Xbox Live DOTW: The Maw plus DOTD: Battlefield 1943

If you buy the (expansion dlc) gta iv episodes from liberty city game disc you do not need the original gta iv as it is it's own stand alone game. So end of that discussion on that and this is the only game that offers that choice. I hope magic: tg does come back into the deals or something different. I noticed alot of people already have braid and castle crashers so blah @ those deals.

not really as that's an apples to oranges comparison

That's DLC that was made into a stand alone expansion. You can't buy the DLC on Live and straight up play

Edit to rephrase:

That's what he asked for, stand alone content. You don't need to own the original game (Red alert 3) to play it.

um, no, he asked for DLC or an add-on that you can play separately. Commander's Challenge is neither, its a bite sized separate spin off.
Is it just me or has shadow complex been 1200 for the last two days??
you gotta login with a gold account to see the 800 point price because the deal of the week deals are for gold accounts only. and 48 hr trials dont work, but 1 month ones do.
Do the Deals of the Day, erm, only last for the day?
Depends on how lazy Microsoft is. MvC2 was 560 for a couple days, Worms 2 is still 400 points (possibly permanent).

Worms 2 is a great deal at 400 points. A big improvement over the first.

All of the DLC releases/deals for the 360 version of Fallout 3 makes me sad I went with the PS3 version.
um, no, he asked for DLC or an add-on that you can play separately.
By your definition it's the stupidest question ever asked.

because it kinda is, especially when it comes to consoles

yes you can. I own tlad and play it "straight up" on xbl in all types of modes. they did the retail game disc of both dlc so it gave people an option. either play both game modes on 1 disc offline or have them purchase it in a digital way through xbl downloads. The game disc is cheaper now as i've seen it go for $29.99 new and each dlc is still 1600 points.

Should one play the Falllout 3 content in any order? I own the original game (not finished yet) and I snagged the Broken Steel/Point Lookout disc at Target for $8 (in my backlog). Thinking about getting 1 or 2 of the remaining 3 but unsure which to get. I'd get all 3 but I'm saving points for later in the week. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I blame csmason1.

So, back on topic: tomorrow is supposed to be the Rolling Stones track pack. Eh.
yay maw tomorrow!
All I know about The Maw is that you had to find him in Splosion Man for an achievement. Worth the 400 points?

Operation Anchorage has an AMAZING Stealth Suit you can get after completing the quest. I'd suggest it. My wife is fond of the energy weapons, so she likes going through Mothership Zeta A.S.A.P..

Ok, you are saying you can launch TLaD without any disc in the drive? The only way you can is if you bought GTAIV from GoD and that makes TLaD DLC.

GTAIV: EFLC is two pieces of DLC made available at retail. That package runs separately from GTAIV and is a retail game.

It's all semantics.

If you guys need help deciding, here's the definitive order of purchase:

1-Broken Steel (continues story past the endpoint, raises level cap to 30)
2-Point Lookout (Tons of content in an awesome new environment, tons of new quests, my personal favorite)
3-Mothership Zeta (interesting storyline with some fun missions, a bit of a letdown)
4-Operation Anchorage (straightforward shooter mission that takes place in a simulator, the quest is pretty average but the rewards are pretty nifty
5-The Pitt (terrible in almost every way. takes place in a few streets and buildings and that's it. you hardly get to explore pittsburg and the missions are very unimaginative)

And I blame you. Nanny nanny boo boo. And btw, mikejenks answered your challenge to the forum. Didja miss that post?

No go on the Rolling Stones pack for me.

no he didn't, he just pointed out an arcade game based around C&C: Red Alert
Finally decided to get Shadow Complex :D
You will not be disappointed. I just finished it a few minutes ago. It is an amazing game for an arcade game. It was well worth the 800 points I spent. I'm probably getting ready to go back through it on a more difficult level now.

Great action, great voices, awesome weapons. How could you go wrong?
Great action, great voices, awesome weapons. How could you go wrong?
Emphatically seconded. I just bagged it right under the wire for the 800 points, and spent four hours playing the damn thing. it's amazing, it's seriously like Metroid Prime only with cool mecha suits and a badass reluctant secret agent type instead of Samus.

I Think just Point Lookout and Broken Steel are only DLC worth getting. The Pitt and OA felt really short and going through Zeta right now and I'm literally bored as hell playing it. Nothing, but narrow corridors.

Finally activated my Xbox Live 1-month code in the evening in order to buy Shadow Complex for 800 points.

Any good/free stuff for gold members only? ;)

the nice thing about having Fallout 3 for PC is...eventually, the GotY version will be 0.99 on GoGamer just for the extra DLC (as it would cost me more to buy each DLC than the GotY version itself). I think I can wait on for that next year or so as there's so many games to play til then. Looking forward to see what's next on the holiday deals.

There is an advert for the Maw 50% off in the spotlight channel but when you click it has 800 points still guess they haven't updated yet.

Dammit all, I completely forgot about Shadow Complex. Doubt it'll be back to 800 anytime soon.

Curse my cheapness, if I only I bought a 360 wireless adapter I could have avoided this.

Oh well, if the rumored 400 points Battlefield 1943 ends up being true it would make up for this.

You can still get shadow complex. Hasn't gone back up yet. Just buy on xbox.com and dl later if you don't have your xbox connected to live atm.

Thanks for the heads up - went to xbox.com this morning but didn't notice that I wasn't logged in, so it still showed 1200. Took another look after seeing this and snagged it for 800 after logging in.

Wasn't Worms 2 for 400 points a DOTD early on? It's still 400 points and I still haven't checked out Worms 1 which I've had for a while.
