XBL Marketplace DotW: PoP Epilogue

Hmm..just picked this up from the gamefly sale too. Wonder if this is worth it (HAHAHAHAHA...i laugh cause, I feel most of the extra DLC isn't worth it)

read that the DLC is short - a couple of hours. adds about 250 more achievement points and i think new skins can be unlocked.

Can't say if it'll be worth it or not until you've played through the original game. PoP seemed to have been a "love it or hate it" type game. I liked the game, and don't regret the $10 I spent to get it. The Epilogue DLC will add achievement points and about 2 hours of gameplay to the game (original is only about 10 hours total). It was made to address a lot of the criticism the original game faced, mainly that it was too easy. Similar to the original PoP, it has little to no replay value though, so it may not be worth it to some, even if you liked the original.

It also changes the tone of the ending from the original game. So if you skip the Epilogue, you may be a little confused come PoP2.

Got PoP from GF, too. With my discounts, I would actually end up spending more on this DLC than I did on the actual game. Still have to get around to popping the disc in my machine, though.

Not worth it IMO unless you love POP. I bought full price and didn't much care for it. I was hoping for more story and character elements but was letdown.

Ah damn, was hoping this was at least 50% off...this is what 30% off, regular $10? Oh well, looked like easy achievements too. I liked the game but dunno about $7 for a very very short epilogue.

I bought the DLC since I loved the full game. Though I still think the original ending of the game was fantastic and ballsy, I really enjoyed this. If you liked the gameplay and the characters, you will probably like this too.

Personally, i love it! I got it for PS3 game sharing ($2) so i can't complaint. The Epilogue picks up exactly where the PoP ends. The Prince got a new dash move, there's a new monster which is very lame... A lot harder than the PoP game for one thing and unlike the PoP game, there's no going back. So, if you're unlocking achievements/trophies, you need to save the game constantly, otherwise restart... You probably need to play it two times to unlock all achievements/trophies (i played three times). I do like the Epilogue's ending more.

Do you have to insert the game disc in order to play the DLC? I loved the game, but I finished and sold it months ago. Interested in the DLC if it can be played independently. I still have my game save files installed.

The epilogue is basically everything you hated about the last 45 minutes of the game, but 2 hours long. There is one really cool puzzle room, but the rest is pretty much all wall run, jump, wall run, jump while avoiding the black goo.

Was this on the Limited Edition? For some reason I feel like I've played this already but I only have the Limited Edition.

I don't this is on the LE. I think one advantage the LE had was the additional costumes (which I would like to have but unfortunately I only have the normal edition - yeh i kinda liked to collect costume :p )

Could it be that Ubi might be releasing a Platinum edition for PoP? It happened to me for Force Unleashed - bought the DLC (on sale) and a day later the Platinum or newer edition was announced which contained not only the DLC but additional / newer content.

i LOVED prince of persia but thought the DLC was complete garbage...very frustrating and not like the real game at all. stay away imo.
Haha thanks for the plug. The Epilogue is only worth it for those who have the PoP name and characters tatted all over their body. For the rest it's just going to be extremely boring.
Read your review, convinced me into not buying it. Will check ending on the tubes though
