So I've decided to go tomorrow after work to pick up my preorder. I saw the official bestbuy support forum and it says i have 8 days to pick it up
What I want to know though is are there any event going on at bestbuy (i.e. free shirts, merchandises, etc...) to those who attend the midnight launch?

Yeah at my BestBuy they are going out Xbox Shirts, beanies, bags, dead rising/forza/ryse keychains and a couple of other things. I will post pics later.
 
Payed for my system a 1 year xbox live day one that was $20 off with console purchase, forza 5, and an extra controller with play and charge kit. Now there letting us wait in the store until midnight to get our consoles. No giveaways or anything. About 40 more minutes and ill be home free. Sucks I have to go to work in the morning.



Are you going to use that Shadow Jago code :D

I can trade a forza car code and ghost gun skin code.

You are the one who is so wrong, Cowboy. 2k even took out end game highlights and no local co-op for season or franchise. One thing that really baffles me is they removed out the individual defensive options. I thought this was a basketball sim? Went to my gamestop midnight launch got my Day One Xbox One and he randomly drew a number I ended up getting a free game the manager bought out of his own pocket!

 
Updating mine now. No issues right now. 507MB update.

Edit: Update took 7 minutes to download, 2 to install/reboot

Same thing basically throughout, but you can get the idea of what I'm doing now when I say running and playing Halo.  I wish I had done more lighting but it wasn't planned ahead of time how I was going to do it and if I do it again I'll make it better.

I ran 3 miles in about 28 minutes after walking a slow mile to start the level off before I started recording.

 
Got both of my consoles on hold for will call in the morning. Got 5 games in today and another coming tomorrow. Also got my Lumia 1520 a day early today so lots of new tech this week.

You guys get all of your updates done so it's quick for me in the morning.
 
Can someone do me a solid and post a picture of the Xbox One bundle from Costco when it arrives?  I want to know if the extra controller and Xbox live card are in the actual console box or separate.

My store has none. :( I might see if I can return my forza for the limited edition tho if I can do an instore pick up at a different best buy tomorrow. If not I'm not that worried about it. 7 more minutsz until I walk out of my store with my console!!! Sucks not a day one edition but I payed for most of it with gift cards from trading most my games in.
Did anybody have any luck getting exchanging any 360 games for xbox one games at the microsoft stpre without a receipt?
 
If crowd at my Best Buy and Gamestop are any indication, XBox One is in some major trouble.

GameStop: PS4 launch was over 100 units and a huge crowd by 11PM. I didn't stay through the launch for XBone since I didn't have a console, but there was no crowd.  Just five dudes in camper chairs and one guy in the store. I flipped some Slim AC Adapters and left.  It was a sad sight.

Best Buy: Swung by on the way home to see if the crowd was any better. Small pre-order line (~20 people) and a second line for folks getting tickets to buy systems.  They were still handing out tickets so I got in line.  By 11:45 they were STILL giving out tickets.  Sounds awesome, right?  Lots of stock!  But no.  They only had 44 units to sell though.  Don't think they even managed to move them all tonight. I'll probably return mine since I was mostly hoping to flip.  At least the guys in line were cool.

 
Rippin...you're making us look bad. I'm a playstation guy too. Why are you in this thread ripping the xbox fans? Like I said, I'm a playstation guy also. But guess what? I have a day one edition xbox one arriving tomorrow from amazon. Just because playstation is my favorite console brand, doesn't mean I don't also want to play Ryse and Halo, or even Mario and Smash Bros for that matter. There is nothing wrong with having a favorite console or brand. Stop pissing on the xbox launch. I would have been annoyed if somebody did to us last Friday what you're doing to them now.

That same sort of thing happened to me on the PS4 when I ran it the first time.

Is it installing after the game launched or does the Xbox One start the install before you get into the game?

I just put it in while on the dashboard and it went to installing. I believe you can't play it w/o at installing--but you can play at 50% installation.

I know 2k is a large file.

In his defense they did the same thing when the failures started.

They were posting any and everything they could negative about the PS4 which had zero to do with the X1.

Yup, I'm more than willing to trade my standard edition + $50 for their Day One edition, but I doubt I'll find anybody willing.

Ok, just wasn't sure if 2K did their install process the same on the Xbox One as on the PS4.

Bummer that you have to wait that long to play it, it is a huge install for both systems.

My GS had over 200+ people in line by 11pm. I'm getting mine from Amazon but my friend just got back from getting his over there. It really depends where you are, what the people demand, etc. Too many factors to make a bold statement from one location.

 
Well, the PS4 being cheaper and coming out earlier has a lot to do with it.

The Xbox One will be fine as long as it has good games, and I lean to neither console.

No swag, but they were giving out coupons for $5 off a game or accessory over $20. The coupon was supposed to be a make good for folks who couldn't get a system because they ran out to stock -- "We regret that we weren't able to offer you an XBOX ONE. Demand for this new product is very high and we have run out of inventory for now. Because we value your business, we'd like to offer you this coupon to use toward a video game software or accessory purchase."

Even though they had systems left, they gave them to everyone in line. Expires 11/30, so I guess I'll use it to knock something down even more on Black Friday.

I said "if my stores are any indication." They may not be, but I'm in pretty deep green territory. My GS had over 1000 Ghosts 360 preorders, 1/3 as many for PS3. It'll be interesting to see what others report. At least one other user reported their BBY didn't sell through.
