• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Looking really bleak..the only title I'm interested in is Mirage which I actually pre-ordered based on the fact it actually will be a smaller title not an endless open world and going back to the roots of what AC games originally were...

The only real surprise in that list is no Just Dance, but then again I can totally see that being the unnamed title.

Also they're introducing Assassin's Creed "Smart Collectibles". So you can have digital figurines to collect and yeah~~~ The only positive I can say in all this is that they've finally realized neck gaiter man from the first Watch Dogs isn't the iconic character that they tried making people believe he was.

I saw something about the development issues becoming a problem. It’s future doesn’t look promising. I’ve loved Assassin’s Creed since the first until Valhalla came out. I’m tapping out. Same with Far Cry.

Yeah, Overwatch 2 was announced back in 2019 with heavy focus on a fully fleshed out PVE mode and campaign. Each hero having a full skill tree and long-term progression. Think something along the lines of L4D combined with Borderlands or Destiny, but without randomized loot. Also the campaign was going to be a retail purchase, not fully F2P like the multiplayer.

They showed quite a bit of it during the announcement, multiple levels, fully implemented abilities, they flew out content creators to try it. Between that and the fact that OW1 was on life support for a while already at that point it's safe to assume this PVE mode was in development for the better part of 5 years, maybe 6.

Jeff Kaplan left not too long after it was shown, right before the sexual assault stuff hit the fan, and slowly all of the stuff he announced was changed.

Without this mode, OW2 existing is a much more naked justification to convert from the loot box system that was quite good to regular players, to the microtransaction/battlepass hell that it is now.

I have not heard of Scorpio Player. I use Kodi for what appears to be a similar feature set, and is free. It has a highly customizable interface and you can also add features through optional add-ons.

If you don't see it show up in a Special Offers section then you weren't targeted for the JFY deals and they won't be as visible to you as a targeted user. That's probably intentional though because I'm sure they are testing/researching how often and how much targeted users spend on special offers (if these offers are clearly visible to them and they don't have to do much searching to find them) vs non-targeted.
