There also wasn't this kind of hype machine 7-8 years ago, we didn't really have the 24-hour game news cycle that there is now. I think it's funny to say the games can't possibly not live up to expectations. Dead Rising hasn't had to sell consoles. Hell people might be suffering from zombie fatigue at this point, they are

ing everywhere. Forza looks pretty, but also hasn't had to carry a launch. It also carries into the franchise fatigue. It's the 6th Forza game in 8 years, that's not leaving a lot of time for innovation. Most look forward to brand new IPs in a new generation, or at least old franchises in new fresh ways rather than what we've already seen. DR3 is bigger and possibly improved, but is it still pretty much the same game underneath? I want the games on both consoles to be awesome and justify a purchase but right now it seems more likely that they won't given that the biggest most-anticipated titles are either available on stuff we already own, which will be fine for most, or off in the at least kind of distant future, the delay of Watch Dogs being such a huge deal shows just how weak this launch is for both really, there isn't a whole lot to step up in it's place.
