It seems so stupid to me that people complain about this being $10 while the emulated Pac-man games are only $5. The pricing structure on XBLA is that classic games are $5 and brand new games are $10. This Pac-Man game is a completely new game and completely worthy of the $10 price. In my opinion this is the only $10 game on XBLA that is worth $10. What $10 game on XBLA is a better value than Pac-Man CE?
It's so funny to me how stupid the internet group think is. Street Fighter II was a classic game that broke away from the XBLA pricing rules by being $10, yet very few people complained about that game's price. Now a revolutionary Pac-Man game comes along that is built from the ground up for Xbox 360 and is incredibly addictive with tremendous longevity and replay value, it's got more modes and variety than the classic Pac-Man games and yet people complain about the price.
And before someone brings them up, Geometry Wars and UNO were $5 because they were first party games. New 3rd party games on XBLA are always $10 or more.
I was reading this, thinking you guys were so full of crap. It's still freaking Pac Man... DL'd the demo, played once... Bought game, played a couple of hours straight... Got on to play Halo 3 beta last night, got laughed at by friends sending me invites while I play pac man... Tried to explain myself, and I just really can't.
This is the perfect example of why the free demos for every arcade title are invaluable. I'd have never paid 800 points blind for this, but it's worth every freaking one of them. Fun stuff.
You know I was a huge Halo 1 multiplayer fan, but ever since they removed the health packs I don't think Halo multiplayer has been as fun or strategic as it once was. Halo 3 Beta is just more of the same and really did nothing for me. Pac-Man C.E. on the otherhand is the only game to really get me excited this year.
