Once again why would they want to show the PC and Xbox One logo? If they do, they are just advertising for their competitors.

It's not going to be a massive amount of advertisement you seem to be overstating that. But to some consumers (Like myself) it comes off as them being intentionally deceitful and that's just poor since they've taken a ton of jabs at Microsoft over the years only to adapt the same dirty tactics now.

Also wanted to update on Dead Rising 3. The Season pass is also available for $20 down for $30, I'm going to grab that too as I doubt it'll go lower for awhile.

 
It's just business and marketing 101 things you do if you want people to get it on your console instead. But when it comes down to it all this exclusive content stuff is pretty stupid for gamers and I hope it ends soon.

Well the Alpha has only 3 modes open and one location which is on Earth in what looks like a post apocalyptic Russia, except on the pvp you also go to the moon.

One of the modes is free roam, in this mode you use your little computer companion called a ghost to help find beacons. These beacons begin mini quests similar to what you would find in other mmo's like kill 10 of this etc.

The next mode is a co-op mission called the Devil's Lair, what this does is it couples you up with 2 other players and it's a co-op mission, the co-op feels a lot like Halo co-op but anyway if you all die before someone respawns you have to start over at the previous checkpoint, however you can revive fallen players, or you can respawn in 20 seconds. This was my favorite mode.

Then the third mode is pvp, there looks like 7 different pvp modes, but only 1 is open and it's dominion mode. Basically it's 6v6 and there are 3 bases, you have to capture them by standing next to a flag, and if it's taken by an enemy you have to stand there twice as long to neutralise then take over, and defend them if you already have them, it was pretty fun.

The gameplay and guns feel like halo, even the weight of the characters with the exception that you can double jump which is crazy fun as people who've played Titanfall would know. The other difference and where a lot of people compare it to borderlands is when you shoot an enemy you see the hit points drain off of them in the exact same way borderlands does it.

As far as loot, you can find uncommon or rare armor and weapons and they will actually upgrade as you use them. There is also a hub where you go and you can buy weapons etc and all the typical mmo stuff there. Anyway the game is so much better than the videos portray it to be, it sucks they capped the level at 8 because I want to get back in there and play more.

Another cool feature is a vehicle is part of your equipment and you can basically spawn it at any time, and the vehicle you get at the beginning drives a lot like the purple Covenant speeders in halo.

Anyway if you really want to see it just go to twitch, tons of people are streaming gameplay on there.

I don't think Microsoft said/showed games like rise of the tomb raider were coming to PS4 during thier conference. It's not really a big deal.

Double tap to snap. I use double tap to switch from the snapped app (usually GameDVR, now BrazilNow) and when I double tap to go to the snapped app the interface zooms out to the home screen where I can select the snapped app manually. Minor inconvenience atm.

Sony also talked about how great the ps4 is and how many consoles they are selling while Phil Spencer showed humility by complimenting Sony and Nintendo.

 
With E3 I think all consoles sales get a brief boost in sales. Hell after Nintendo Direct a lot of people on here started to look for a Wii U.

May numbers should be out next week. June will be interesting to see for sure though.

I know, Sony took a few jabs at MS during their e3 conference and I thought that was in bad taste on their part.

Yeah that's not PR at all. /s All you have to do is look at sales rankings on sites like Amazon where it hasn't been greater than #40 and even on GameStops website where it currently sits at #100 to know that this is just GameStop trying to move consoles and nothing more. This PR was discussed in full over at GAF if anyone cares to read about it here.

Yeah, it was the only thing NKTRNL was wrong on outside of Tier dates and Quantum Break getting delayed. But really, those are just dates and not a huge deal they guy was pretty much spot on.

They have far too many Xbox Ones sitting in the retail channel to introduce a new color.  This is the reason the Titanfall branded special edition that was a real thing never happened.  Makes me wonder if the Kinectless sku is just repackaged Kinect included units.

 
I have no idea how the Kinect 2.0 is going to sell well with the way its reputation has been getting shit on for the past year. Microsoft would have to spend a lot of money to attempt a relaunch to change the general feeling about the camera.

At least they finally announced a Dance Central game. That's my main use for the original Kinect and the new one has some cool features like free access to DLC for people who bought it on the 360.

Also, the indie platformer Fru looks pretty cool.

 
This Holiday will really make or break the Kinect. It'll be up to games like Fantasia and Dance Central Spotlight to push the hardware towards those games intended demographics (Families, and Party Fans). If they end up not selling well I can't see anybody except maybe Ubisoft developing for it anymore.

That being said I'd like to imagine it'll do decently this Holiday. Dance Central garnered quite a fan base and that was a surprise since it was a new game on some pretty gimmicky (At the time) hardware, not to mention this year the crowds that the Xbox 360 originally had to compete with for those types of games (Like the Wii, and the Playstation Move) won't be giving off as large of an effect as they previously did.

I had read it will include already purchased dlc. I'm hoping that includes songs exported from the first three games, but I doubt it.
 
Let alone the people who'll want to pick one up to stream Twitch gameplay and broadcast themselves along with it, aside from using it for voice controls.
 
IDK, I think the kinectless people are going to miss out on a bit of fun with the peripheral.  I'm not going to miss it for games, really, but there is something undeniably badass about walking into my basement mancave and saying "Xbox On" and having everything fire up.  It's part of the experience. 

But, hey, more X1's sold = more life for the system.  It's all good. 

 
not sure how kinect 2.0 got poop on over last year it was more the price of the system

Has anyone ran into problems going offline? Took my Xbone home where I don't have the internet. I can sign into my profile but I can't view my profile nor will it let me look at the achievements. Tried to play the two games we got from gold and keep getting a error need to insert cd. I played both before going offline just fine.

Achievement data is streamed from the server on the 'bone, not stored on the console. And the Xbox One Games with Gold require a current gold subscription, so if they didn't also require an internet connection you could trick the system into letting you play them even after your subscription had expired.

 
I understand the gwg, but the profile and achievement part I don't get. Before this last update I could view both while offline. I didn't read anything about the updates that would have changed.

I lost like 5k worth of kp spent in killer instinct when I moved my console from one place to another. Pretty much why I don't play that any more. Spent it all on stages. Now it's just depressing to start a match and not be able to pick a stage.

 
Yeah you can't view your profile or look at achivements when offline. However, once you re-connect to online all your achivements will re-sync  and you should be fine. At least I was fine on the same X1, I haven't been to other peoples houses on the X1 then going back home but even then you should be fine considering when you sign into another person's xbox all your games and pins are there.

I can tell you when I was on the 360 I had quite a few issues with cloud saves years ago not syncing correctly. I believe it was fixed overtime cause I haven't ran into the issue for awhile.

Oh, and that's besides all the brainless pedestrians with their incessant snide comments about my driving. Even when you follow the letter of the law, they can't help but tell you what a moron you are.

I have shot more than a few of these asshats. I regret nothing.

I had Madden 25 on the PS4 and liked it. Only reason I want it on the X1 is because I have friends that play it. I havent played BF4 in a few months and Dead Rising 3 I only played briefly. Just not sure which of the 2 I want to keep....

 
I am selling my console to a friend and picking up a new console. I was wondering, when you delete a game from the hard drive it still stays under "ready to install", can his gamertag download those games even though I will download them on a new console? I restored the hard drive and deleted everything on there, but the games still pop as ready to install as if my account is still on the console, The only digital game I bought was PvZ and the rest were all free to play and the games with gold, What I'm trying to get at is when I set up my new console and lets say he sees PvZ and installs it, will that cause a problem with my ability to download and play PvZ?

if your account is not on system he will not be allowed to download them i would try hard boot that might fix it

Pretty much my thoughts too. I actually think the second half or maybe last third of the story was too rushed, the pacing seemed off for some reason. I really enjoyed the hacking/evil corporation part of the story but the who human trafficing/gang bangers part really turned me off. It seemed really pointless and the cynical side of me believes they just included that to be edgy.

Overall I do think it was a pretty good game and I enjoy the non-campaign aspects too. There is a lot more to do than I realized before I picked it up. Still considering trading it in to best buy for $42 since I have a Wii U coming...decisions decisions.

yeah when it came to story near end seems like it could have used more time to build it better. With that said im sure ubisoft said enough is enough and wanted the game out before fall comes.
