I think the price is pretty reasonable although I wonder how they are going to deal with overlapping titles. For example, I already own Gauntlet. Assuming it shows up as a Game Room title, will I get free access to it already on 360 or what?

Ah well, Perfect Dark is looking pretty awesome. Some great upcoming stuff too between Doom 2 and Final Fight.

EDIT - Oh and Duke 3d for 400 points is a no-brainer. I misspent an entire summer of my youth playing Duke 3d and Blood over a modem with my friends, just reliving the single player mode is well worth $5.
 
The sky is falling! Swine are airborne! Microsoft actually posted a Game on Demand that's not insanely overpriced!

I checked the usual places (Gamestop, Amazon, Vgpc), and apparently $19.99 for Beautiful Katamari is a good deal. I'm speechless.

They have already said the Game Room titles are classified different then the versions already on XBLA. If you already own Gauntlet or Pac-Man but you want them for your Game Room it will cost you another $3.

Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't really looked to see if anything had been mentioned. Boourns to them for that. Oh well, I think Gauntlet is the only XBLA game I have that might show up on Game Room.

For a full game, I could see $3 as reasonable. I mean, something like Gauntlet has enough content where that's ok. But look at old old titles like Pacman and Centipede and such, and you've basically got 1-3 levels over and over and over with maybe a palette swap and faster enemies. $3 for that is overcharging IMO.
 
Do you have to make a purchase in the Game Room or will the mere download of the (Free) Game Room count for the rebate? I can't find that information anywhere.

That's fairly rude, and I'd say there's a good chance I'm probably older than you regardless.

In any case, I've played my share of these games (hell, I've owned my fair share of these games). I'm well aware they exist just to get high scores. But that doesn't make them any less dated. Or any less available as free flash games on a million different websites. $3 is a very large price to pay when I can turn around and get any number of XBLA titles for $5 (or hell, there are tons of huge *and cheap* collections of these games out there you can buy).

If you want to pay that much, that's fine. But this is CAG. Sorry for thinking this is not a good deal.

definitely downloadable game of the year's best contender.

Game Room is looking like a stinker, but I'm hoping they offer some bundle deal down the line or take user feed back and adjust.

Forgot about that one. You know, with Perfect Dark I almost don't mind that 360 is getting it so much later than the rest (I could get it on Wii, but damn if I don't want to deal with all the SD card swapping involved).
 
There are several shooters I want right now, but seriously nothing has me as pumped as Perfect Dark. Obtaining rare was such a good move by MS for gamers. A virtual console version (emulated) would not have compared to this release in the slightest.

I had MM10 and Zeno Clash there, but listed under the quote. I adjusted it.
 
WOW not bad for this summer , the new editions for me would be PD & MM10. Toy soldiers . . mmeehh & Scrap Metal . . ill try the demo. As for the deals im in on some Duke Nukem 3D LOL , also DOOM 2 . . . very nice!!!
 
Never played PD and thus...I guess I don't care! But I'm very excited for PB winterbottom, when do the games get added? Like time of day estimate? Also looking forward to the game room if it's half decent, could be fun.

WTF! I just got Duke Nukem 3D like 2 days ago to play with a friend!!!!! DAMN YOU MICROSOFT! At least there's gonna be a bigger community on Dukematch now....at least that's a plus.

Me too I have been waiting on the dukes price to drop. These deals of the week are killing me. I hope ms gets the message lower prices sell.
 
I bought Duke when it came out and enjoyed the hell out of it. Still wish they had made some attempt to HD-ify the graphics (it's very pixely, esp. on a 50" plasma tv :p) but it's still a fun game.

They also included the expansion with it which is nice (though I need to beat that campaign sometime yet, I only got partway through it)

Xbox UK no longer lists the 400pt rebate and 1mo Gold information.

I added the release dates and prices for Lazy Raiders and Greed Corp
 
for those that bought battlefield, are the servers at all improved since the beginning of the week? i really want to get it, but i'm just really worried about $10 going down the tubes because of shitty connection.

Not trying to be jerk about it, but I try to go with solid info. Even the source for the release date has since been redacted, but I kept it since it was from the horse's mouth. Even Xbox UK jumped the gun, dropped all the release dates for March and a 400 pt rebate (which has since disappeared). I'll take an inference, like if PSN said $9.99

I just don't want to mislead people and get:

"ZOMG MM10 is 1600 space bones; Reddjoey @ CAG said 800, not cool 4 realz!!11"
