouldn't say to avoid it either. I'm kinda on the fence on this one.

From what I played of the 2nd one (not a ton), I think I liked the first one better. There's just a little bit too much going on in Joe Danger: The Movie. Still, I'd say both of them are worth 400 MSP, and if you've never played either but are interested in the series, I'd say go ahead and pick up this one.
Just debating Firepro.

Do you enjoy constantly hitting "B" to grapple? Because that's pretty much all you'll be doing in the game. Download the demo if you have any doubts. Also, the game is glitched and one of the achievements is not obtainable. No patch has been released to address that yet. Pisses me off!

So far I have picked up:
World of Keflings DLC
Kinect Party and DLC
Jet Set Radio

Probably going to get:
Fire Pro Wrestling

Depending on demos:
Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition
RAW

Which of the Serious Sam games is the best?

I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick up the MW3 map packs, is the MP still active after Black Ops 2?

Damn GoD! I forgot to switch Bully from real money to MSP before I purchased. I have so many damn MSP!
I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick up the MW3 map packs, is the MP still active after Black Ops 2?
Yeah, man. You'll be fine. Hell, I think the CoD4 MP is still plenty active. People never stop playing CoD.

Yeah the more I think about it I can pony up the $5 (target points) for this game and be fine with not being able to trade it.

I see most of the prices today are good till the 31st....so no decision needs to be made today i guess :)

Picked up Lego Pirates for my son and I to play together. I'm eying Joe Danger 2, but I think I'll hold off until the end of the sale in case any surprises come up. I'm still debating whether or not to get any of the Skyrim DLC.

Yeah 4 of the top 10 games played on the 360 are still COD so you will be good to go. Glad to see Far Cry 3 was on the list but I wish it was higher...although that may be only Europe so we will see the next list if it moves up.

Going to picked up Realms of Ancient War, Rock Band 3. "Sugar, Spice, and Not So Nice" DLC which I didn't even know came out until now. Maybe Jet Set Radio and Bully but think I'd rather have it on steam. Might decide to get at last minute.

Didn't realize the disc version was so scarce. I traded for it earlier this year and I think it only cost me 800 bing MSPs or so. I guess I got a good deal. :)

Go, froggy, go!

Guess I'm passing on The Simpsons Arcade again. If I wasn't a buyer at 400 I'm sure as heck not at 600. Just goes to show that I can be wrong on occasion. I had anticipated when they first announced its release that I could scoop it up for 200msp during a holiday sale. Sadly that's not happening. At least not yet. Guess I'll wait and see how much it drops to next time it goes on sale.

I need more points. More cheap points. Can't find any deals, though.

I'm probably going to bite on RB3 and try to pick up a keyboard cheap at some later date. I have RB1 instruments. They still work with RB3, right?

Is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga worth the $20 sale price? I don't care for a disc copy, as I'd be more likely to play something immediately accessible on the hard drive. However, I've never even played any of the Lego games and my primary interest is finding something my wife would play with me. I guess the questions I'm asking are: 1) How is it compared to the numerous other Lego games?; 2) Is it a good value relative to the other (cheaper) Lego games currently on sale?; 3) Has it ever been on sale for a significantly better price?; and 4) Is it a good game for non-game players?

Also, would someone explain the appeal of Bully to me? I hear it is good. I like some sandbox games. It is tempting to buy at the sale price. I just don't quite grok the game's concept, or where the fun is derived from. Maybe it's because I didn't go to highschool...
So of the Serious Sam games, which is the best?
On XBLA, Serious Sam 3 is easily the best. It's got better graphics, a more interesting story, and split-screen (which the others lack). I highly recommend it to fans of old-school FPS games.
So of the Serious Sam games, which is the best?
IMO TFE and TSE are miles ahead of SS3 (in terms of being a fun game, obviously not graphics and stuff like that). All 3 are good games but the old ones are so much better. SS3 just doesn't have the same classic shooter feel that the other two have.
is bully worth 800 msp? I know its a great game and all, but does it look outdated?
its an early release so it doesnt look that great but wasnt really an issue to me

Buy especially if you got cheap BF points

Awesome game. My 2nd favorite Rockstar game (1st being Vice City). It does look dated, but easily worth $10.

You guys aren't helping. Not getting all 3, too many other sales coming up to do that. Might just have to flip a few coins.

1) All Lego games are very similar.
2) It's basically the same value as a lot of other games on sale. There are 6 "worlds" which make up the 6 Star Wars movies. Compare that to Indiana Jones which is half the price, where there are 3 "worlds" for the 3 original movies.
3) Disc version is better price, but since you don't seem interested in that then this is probably the best price it has been on GoD.
4) It's good for non-gamers. It has a few platforming and extremely basic combat elements, but there's no way to really die (you just infinitely respawn) so non-gamers will probably enjoy running, jumping, and mashing buttons without frustration.

Bully is like GTA in high school. There are just missions to play, but they focus around school related themes. It's really cool and clever and easily worth 800 MSP.
You guys aren't helping. Not getting all 3, too many other sales coming up to do that. Might just have to flip a few coins.
I'll help. Don't buy any of them. I played TFE and found it's really not for me. All it is is shooting hoards and hoards of enemies, constantly running and circle strafing, and once in a while finding a secret or 2, like in doom. I found it super boring and repetitive and I don't think I even made it half way through the game.

If you haven't played Bully yet, BUY IT. I own a disc copy, I had no idea it was worth anything, but I'd never dream of getting rid of it anyway. It was my favorite sandbox game up until Saints Row 3, and it may still be my favorite. It has all sorts of charm that just can't be matched. Getting 1000/1000 on that game was an absolute blast.

Haha sorry different people are gonna have different opinions. Try out the demos see which you like more.
Haha sorry different people are gonna have different opinions. Try out the demos see which you like more.
And this makes the most sense. For some reason had a brain fart and didn't even think of trying the demos. Must still be thinking of PSN's lack of demos on most games unlike XBLA.
So of the Serious Sam games, which is the best?
I haven't even played SS3: BFE yet but I loved TFE and TSE (on PC at least - bought 'em on XBLA but I've never touched them!). Give 'em a shot, see if you like them. If you enjoy mindless first-person killing sprees, I'd say just buy them all. Not the answer you're looking for, but that's just too bad!

Guitar Hero sales are over. Too bad about that, I would've liked the Motorhead pack for GH3 - though I would've liked it a lot more for a full-band GH game. It still blows my mind that even on sale, the GH3 packs cost more than the packs for follow-up games.

Seeing RAW and Joe Danger 2 at 67% off is both a blessing and a curse! I was gonna skip both and wait for the next 50% markdown, but now I'm not sure. I do only have about 3200 points to spend though, strongly enforced by a Dubious Achievement Unlocked when I caught a felony charge the other night like a total dumbass (behave, boys and girls!) - so I'll probably stick with my plan to bag all the platformers.

It's fun if you're heavily into the Star Wars world, but they have made significant improvements to the LEGO franchise over time. As crazy as it sounds, major graphics improvements, MUCH better co-op, and a better, albeit still wonky, camera.

$10 for the other LEGO games is madness. If I didn't have a 6 year old who devours those games, I wish I would've waited to get digital, and for $10ea. I probably paid on average about $15 for the discs.
