Not really. I really enjoyed Shadow Complex and I dig the new Strider, but the only thing that I liked about Guac was the music. And, as a point of reference, I've been gaming about 33 years. I was there when Metroid came out and when Castlevania was a left to right affair.

So, I've played my share of MetroidVania's over the years.
I'm finding that I'm not a big fan of artsy indie games. There have been a few exceptions like Bastion and Limbo, but generally the more stylized a game is, the less I'm into it.
