The whole Xbl system is screwed up ever since they did maintenance on it. The worst maintenance I ever seen though.

Ok when I go to the Market place.. it has one of those Clickable banners with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I got very excited. Really excited. If I had a vagina, I would of changed my pants. But I digress. It just lets you read info about it.. :(

WHEN is this going up?! I love UMK3!!

apparently it was pulled. From joystiq:

Like Dan Forden (pictured) before it, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 showed up on Xbox Live and promptly disappeared. Since XBLA games are historically released on Wednesdays, we're betting an (now possibly unemployed) Xbox Live employee hit the wrong key.

We now know that UMK3 will be 43.62 MB in size, cost 800 MS points, and feature 2-4 player multiplayer. A few lucky gamers (not us) managed to purchase and download the full game, and show off their gamertags as proof. Something tells us, regardless of earlier plans, that next Wednesday will be rather fatalistic. Not to be confused with fatality-istic, that's just lame.
With the looming release of the PS3 and Wii, these XBL problems couldn't be coming at a worse time for them.

Egads.
These problems will not sway anyone's opinion on which system to get, nor will they make anyone who has a 360 suddenly decide, "screw this, I'm unloading this thing and getting a PS3". This is insignificant.

With regards to a paid online service versus free? I'd have to argue that's not true.

I own a 360, so I'm on the wrong end of the consumer to ask; people getting ready to make a next-gen jump, though, are going to ask themselves what is so amazing about MS' online service that they have to pay for it. In the event they see all these problems, even with no comparable reference point via-a-via Sony and Nintendo, it can't look good, or even nonproblematic.

This is not part of the paid service, it is part of the free service. Paid service, as you know, is for online play, not downloading demos.

Major issued an update

Edit: I am getting reports that some folks can't see this or the UMKIII arcade title. I have escalated to the operations center. Until then...no need to post that you don't see it. It's been a helluva week, huh?

Edit: Both MK and TH are starting to appear in Marketplace for folks...if you don't see it yet, give it time as the team is actively working on this...meaning it may appear/dissapear/re-appear. Both titles will be available as soon as they can address the issue. Again, thanks for your patience. I won't have a chance to check for an update for a few hours, but it should be fixed by then. By the way: Your abilty to see (or not see) the content has nothing to do with your geo-location.
damn even the advertisements are up within the blades...
I agree.
And on a side note TNA Bound for Glory will rule this weekend!

All it says is More Info. No downloads.

It was up for me. I was able to purchase it and add it to my list. Then I checked it and it was removed from the list.

Now, I get an error message.

The d pad seems much more responsive than in some of the other xbla games which I like. Does anyone think that the graphics look a little grainy? To me it doesn't really look like an HD game. It doesn't look bad but I guess I'm just used to all of these games looking crisp and clear. With that said it seems like a solid purchase.
no multiplayer on the same machine either

thing has too many bugs
You sure? I was playing with a buddy last night for at least an hour on the same box.

how? when i tried to log in with the second controller it asks me to pick a profile then when i do it goes back to the main menu

It works over Live now. The gameplay is great, minor lag. I'd say I got lag in maybe 5 out of 20 matches when I was playing with zewone.

I haven't had any lag while playing against anyone else.
It's almost impossible to play with the DOA arcade stick since you can't change the controller layout.
I really hope they update that with a patch.

Or even release an MK button layout stick.

This game is much fun. :D

.....K so who are the 3 Unlockables and how do you get them?!
Mileena, Shao Kahn, and Motoro? Noob Saibot? ::forgets::

Also, how do you fight Noob for that achievment?

LOL I forget so much about this game and I used to play it constantly!!!
There is a hell of alot more characters on my old SNES version.
Agrees!! That's why I'm confused!
there was only 3 more ermac, milenna, classic sub zero and you can unlock them
Remember how?
Remember how?
Put in the Ultimate Kombat Kode (after you lose in arcade mode). The code can easily be found on Gamefaqs or any other cheat site.

On a side note, my 360 is being fucking repaired right now! UGH. I've been waiting since E3 for this. :(
there was only 3 more ermac, milenna, classic sub zero and you can unlock them
I think you missed 1 or 2 ( This screen is from the SNES version )

True, but in that pic Sheeva isn't there. She's in this game.

Damn lag!
This need a patch. I can barely play it online. Offline its just like I remember.

Damn, Scorpion looks uber cool on that character select screen!

*looks at wallet, thinks about buying the game just for Scorpion*
