I'm downloading the Stacking demo. Watched the QL on GiantBomb, but never downloaded the demo. Any opinions on this game?
I need that Dante's Inferno DLC, but even 200 pts for a 15 min mission seems steep.
I feel the same way. But I don't see it getting any cheaper than 200msp so I bit.

I'm going to give the TNT Racers demo a try. At first glance, it looks like it should have been a 400msp game to begin with (meaning I would only pay 200msp for it). If the demo blows my skirt up, I may consider it at 400msp.

Hey guys, I'm viewing this thread on mobile, and for some reason the list of games in the OP is overlapped and I can't read shyt.

How many points is torchlight again? Thanks

Read reviews and play the demo. If you don't like the art style or quirkiness of it, there is really not much gameplay to it at all. It's pretty popular around these parts but it's mostly due to the aesthetic I think. It's basically a twist on point and click adventure games but one that is frequently called very easy.

Although I have to say, most adventure style games of this era are all easy. The old days of literally staring blankly at your screen and inventory with no idea what to do next seem long gone.

Bear in mind Torchlight has a lot added to the XBLA version. It's superior to the PC version save allowing you to use mods.

Totally worth 10 bucks if you like hack n slash games at all.

Did you know that Terry Prachett has Alzheimers and that he plans on taking his own life in Switzerland.

TNT Racers is on the US Dashboard but Stacking isn't... odd. Probably going to finally give Stacking a try this week. For anyone interested I have thorough reviews of both Torchlight and TNT Racers on my site (the latter was one of the hardest review codes to track down believe it or not).

Pretty good week of sales if you don't have some of these games...

Grabbed TNT Racers for 400, Stacking for 600, and Torchlight for (gulp) 800. Had a ton of points sitting around and didn't have these three.

Stacking was my least favorite of the Double Fine downloadable games, but it's still a solid experience for 600 points. I had fun playing through it, but keep in mind it's a short and easy game with no replay value once you figure out the puzzles.

Let me know how TNT Racers is. I was going to blind purchase it because I enjoy racing games but the demo was not impressive. The game looks good but a cart racer with 3 powerups? There's got to be more than what I saw.

Oh and forgive if I came off harsh on Lara Croft. I by no means hate the game, just couldn't get into it. I'll give it another go perhaps tomorrow.

Do not worry, I felt the same way about that game.

Hopefully some others here can chime in on TNT Racers as with my new job I'm not near a XBL connected Xbox until the weekends (though this week, it ends up being Wednesday). My general feeling is I have to hate it a great deal for $5 to be a rip off, especially when I didn't pay $5 for the points.

This is my general feeling. I'll buy most anything I'm even remotely interested in for 400 or less. I've actually had the demo of this one lying on my hard drive for quite some time waiting for a sale. Naturally I didn't actually play it until this morning. I've got a bunch of arcade games waiting for a sale before I even play the demos. I figure it's a good idea to keep anything I'm interested in ready to go in the event it goes on sale.

I just jumped on Stacking and Torchlight, now I need to find another 800 point game for the July rewards deal.

I also grabbed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light this morning, how hard is it going to be to get a decent coop partner? none of my friends are really into playing arcade games.

Love this thread, but I have a quick administrative question about the layout on the first page. Is anyone else having a tough time reading the list of games when using an iPhone browser? I'm able to see lists in other threads with no problems, but the display of these comes out mangled. I've tried a few different browsers but the display is the same. ReddJoey, I definitely don't want to add any more work to what you're already doing to maintain this thread, but do you know if there's any change that could be made to the formatting to make this more readable on the iPhone? Or if anyone has a suggestion of how I could fix this on my end that'd be even better.
Thanks!

I have the same problem with android.

Sorry I didn't notice b/c I load use the non-mobile page on my smartphone. I'll work to optimize it (aat least until CAG 3.0 launches)
Ok, looks like the bulleted lists were causing the problem in formating.
Yup, that was problem - the lists that you changed are rendering perfectly for me now. Thanks for looking into it!

I think Torchlight is great and all, but every time I start up a new character I get hooked for a few days and ultimately burn out before I'm able to finish the game. The lack of a compelling story/co-op seems to turn the game into nothing more than a mindless grindy click-fest after a while. Also, it's hard to justify double dipping for 800 points when the game was just $3 on steam the other day.
anyone still playing Medal of Honor? thinking if I should get Hot Zone
Still quite a few ppl playing.

Great TNT Racers review for anyone (like myself) on the fence about it. Thanks. Any game that mentions Mario Kart 64 sounds like a blind 400 point buy to me. You mentioned that the multiplayer would be great if there were still players around. I imagine there will be decent volume for a couple of weeks due to the sale. Should we get a CAG group going?
will Bad Company 2 veitnam go on sale anytime soon?
I'm almost certain it was the DotW at 50% off in April. BC2 DLC was also an option in the recent DotW vote, not sure on the results.

Just a heads up - judging by earlier posts in this topic regarding the July rewards, Torchlight doesn't qualify because it's on sale. The two 800+ point games must be bought at normal price to qualify for the 200 point rebate.
Still quite a few ppl playing.
I jumped on XBL this weekend to see if people are still playing MoH and yes there are quite a few. So I decided to purchase the Hot Zone today, and went to play it. Unfortunately, I was the only one in the Hot Zone area :twoguns:I waited a couple of minutes to see if players would show up but no.

Maybe because it is still early (this was around 3-4PM), i'll have to see if that changes later in the day. The majority of the people are in Combat Mission (still my favorite), Team Assault, & Sector Control. The rest of the modes have few players (Hardcore, etc.).
I'm still waiting on a deal for Pinball FX2/Marvel Pinball on XBLA!!!
I gave up waiting and got it from PSN when it was on special couple of weeks ago.

Played thedemo for tnt racers and man does it fucking blow? Anybody buy it and like it. Did it get better past the demo.

It just seems like a 200 point game.
