Wow, I was just considering buying Duke Nukem 3D too! As well as Serious Sam, but I need 400MSP so I can get both! Argh!

Thanks Reddjoey. I was looking for a list like this to bookmark, without going to Major Douchebag's site.

Sweet, I have been waiting for Serious Sam HD XBLA to go on sale. I have it on PC and it's great.

Hope Earthworm Jim HD turns out good!

Does anyone know a better way of managing MS points? It sucks having like 287 left over randomly from buying stuff. I don't even buy stuff that often, its been a while, but I hate getting left over points which is money just sitting there. But I guess thats what MS wants.

Whenever I have like $2.87 left over in my wallet, I just throw it away because obviously I'm not ever going to use it in the future.

I never waste my MS points, no matter how odd a number I have left. Buy enough oddly priced things that you want and those odd little sums eventually add up.
My kid wants Splosion Man bad, I may have to buy it. Thanks OP :)
Your kid may need your help to beat it--it's a pretty challenging game :)

I'm tempted by COD: Classic once it hits 800 MSP but, I get the feeling they'll do a 560 sale on it in the near future around the release of Black Ops.

I might have to buy Serious Sam HD now they announced it on sale this next week also. And definitely buying Earthworm Jim HD.

yea I never buy odds n ends on live. If I ever end up with odd leftovers of points (which is rare) I just let them sit there until they amount to a nice 800 M$pts item I want.

The online is completely dead. That may change a bit with this sale, but you have been warned.

After taking the LSAT this Monday, I'll be playing games like there's no tomorrow. I'm in for Worms 2, BF2, Earthworm Jim HD, Snoopy Flying Ace and maybe SSHD.

Can anyone let me know how the Prince of Persia game has aged? I loved it on my friends Macintosh Classic, not sure if I would like it as much now. Just wondering?

I played it on the SNES back when it came out and still really enjoyed the remake. The game is fairly forgiving on the exact timing of your jumps and the animation is as fluid as ever.

One of the achievements is pretty rough, though: you have to play through the entire game without dying once.
when do these deals usually go live? Wondering if I should just sleep or wait to play Duke Nukem
Go to sleep and rest. I'm in central time and they usually don't update until about 11am or 12 noon so basically lunch time.

well then majornelson should say 6/7.5

In for Peggle and maybe Serious Sam HD. I tried the demo for Snoopy vs the Red Baron and I liked it like I knew I would. Now I have to stop being a cheap ass and convince myself to buy it at MSRP.

I just happened to log onto my splitscreen secondary profile (Silver, was gold for a month for some demos) and I got 400 MSP somewhere along the line...

Can anyone confirm that Arcade games purchased on one account can be played on other profiles on the same system? I did some googling, and it seems like you can, but I wanted to be sure. Might put a code on this account so I can get Duke without buying a $5 card.

Yes. All dlc purchased on a gamertag is tied to the console's serial # and if anything happens to ya 360 you can do a license transfer and every account will be able to play content from another account too.

That's awesome, thanks! :D

Now, if this stuff would just go on sale already!
Do people still play Battlefield 1943?
I played the trial yesterday morning, and I was in a 6v6. It was very boring, though, since I imagine the max player limit is probably 8v8 or 12v12... Also, my team sucked horribly and had no points captured on Wake. :p

Looked like half of the players were also just playing the trial as well, since they didn't have ranks.

Finally tried the demo of Prince of Persia Classic last night before the sale ended. Couldn't pull the trigger, I just really didn't like it. I played the original and feel that's the better game.

I'll be spending the 400MSP I had earmarked for PoPC on Peggle this week.

was waiting for ssHD to drop so i'll be hopin on that today or tomorrow. anyone that wants to play some coop serious sam or duke nukem, hit me up! gamertag is to the left.

I'll be adding you, and I'll be having both thanks to this sale. :)

Turns out that wasn't 400MSP on my silver account, but my gamerscore... fail!

Now to feed MS my CC info for 400 points. I can feel the money suckling away now, lol.

Considering Serious Sam 2 is coming out should I just wait for that to eventually go on sale? Was debating on Serious Sam HD or Duke Nukem (never played either one fully except the demos).
Serious Sam 2 doesn't replace part 1. They're different levels, and part of the same overall story.
Would you say Serious Sam is better than Duke Nukem?
Would you say Serious Sam is better than Duke Nukem?
Better? The price reflects the content, atleast...

Duke Nukem is great, but Serious Sam has more content for most people, I'd say. Both are worth it IMO. Duke has deathmatch (probably relatively stale deathmatch), don't think SS1 has deathmatch. Both have coop, but Duke does not have split screen.

Also, I don't see a PayPal option on the Zune website. Bah. As long as I can remove my CC info afterwards.

Edit: didn't know they added the 400 point option to xbox.com -- Problem solved.

Edit 2: Now I'm getting an Error 40001 when I try to add a paypal account...
i havn't played any pv port games, anyone recomend any of them?
Peggle, Serious Sam and Duke Nukem are worth trying at the very least. Peggle is addictive, and SS + Duke Nukem have great histories behind them on the PC.

Worms 2 is pretty awesome. I got the first one last summer since I had 500MSP left over and then bought Worms 2 when it was released. It improves on pretty much every negative aspect of the first. Campaign is great and it's really fun to play friends over Live. :)
