The countdown and one day sales always start early. They are global sales and must have a GMT start time. They usually last 36 hours.
A few days ago LA Noire vanilla was $10 after coupon at best buy if you get the magazine. Think it still is, but if you're interested in it you should look for the enuf's coupon thread or the specific LAN thread to see if it still is. $16 total is a great deal.
If your gonna play LA Noire, get the DLC it adds 4 cases and puts them right in the story, in other words it's better to have the dlc before you start the game, as these 4 cases fit right into the story. They also add 400 achievement points.

Im told ya so. So dont freak out and try to get microsoft points for any price. You got plenty of price to jump on these deals. Its not like xbox arcade games go out of stock, unless they do?:D

I paid 1200 for NBA jam and it's worth every penny. I doubt we will see a drop on that anytime soon at all if ever. It's a $60 retail game packed into a download.
Don't listen to others. Buy what you like.
I agree.

I personally didn't like ITSP but if you liked the demo you should definitely pick it up. The demo itself is a fairly good representation of the game.

Alright alright! Decided to just skip it. I'm not excited about it so ill let it go and conserve points for more sales this week.

bought renegade ops and bloodrayne, gotta stay focused and save my points for any games I haven't played. Tempted with the rock star pass but ive had lan since release day and ahvent played it

Thanks for pointing out the early stuff. Got Bastion and am going to try the demo for Bloodrayne as I liked her old games.

Hope Major Nelson puts up the whole schedule tomorrow.

I bought Bastion even though I've never played the demo but it looks great.

I have no idea what Renegade Ops or ITSP is. I'm going to watch some YouTube vids.
Son of a bitch, I need more MSP, but no CAG seems to be selling them at a decent price.
Well, this is Cheap Ass Gamer. Good luck trying to find someone who wants to sell msp at a discount.....

That said, I'm off to download the demo of Bastion. All you CAGs have got me intrigued to the point that I'm considering gettin the game at 600 instead of being a true cheap ass and waiting till it drops to 400

I highly recommend Bastion!

Get Renegade Ops if you have someone to play it online with. It is a great co-op game and a so-so single player game. It is getting 3 DLC levels this week as well (main game has 9). It is also a tough 200 if you care about cheevos.

Already got Bastion from when it was originally released (with a free code for The Maw). Seriously recommend it, if not just for that narrator's voice.

Man, sure hope the rest of the deals this month are as good.

I found Bastion's gameplay to be a little bland (hack n' slashy) but everything else about that game is awesome.

I'd actually recommend ITSP over it, slightly.
anyone spent time with bloodrayne at length and care to comment on its quality?

and could someone comment on bastions story length?
5-6 hours. There are some weapon trials and things that add a little bit more time to it, but there was never really a reason to do them.

Bastion is a good ~4-5 hours if just going for the story. I completed it 100% in about 7.

Bastion at half price seems like a no brainer, but I just can't figure out when I'm going to play that with Saints Row 3, Skyrim and MW3 breathing down my neck!

Also, what games are on sale right now? Seem like a bunch of stuff popped up and the OP hasn't caught up just yet.

Ah, there you are!

Please don't take that request as a knock against you, I was just hoping to get an answer before bed.

Think I'm going to hold off on ITSP until it hits 400, since I have games to play for the time being.

Pretty sure I'm in on Bastion at 600.

Diggin' the Bloodrayne demo, but on the fence at 600.

Found Rock of Ages demo to be fun and unique, I'll be picking that up.

The Bastion deal sounds awesome, but I'm going to play the odds and see if it goes on sale on Steam for $5 again as a daily deal. It has done so in the past.

Good thing I don't actually gamble in real life.

I'm about to cave on Bloodrayne, I think. Rock of Ages is a definite yes tomorrow as well.
Ok OP is looking okay for the moment. Big thanks to everyone for your patience while I was out and Spylon for his site.
Maybe mention that Renegade Ops is 600? I know it was announced at 800, but it's going for 600 right now.

I'm curious as to why Steam gamers even bother downloading games on XBLA? I just can't get into PC gaming, but those who can, any game that's on both Steam and XBLA is guaranteed to have a better price on Steam at some point in time...

Done

Others have mentioned it, but any discount given to NBA Jam means I will buy it. I'd rather play it on demand then switch discs.

It's too soon, but I think I'd play Joe Danger at 600-800 points. I can't think of too many other games I want right now, I'm really after the quick play games since long story based games aren't something I want to play right now.
Awesome. You do a great job maintaining this thread.
agreed you and spylon both
also picked up bastion will wait on a couple other 600 point games dropping to 400

all these deal are going to stay live till wednesday till 12:30 am at the very lastest. Theres no need to kill yourself for MSP. Tried the demo for Bastion and wasnt feeling it. More like a 400 Price tag to me. It seems I dont like the more popular xbla titles (Bastion,Limbo, Trials, etc...)

But you take it on a case by case basis.

just bought bastion, insanely twisted shadow planet, plants vs zombies, and bloodrayne

hoping for a sale on trenched, guardian heroes, rez hd, orcs must die, resident evil 4, stubs the zombie, toy soldiers cold war, deathspank, dishwasher

Got LA Noire Rockstar pass, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and Bastion. Trying Bloodrayne and Renegade Ops demo before I make the jump. All this AND still got to get Rock of Ages and this is only the first goddamn day. Ridiculous!

I have the "complete" version of LA Noire on my pile from the Best Buy black friday sale... nothing in the rockstar pass that isn't in that, right?

Bought Bastion, like a lot of others have been waiting on a sale for this game, played the demo and left me wanting more.
Getting the trial of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and will demo it tomorrow, though youtube videos dont interest me too much in it

Somewhat fortuitously, I just listened to the CAGcast today where Cheapy D mentioned how much he loved Bastion and it made me want to check it out. Now that it's on sale I will definitely pursue it.

I'm on the fence with Bloodrayne given that I hear its difficulty gets a little ridiculous. Not that I'm opposed to difficult games but with so many XBLA games in my backlog right now, I feel like a game that may potentially frustrate me will get overlooked.
