Somewhat fortuitously, I just listened to the CAGcast today where Cheapy D mentioned how much he loved Bastion and it made me want to check it out. Now that it's on sale I will definitely pursue it.

I'm on the fence with Bloodrayne given that I hear its difficulty gets a little ridiculous. Not that I'm opposed to difficult games but with so many XBLA games in my backlog right now, I feel like a game that may potentially frustrate me will get overlooked.
You mean Wombat, not Cheapy.

Picked up Renegade Ops by mistake (not a big deal as I tend to like those types of games anyways) and after trying the demos, Bastion. Not feeling ISTP, currently on the fence for Bloodrayne. I want to like it, but I'm getting my ass kicked. Maybe if I sleep if off and try again in the morning we'll see how I feel on it.

I actually played most of Bastion back when you could do that thing with the profiles, but i stopped before i got busted. Had to buy it cause it is an awesome game. Will finish it now. Thanks for the post.

I was the same way. I still play the first game form time to time, so when I heard about this new release I was stoked.
Unfortunately, after playing the demo I lost all interest. I couldn't even tell you if I played all the way through the demo either. Way too tough in the intro stages- I don't care to know how much worse it gets. All the best if you can get into though!

As for Bastion, what is the timeframe on this 'one-day' deal? I just found out 2:45am EST, so not sure what time it will end. I've downloaded the demo, but haven't played it yet- have to get on that soon.

Played the demo for Bastion and I enjoyed it and for 600 that's not bad. I'm hoping there's some other good arcade titles going on sale as well :)

Picked up Bastion and Renegade Ops for 600 MSP each, both seem like real winners at that price.

My MSP are almost depleted so had to find a 4200 MSP card to top up the account, hoping that will be enough to see me through this sale :)

wait until you see levels 8-13. They will make you pull your hair off. A lot of cheap deaths. Not to mention the recycled same boss fights all the time ugh... Cannot believe they have 1200MSP price tag for this average game.

Already have Renegade Ops/Bastion (both pretty good games), so i picked up ITSP. It wasn't worth full price, since the shooting things is not good at all, plus the exploration is very limited. Have great art design tho. All in all, for 600MSP is decent enough.

I really hope Iron Brigade get a price drop as well. It was released months ago in US after all, right?

I've been waiting for Bastion to drop in price, and just picked it up. Now I need to start playing asap since I'm getting Skyrim for Xmas and can't imagine touching anything else until February.
Are Plants vs. zombies and Peggle worth it even though I already own the iPad versions? Also, I'm hopping for a sale on SF3 and all of the SNK fighting games.
Depends how much you love those games. I can't speak for PvZ since I don't own it but I have Peggle for both XBLA and my iPod touch. I prefer the console version of it because I feel like I can get better accuracy using the joystick to move the cursor rather than trying to use my finger on the screen. I imagine using a touch screen for PvZ is much better than trying to use a controller, though.

But considering you probably paid way less for the iPad versions than these XBLA versions, I'd say don't spend the extra money.

I have both Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies on iOS, PSN, Xbox 360 retail disc, and Steam, but am still considering buying them on XBL. Popcap Anonymous, where are you?

Bought ITSP. I've been waiting for that one to drop.

I'm hoping for discounts on Trenched and ilomilo. Also, I would like to see War of the Worlds drop, but it released pretty recently, so I'm not holding my breath.

Nothing interesting to me.
Out of all the SoA titles, only Fruit Ninja and Bastion were appealing to me, and I have those both.

Hi, I just thought I'd let everyone know that Crimson Alliance is FREE on XBOX LIVE Marketplace. It's probably a holiday thing. I'm sure the promo won't last too long.

Apparently, the first 261 Briareos names were already taken.

i just tried the demo's again of guwange, radiant & bangai-O and picked up guwange & bangai, i just got too annoyed with radiant. I probably have about half an hour to change my mind though.

Also in for bastion & rock of ages today, will probably wait on ITSP
As were gordojones1 through 87?
I'm betting that's his birth year which is probably why he didn't realize he was the pot calling the kettle black, but still funny!! :)

Damn, not a single title that I dont already have. Was really looking forward to this sale too. Oh well, there is still hope with the daily deals.

Picked up Bastion - waiting on Rock of Ages.

I have barely played the 360 all year but I just got a new one for downstairs (couuldn't pass up that Best Buy $199.99 holiday bundle deal) mostly for Kinect usage but I can play a few arcade games on it so I might as well pick up these sale games. I had like 3000 points sitting on my account anyway ;).

Picked up ISTP and will pick up Rock of Ages when the price is changed.

Downloading the demos for Renegade Ops and Bloodrayne but probably won't get them since I can vaguely remember not being to impressed by them when they were released.

Edit: Just tried Bloodrayne, whilst I like the art style, the game is quite difficult and the gameplay is not my cup of tea. Just got to try Renegade Ops now. :)

Renegade Ops is really good. Levels are varied and has decent amount of different enemies. Not to mention the game have online 4 players co-op, which is really fun. :bouncy:
Others have mentioned it, but any discount given to NBA Jam means I will buy it. I'd rather play it on demand then switch discs.

It's too soon, but I think I'd play Joe Danger at 600-800 points. I can't think of too many other games I want right now, I'm really after the quick play games since long story based games aren't something I want to play right now.
Wouldn't be too sure about not having a sale on NBA JAM. This goes to the end of the year right? The season is back Dec. 25th, I could see them doing some commemorative thing for that.

Woohoooo!!!! finally grabbed Bastion!!! Will most likely grab Renegade Ops and the LA Noire pass, but I'll wait and see what the daily deals will be, just in case.

Got bastion, bastion dlc, and rock of ages. Tempted by shadow planet but it looks like a pixeljunk shooter clone and I've aleady got both of those games. I also looked at renegade ops but that one looks like a twin stick shooter and I'm not a fan of that genre.

Ugh. Newegg still hasn't gotten my points to me from that sale the other day and I really want to pick up bastion. This is really freaking annoying.
Oh god. Did you sign up just to tell us that? In other news, trailers for games are free!
And Game Room! (since Pnball FX 2 was already mentioned)

There also a lot of non-premium themes with gamerpictres for free too! You can adorn your dashboard with all sorts of product ads! Trailers, ads, and trial/demos are free! Why the xbox just pays for itself! ... okay, I laid it on thick ...

On the deal front, love them. Got Bastion, ISTP, and Bloodrayne ... Pondering Renegade Ops.

Day 1 purchases - Bastion (YES!!!) and LA Noire Rockstar Pass

For those that played Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet... outside the art, do you feel the full game was worth the playthrough?

The map kinda ruins the game cause if your cheevo huntin you'll be looking at it 90% of the time. the game really shines if you ignore the cheatguide map and just go explore the twisted planet. The boss fights and art really are well worth it for 600. At 1200, the exploration is just not deep enough, especially if you use the map. I paid $15, it only stung a lil bit after it was over cause it's still a really cool experience at the end of the day. (oh, and there is multiplayer. I didn't play it)

I'd definitely recommend ITSP at 600 points. It's a fun 4 hour MetroidVania-lite experience. Exactly like "Tha Doc", I got it at full price and it stung a little bit.

At 50% off, I don't see it stinging anyone. I enjoyed it as much as Bastion.

Got Bastion, ITSP and Bloodrayne.

Considering Rock of Ages and Renegade Ops but I would like to see what else is on sale this week don't want to use all my points up too fast and not have enough for something I really wanted.

Plus I think those are on sale for the whole week.
