I'll post the same thing here I did in the XBL thread... does anyone think someone screwed up and it's on there by accident, or is this a legitimate release?

It's not even featured under newly released arcade games... I kinda want to wait until Sunday to get a points card for $4.99 using the BB ad for next week, but if this is a mistake and the game isn't hitting for another month I'll run out now and get a card.
It may have been a mistake, it always boots you off of xbox live.
Oh, you can't even play it on Live? Thanks, I think I'll wait until it's "official" then.

That's what I'm worried about... By the time I get out of work, it'll be gone.

I love the description on the download page.

Test your might! Try ULTIMATE Mortal Kombat 3 and see if you have what it takes to FIGHT!

- edit Yeah, I bet this wasn't suppose to be out yet. It won't allow me to log into my XBL account when I'm in the game.

Was the game this pixelated back in the day? I can't remember.

Also, has anyone else experienced it when you stretch the screen out that the picture becomes uncentered, with the left edge not being equal to the right edge? I may post a pic here.

I wouldn't worry about it, look at the posts of people saying it dosen't connect to Live... I'm only getting it for Live play so no Live means no sale for me.

Yea the only reason I wanted it was for live, it still has the same cheap AI Ultimate has always had, hopefully it'll be official soon or live enabled. Need some good old MK action!

I'm just thinking MS would have promoted this to high hell... this is a high profile release, they would want people to know.

I think someone is definitely going to get in trouble over this one. It seems it would take away from Lumines sales pretty damn fast, as well.

Please, MS doesn't put ANYTHING on the Marketplace willy nilly, it has to go through like, 10 stages of security. Lumines Live wasn't marketed much in the last couple weeks leading up to it's release. I'm guessing the release is real, and they are just having problems connecting to XBL within the game.

I just called home and had my mom download it...

Wow.

Giving directions of how to turn the T.V. on, describing what an analog stick is... Very difficult.
boo, they took it off. also my download that was over 50% done went down to 0%.
Same here except mine was 93%

So close.............

Here's Major Nelson's report on it:

Looks like MKIII snuck out a little early...I was as surprised as some of you. Sounds like it was an incomplete version...and that the full version will be available soon, hopefully before next Wednesday’s usual release time. If you try to login to live with it...you'll get bumped off...since the live service is not allowing the game on until it's properly released.

I'd be pretty pissed if I just bought an incomplete version... MS better offer these people refunds.

You won't have to re-purchase it...but you can't sign on to live with it until we flip the switch to allow that. Your achivements won't register either. I would not play it until it's fully released.

Better than nothing, though.

I doubt this is an incomplete version.

Sounds like MN is just trying to do damage control so people don't realize they are sitting on complete games.

It certainly does not feel like it is incomplete. I have played it for like an hour and a half and it seems all there.

Main problem I am having with it is the control because the 360 d-pad does not suit this game all that well. Street Fighter controlled a lot better IMO.

It could just be that I am used to playing street fighter with the pad. I have been using it for several months with Street Fighter and this is the first time with Mortal Kombat. A lot of the problem for me stems from the button layout which for some reason I cannot figure out how to change. That and I want to put the block and run buttons on the same side of the controller instead having them both on the bumpers.

I just got home from work, and the download finished. So I do have it.

So it sounds like we could still see it officially before wednesday.

Yep have it also!!! The only option I see as to why it leaked , they wanted reviewers to try it out , the only way they could do that is to hide it on the download section!!! Granted it wasnt in the NEW download section , but in "all arcade downloads" I guess MS thought that people would only check the NEW section!!! O well , come saturday night my friends and I will be drunk and kicking each others ass on UMK3!!!
