I am in for Comix Zone, Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star 2, Virtual On, Your Shape DLC. I am on the fence about PvZ, I have played quite a bit on my iPad and figure I would rather finish it there. Might pick up a few more cheap Sega games, but I think that's it.

Not much left I even want for XBLA anymore...
With all the sales in the past month I picked up almost all the XBLA games on my wishlist. Hopefully the rest will show up in the near (or not-so-near) future:

Shank
Deathspank 1&2
Stacking
Castlevania SOTN & Castlevnia HD
Hate to break it to you, but both Deathspanks were 50% off about three months ago.

And Shank was on sale for 800 in Nov.
FYI: Shinobi is also included in Sonic' Ultimate Collection. There's two versions on the disk, one is available right away, the other is an unlockable, at least on the PS3 version. Fairly easy unlockable too, I think you just play the Genesis version once to unlock the arcade version. Should be added to the compilation disk FAQ
Shinobi III (Genesis is playable off the bat, it's the original arcade Shinobi that you have to unlock.

Just by looking through the sales, I wonder if we are going to have a Namco sale next week, since we have Sega this week, and had Capcom last week

I'd say the same for Galaga Legions, but I might as well for the DX version.

I would like for SC1 to go on sale. 400 MSP would be perfect for it

I wouldn't mind seeing a Konami sale.
I bought Sonic and Knuckles because it's only 120 points. Totally forgot that it was on my Ultimate Genesis Collection, lol. Oh well.
Ya, but on the collection you can't do the cartridge lock thing (play as knuckles in sonic 2, 3, etc)

i wouldn't mind a Namco, or SNK sale

Picked up Virtual On since it's FINALLY less than $10.

Too bad I have everything else on there worth owning lol, considering getting the Chaos Emerald prop though... damn my Sonic whoreism...

A Konami sale would be excellent and even more so if the new Rush N Attack would be included. But as long as all the classic arcade games + Contra Hard Corps are there im good. :D

If there's a Konami sale, I seriously hope the Castlevania: HoD DLC is on sale. Only have bought 2 stages (actually spend more on DLC than the game itself since I won it) since I've been waiting patiently for there to be either a sale or a bundle.
Hmm, I already own Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis, and was wondering if there's any difference between the Genesis and XBLA versions?...
Copied and pasted from Wikipedia. This (plus achievements):

A version for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network was released on June 10, and June 11 in 2009, respectively, with online co-op, leaderboards, and 'improved graphics' via smoothing. However both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions have reported that the online co-op feature is a step backwards from the original, due to the inability to rejoin your partner upon death. Instead players must wait for their partner to also die in order for the level to start over, whereas in the original you could rejoin immediately in return for half of your partner's HP.

LMAO! Well, on the bright side, you've got a chance at a few extra gamerscore.

Picked up ilomilo this morning. I went to buy The Writer DLC and it turns out I bought it when it was on sale a while back. I'm going to use the last of my GS credit to buy a 4000 point card. I still want to buy Peggle Nights, Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe and Gunstar Heroes.

I'd like to buy Phantasy Star II but I know I'll never get around to playing it. I beat it on the Genesis and I already have enough RPGs in my backlog.

So I am sure this has been asked; but is there any issues with Peggle Nights via the disc based Peggle (either Pop Cap or PvZ discs). I am sure there would be no issue, but I'd like to know before spending the points.

Also, might be worth noting whatever it is in the OP?

EDIT: Also, I'm up for any input on After Burner and Outrun. For Outrun, I am still wondering if between now and December whether or not the game might go free; I know this very VERY unlikely, but I'd like reassurance one way or the other. I am just meh on After Burner because it looks neat, but I know absolutely nothing about it...

I just spent another $22.50 on XBLA

Bought:

Peggle Nights

Altered Beast
Ecco the Dolphin
Gunstar Heroes
Outrun
Shinobi
Streets of Rage

Sonic Plush
Chaos Emeralds

Thanks again CAG for helping me spend money that I can't afford to spend :p

Haha that's great. DLC that's neat but effectively more of the same? Old mundane Sega games that are available elsewhere cheaper? Random avatar stuff for half off? Well gosh darn it, guess I'll go without groceries this week.

The Peggle Nights DLC is awesome, and everything else you said was off too.

Quick question about peggle nights. Is it able to be played as a stand alone, or do I have to own peggle on the xbox first? I ask because I have the original peggle through steam, and I don't want to have to buy it again to be able to play nights.

Thanks.
Jesus, ilomilo is delightfully cute.
You aint kidding. I had to stop after playing the tutorial because I needed to take a break from all the cuteness. If you have Raskulls or Keflings you can dress up Ilo and Milo in ultra cute outfits from those two games as well. Cuteness factor increases by 10.

You have to have the original peggle or it won't run.
Haha dang I just bought Crazy Taxi at full price a bit ago. Ah it was worth the extra 400 pts for a slightly early trip down memory lane
Your avatar makes me wish they have Shining Force II on XBLA. I looooooooove that game.

... did you seriously just ask if they'd put a game up for free?

I think it's a safe bet that it might show up on sale again in the future, but definitely not free.

Peggle Nights works just fine with the PvZ disc, just got it last night and it's great. I also got Outrun, great as well especially if you have a racing wheel. I wouldn't press my luck for it going free, well worth the 400 pts.

They've offered a few non-promotional XBLA games for free in the past for the U.S. region, such as Undertow and Texas Hold'em, but those free games are few and far between. I really doubt Outrun will ever be offered for free, especially since Sega has to pay licensing fees for this particular game.

It's on the Ultimate Genesis Collection, along with Shining Force and Shining in the Darkness

So, any opinions on Fancy Pants Adventure? I'll probably try the demo out (I tried one of the online versions), though I most likely will wait until it's on sale for $5 (seeing as I've probably already spend a good amount this month, including what I'll be getting next week).

This is true but imagine the games with improved, HD graphics and achievements. O_O It honestly should be remade in HD. They were great games.

Yes, that would be awesome indeed. I believe I only played the second one on the UGC though, never got around to playing the first one

The first one was remade with enhanced graphics for the GBA. My copy is still in shrinkwrap. But yeah it would be completely awesome if they remade the 2nd one or released all of the 3rd game in English.
Shining Force II is my favorite game of all time.

Interesting!! I already have the games on various *cough*emulators*cough*. But it would be nice to play them (if I ever do) on a big screen TV. Kinda wish they had some achievements tied to the Shining games.
