• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Was watching Kinda Funny Games Daily today and Greg Miller talking about his experience on NG+ number 5 has made me super excited to play starfield. He spends the first 15 mins of the show talking about it. There's still 10 months before that happens. I would think it's in the works maybe for an end of year sale and summer sale.

I would probably look at the other recent store closures for an idea of what to expect. I think Capcom and Sega were the main ones doing fire sales on the Nintendo shops.

He spends the first 15 mins of the show talking about it. Non spoiler he says this is the first time he feels like a dev is not just spitting hyperbole when saying rolling credits is just the beginning.

I really enjoyed the Lego 2K Drive. It was free to play on the weekend. Has anyone seen it get a deep discount? I am assuming its stay pricey for a long time. The story is just great. It popped for me. I went to the first level and did a few levels, I think it popped in the 4th level - the one where you can swing across a gap with a rope on a tree, though it popped before I got that far into the level. I tried pulling myself up on various ledges and objects, like the train in the 2nd level. At one point, I checked the app and I was at 33%.

Meters climbed is one of the game's stats available from your profile, check if yours is increasing. When I was at 33%, my stat was at 3,440. After I finished the quest, it was at 3,470.

Nope. I'm guessing it could be at some point since it's in a Humble Monthly bundle. Also since it is self-published, I could see the developers wanting to get some extra cash as the sales slow down.

But Wonderlands is not Borderlands. Tales I can understand because it has Borderlands in its name.

Though I've not played the game, I would like to see them expand Wonderlands and turn that into its own thing so it can have its own collection.

They really seemed to stop supporting Wonderlands pretty quick. I was never a DnD guy. The game was decent but not something I feel the need to play again. That said I would probably play Wonderlands 2 if ever came out.

I feel compelled to make sure people understand what they're signing up for with this game as I was heavily blindsided today by NG+ info. I will keep this spoiler-free as I myself have not completed the game yet so much of my understanding is second-hand anyway, so if anyone does not want any meta on this then feel free to stop reading. HOWEVER, I highly recommend you do read on because I feel it is information that was withheld and reviewers were gagged on which explains A LOT.

First of all, it's important to understand that NG+ is non-traditional. What you keep are your levels, your perks, your special abilities and your research. That is all. This means that all decisions, outposts, missions, gear--all of it are discarded when starting NG+. You are given the option WHEN to begin that journey even after beating the game, so there is that at least but you can already see the double-edged sword forming around this issue.

People are split on whether your first playthrough should be rushing the main campaign in order to start NG+ and then take your time, or the other way around. The reason it's controversial is many people are caught off-guard by this at the end and have to weigh keeping their 'save' vs NG+ rewards. This is why that one post about "not wanting to invest 50+ hours just to start the game" blew up and people said, "well then just don't play the game". The problem is context was withheld and now I'm on that person's side that had I known all my progress, not just missions, would be lost (sans some levels and research) I would not have invested so much time into outposts or my companions.

In fact, I LOVE my outpost and wouldn't give it up for the world right now but I'm being forced to make that tough decision of abandoning all care about this playthrough, one that I have up to this point cherished, and sprint to the end just to try NG+. I love my ship crew and their banter, the choices I've made, and careful curation of my save. It can all be rebuilt but I wish I'd known up front that this is how the game was designed so I wasn't attached and could toss it all away.

The game is good, incredible at times but the fact that Bethesda kept this quiet is infuriating. It's why all reviews mention/lament wishing they had waited to do XYZ until later but could not provide crucial context around why. That's lying by omission in my book and fueled my decision to get a refund on the deluxe edition upgrade since we can't even say for sure if Shattered Whateverthe expansion will only be NG+ accessible or not. If it is, whooooo boy GOOD LUCK BETHESDA. You deserve that ass-whooping.

Speaking for myself, I'm unsure what to do now and have been in limbo all night over it. I'm leaning towards never experiencing NG+ because of sunk cost fallacy, and that feels like an absolute game design failure on their part. The point of NG+ should be to experience new quest paths, but not at the expense of throwing away your investment in it. In fact, taking time to type this all out has almost solidified that decision now since I can also hold out hope that Bethesda does the right thing and patches in some way to retain more in each playthrough. As it stands, they're asking far too much of gamers who value their time.

The problem with that absolute is not everyone cares enough about what changes each time. The people who do rush the campaign do so because they want to experience it all, but not be forced to kill their save in the process. Spending 30 hours just to get to NG+ is seen as the optimal path in order to do it all without any regrets.

A while back, on some site that speculates on Gamepass titles I come across here and there, listed it as possible. I don’t know how well Midnight Suns sold but it didn’t get the criticism Avengers did. I can’t help but think it’d end up on Gamepass because it seems like all Marvel games have shown up there. I’d give it another shot if it did.

My time with the game was mostly to test drive my rig while playing at 1440p Medium presets. I also checked out the DLSS mod and it's amazing how much better the image quality is compared to FSR2. Also played a little on Series S and it actually plays quite well to my surprise!

For now, I'm going to put it away and revisit it at least two years out.

If you go into the menu screen. Click on your mission tab which is the bottom screen. Open what quest you want and select it m. Make sure it has a blue mark next to it. Go back to normal mode and use your lb button to open your scanner there will be arrows that walk you right to the item or person on your quest
