• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Question for all the odd number achievement haters, why? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I am genuinely interested in why it bothers some people so much.

I just prefer even gamerscore. I'm trying to remember which game gave it to me. Yes it was this game! Did anyone manage to finish it? Incredibily hard game for me.

Creature in the Well is excellent and fun experience. Adventure style, pinball, dungeon crawler.

I'd say about 8-12 hours for full completion. I loved the gameplay, level design, music and art style.

I'm still looking forward to Battletoads on Thursday the most. Also at a glance I thought Hypnospace Outlaw was I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream and was thinking that's a weird way to announce that game coming to Game Pass

Creature in the Well was good minus two things from my immediate recollection.

I had some unfun One X issues with the sandstorm stuff that happens a couple of times. Caused several thermal shutdowns.

The other weird bit was the inconsistent difficulty. Parts of the game were a little more difficult for me, but nothing too rough. Then there was one boss fight around midway that stomped me hard, and even skipping it to go back to it later, it was crazy tough. Some other random bits seemed tougher than necessary. Hard to really nail what I'm trying to say, but certain sections just seemed like they more difficult than they should be while everything else was fine.
I had to cheese one of the rooms and still couldn't figure out why it was so freaking tough.

Some other nice adds hidden in there. Crossing Souls is a fun 80s RPG. New Super Lucky’s Tale I believe is supposed to be far superior to the original.

Overall a really great month for GamePass IMO.

Streets of Rogue and De Blob are the games this week. Streets of Rogue you just have to open for the points, and De Blob you have to collect or destroy 60 of something. Not sure which. File size for both games is about 9.6gb total.

I'd imagine any rockstar addition is expensive as hell. We are getting to the point we have so many games and a new system is coming out. I'd imagine cutbacks here and there unless they can get really good deals. Nba makes the most sense at least with the new version out. It's $5 on eShop this week so I'd imagine cheap soon if it's not already.

I just had a lightning strike my Scorpio. It's the second time I have had it fixed since launch. Both times, the HDMI port fried, and I got power, could hear movement, but it wouldn't project.

I opted to spend the $250 to fix. It was about a 10-day turnaround, wasn't bad at all. The only complaint is that I sent the power cord with it, and they sent me a console with no power cable. So I haven't been able to boot it up, and they're supposed to send me one in 10-14 days.

When my console went out, I went to like 8 different stores searching for another console for the time being, finally found an S at Sam's for $300. Resale sites are all $250-$300 for used OG Xboxes. So surely I can get that for one or both of these when Series X comes out.

Anyway, that's just my experience and thought process.

You can scavenge the power cable from any PC or monitor you aren't using or some other larger electronics. Also, you can find them in just about any store (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, pawn shop, gaming store, etc.).

I've played and beaten 7 of those games in the series and I legit can not tell you a single memorable song in any of those games besides maybe some drunken pirate singing, but that's about it. You can tell me the game is otherwise silent or full of long fart noises and I'd believe you.

I can't really describe it. I just enjoy the game more without the power armor. I can't find cores as easily as you stated. I'm over it as I also feel like I move quicker and faster without the armor. I also get to use the cool perks of each apparel I find throughout the Wasteland.

I'm currently away for a month for work. Been here a week so far and have only got to play Fallout 76 twice because I can't connect to the servers. It just doesn't seem to like the Wi-Fi. Resetting the Wi-Fi is not an option and that's all pretty much Google tells me to do. I even switched my One X to 720p to see if that might work but no. I was able to get in once after trying for about 10 minutes but didn't realize the game logs you off after a certain amount of time being idle and I was not able to get back on that day.

Next time I was able to get on, it took 7 tries but I was only able to play for an hour and a half. I tried to connect for 30 minutes today but wasn't able to. Just kept getting a screen that's read disconnected from server or taking too long to connect to server. Over the last week I have tried at random times but like I typed earlier, was only able to connect twice. Was going to download on my laptop and see if that worked but it's not a play anywhere game so my save would not carry over and I'm not starting over again so that won't work. I might not be playing much if at all the next 3 weeks.

Well like I said, movement speed in PA is identical out, I'm always keeping pace with my GF who hates PA. And you can easily get enough cores if you take over all 3 power plants, as long as nobody screws with you anyway.

That's some shit WIFI. If it is stable enough that you can stay online, you can always do the rubber band trick to stay logged in, I did it during the Fastnacht Event overnight, only got disconnected once or twice because their servers suck. Also got nuked a few times because people are dicks. I'd idle inside the Wayward, you can't get killed in there.

I started playing CrossCode and thought it was the Chrono Trigger inspired kickstarter game that got Yasunori Mitsuda to compose music that I had read about some time ago.  The soundtrack fooled me at first but I was disappointed that it wasn't a turn based JRPG.

It turns out that the game I was actually thinking of is Sea of Stars.  It's an RPG prequel to The Messenger, and features music from the Chrono Trigger composer.  There's a demo coming out for PC in a couple days, but I doubt the full game is coming out anytime soon.

Sorry I was mistaken. It's the smaller two-prong power cable that looks like a figure eight (non-polarized) that can be found in smaller consumer electronics and most of those stores I mentioned. [emoji16]

If you're considering playing Creature in the Well, I'd highly recommend it. It's also a pretty quick completion (I think I finished it over a long play one morning and got all of the achievements to boot). I'd estimate it took me about 5 hours to do everything.

Hmm, I played Creature in the Well for a couple hours when it came out and thought it was decent, but didn't like it quite as much as I thought I would. Also, the aiming felt a little difficult to get down. I'll probably try it again, but at this point, I guess I should start over.

If anyone has Forza Motorsport 6: Apex in their backlog, the paid DLC spotlight events closed back on the 1st, so it's not currently possible for a new player to get all the achievements even if they have the game on their profile and bought DLC.  2 of the 24 achievements are affected.

Add me to the list of those who have to go back and finish Creature in the Well. It was pretty fun so far, but like others said, there’s a frustrating boss fight later on that’s been bugging me and I haven’t gone back in a while.

Also, count me in on SpiritFarer. Been following it for a while, and though it’s different than what I’d normally play, it looks great, and it’s by the devs that made Jotun which was very enjoyable.

I agree having RDR2 (and GTAV) on GP was likely stupid expensive. Still feels like three months is somewhat short though given the amount MS (and Sony) paid to have one or both games on GP and PSnow.

Also thanks for the heads up about NBA 2K20 being on sale for $5 on the Switch. Had I not seen it I would have missed out on getting it digital for dirt cheap. I traded my physical copy at Gamestop after seeing your post.

Enjoyed 2K19 for $3 and I'll enjoy 2K20 for $5 - love the massive drops in price on the older 2K games. Honestly, if they dropped WWE 2K18 down to that price, I'd grab it flaws and all just for a 3D portable wrestling fix.

AC2 for sure. Ezio’s Family is one of the best video game songs ever. I thought Black Flag had a good soundtrack too with “The Ends of the Earth” being so breathtaking. “The Parting Glass” that’s at the epilogue isn’t in the soundtrack I think buts it’s easy to find on YouTube and is usually in playlists people make for Assassin’s Creed.


On a side note, I booted up Creature in the Well on my X1X and holy crap! I’ve never heard my fan get that loud.
