XBLA - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - 400pts

People who leave ranked matches early are babies.

I don't get a win if someone leaves before it brings us back into the lobby right? It's happened 3 times so far, laaaaaame.

I'm trying to go for the 10 win achievement.

Yeah that has happened to me alot. If they didn't end up quitting the match early, they would instead report me and say that I had cheated.

90% of the time I find this true with Smoke players.

Whenever I see someone choose smoke I select him as well to try and avoid having the disadvantage. I haven't had much luck playing decent people though.
 
Ya know, I love this game. I love Mortal Kombat. Always been a huge fan of the series..but it makes me think. Why didn't they release MK Trilogy? Like, they released UMK3 to be the definite version..but isn't MKT like.. a definite version of both MK3 and UMK3???

Though, let me not lie when I say I would def pay the 800 points if they ever DID bring that out.. even MK II. Though, I don't see you can release UMK3 THEN 2..but whatever.

I want Trilogy
 
They could definitely release 2 after UMK3, since 2 is by far the best MK. However, it really isn't as arcade friendly as UMK3, but I'm sure it would still be hot fire. Trilogy would be nice as well.

Oh yeah I did love 2..but you're right. UMK3 is more Arcade like--but isn't Trilogy a better version of UMK3?!

MKT came out for PS1, N64, and Saturn..am I right? I think the difference was PS1 had Chameleon, and N64 had Khameleon..? Anything special about the Saturn version?

There were some other differences between the N64 and PS1 versions. The PS1 version had klassic versions of Kano, Jax, Kung Lao, and Raiden, and had all the bosses available from the beginning (including Kintaro, Goro). The N64 version had just one Sub-Zero, no Goro or Kintaro, and you had to put in codes to unlock a lot of the guys. Saturn version is the same as PS1 IIRC.
 
They really should have released II, as UMK3 eats shit. And, somehow, I had forgotten that fact.

No, absolutely not. MKT would be the absolute most frustrating game to play online ever. Noob Saibot and a few other characters are RIDICILOUSLY broken. If you thought Smoke (who is slightly above average at best) was frustrating to fight against, imagine a character that can kill you from 1 projectile (that they can combo you into).

Also, UMK3 > MK2, just for the record.
 
UMK3 was the onset of the dev team's laziness -- Trilogy was just full-blown laziness.
 
UMK3 is on sale now for 400 points. I picked it up and played a few rounds against the CPU. Motauro pwned me back to last year.

Then I played online and got my fucking ass kicked about 4 times. Doesn't anyone suck at this game? Well, if anyone wants to play against a mediocre opponent, hit me up on XBL.

Edit: Someone should update the OP with some fancy graphics and the new price for the game. Is there someone to contact who can do that?

gonna be nice having an influx of new players online! been a while since I've really thrown down on Live. I played for the first time in a while a few weeks ago, and I accidentally erased all the unlockables (I think it had something to do with my guitar controller being plugged in and fucking with the whole profile sign-in process). I should get around to fixing that because it seems like now is a good time to play!

I'm thinking about picking this up now that it's 400 points. I'm not really sure if I am though since I'm more of a Street Fighter fan, and since the new game should be coming out on the 19th or 26th.
