Wow, totally unexpected that the points will transfer over to the new system. However, note that it says any transferred points with expire one year from the time of transfer. So that means we have a year from Sept/Oct (whenever they transition) to spend all the money that transferred over.

Now I wish I had gotten more of the $5 1200 points codes! But even so, I have enough that I might have to consider picking up a One at least some time before the money expires. Or perhaps we'll be able to buy games on xbox.com without even having the new system yet?

Also, new Star Wars Battlefront is coming - that alone would get me to buy a next-gen system. But it looks like it isn't out till 2014 or 2015 so no hurry there...

Hey, I don't have a problem with this as I wasn't expecting this at all. Is Fable III the first one of these, then, or was that just a mistake?

My only source for what MS said, so far, has been this thread so I'm only getting bits and pieces of info ;).

fable III is the free game for june.

halo 3 and ac2 are the free games for july.

 
I wish Killer Instinct looked cleaner, the way it was looking at the conference I could totally see it on the X360.

Titanfall looked like a ton of fun, but after seeing BF4's graphics it looked a little lacking in the visuals, but still def a game to buy.

I was at the conference this AM, won a contest on Twitter through @XBOX earlier last month...it was pretty cool, man the sound system was unbelievable!!!!

I was 90% sure going to get an XO but after today's conference I pre-ordered my XO at Amazon & Best Buy (not sure where I'll buy at yet) shortly after leaving the conference.

 
that xbox one controller from day one systems is ugly i don't want day one 2013 on my controller that is just dumb

walmart is now also listing games at 60 dollers just like gamestop so is best buy

Did anyone preorder the console yet? Im waiting for the Sony conference before I make a decision. I have $730 trade in credit w/ GS

just seen on ign that on games industry is saying ps4 will have 3 dif skus priced 399 -599 i bet they are diff hard drive space and we should hear info about price tonight. Watch 399 price will be low low hard drive

As long as you can upgrade the HD like the PS3, I'll just buy the low sku and upgrade from there if the price difference is too unreasonable.

It's interesting that they say it's for use only with Xbox One.

Maybe there's a Killer Instinct: Round One for 360 and One which is F2P, and then the full game for Xbox One.

 
Put in a pre-order with Amazon, will do the same for PS4. Will most likely get a ps4 if they have better DRM than MSFT and allow game rentals on the system (big fan of gamefly)

 
Preordered the Xbone at Best Buy with 18 month financing. Can't wait for some Killer Instinct

Will probably preorder the PS4 too once it's up on Best Buy. Unsure if I'll be getting both day 1 though. Seems a bit much.

Well a Vita is 250 but will probably be lowered to 200....so they're giving the 400 dollar PS3 or are they going to give you a bit more if you plop down that much cash? A PSV sounds good and all...but my main problem with it is that I know I would never use it.

Don't understand how you can't understand that all it says is a Day One 12 month membership, and no where makes mention of it being BUNDLED in.

I'm asking for confirmation. Showing a picture of a 12 month live special box means nothing.

Where have you been the last few weeks? If you disconnect from the Internet - after 24 hrs you have to reconnect or your console bricks (other than playing movie).

The Play and Charge Kit includes a new rechargeable lithium ion battery and power cable, allowing users to charge the controller during use — just like the Xbox 360 version, but now it's designed to work with the Xbox One controller's new, flat battery compartment. The chat headset is a more modern version of the one bundled in with the Xbox 360, but instead uses the proprietary new data port found on the Xbox One controller, which makes existing products incompatible.
 
I'm saying how quick they would die. I had 2 or 3 kits die withing 6 months.

They stopped holding a charge.

The lit-ion should be great.

Lithium should be perfect for the controller, glad to see controller batteries starting to use all lithium because Nimh does not work well when chained together by soldering and stuffed into a plastic shell while the batteries could overheat when charging. This goes for all battery packs made with Nimh, the MS play and charge was just 2 Nimh batteries soldered together in a pack which is why they did not last. The lithium will also be much lighter than regular batteries. You should get 2-3 years out of this new pack or more even with constant charging.

Even the Wii u-boost battery uses li-polymer, which is ironic since it looks like 2 Nimh packs strapped together, but it seems lithium is becoming the standard now.

Any other year that would be everywhere. MGS is a huge Sony exclusive. To me that's like Sony taking Gears or Halo...

There's a ton of missinformation going on like always...The package does not include DLC For games, but instead, there are Day One Editions of the games that include Day One DLC:

to be fair 360 did get a mgs game BUT that is not the same i would never think i would see the day snake would be in a game on 360
