I bought and tested a good used system with a Microsoft seal. I bring it to Jeff in Port Richey to get modded and he uses a computer with the wrong chip set for the mod. I overheard him talking about needing to get long screws for another job. Jeff gives me back my Xbox 360 unmodded. I get it home it and discover it wouldn't read disks at all and later discovered the long screws were missing. I take it back to him. His wife Rachael then tells me it has the wrong drive. Now the story changes to the laser drive is burnt out. Now I have nothing but a loss!

Also, make sure you ask for paperwork including serial number to see where their new systems they offer for sale come from.

Now they have graduated to extortion! Jeff / Rachael threaten to make false complaints to my employer if I keep posting the truth about them. Criminal charges will be filed against them if they carry out their threat.

That really isn't too crazy. That's probably what I would ask for and then hope someone offers me $40 or $50. Old or not, it's still a working laptop. That be nice to give to a young kid as their first computer or something. That way, if it breaks, it's not a big deal.

Windows 98 really isn't that awful. By today's standards, I guess it is, but I grew up with 3.1 and DOS (didn't get anything better until my family upgraded to a Windows 98 PC in 1999), so my standards are pretty low.

The fact of the matter is, its a laptop that can go on the internet. For some people that is all they need and $80.00 or less is a bargain.

Hello,

This is a big shot in the dark but I figured I would try. I am trying to build up a collection but the big thing is I dont have a lot of money. I see these games at gamestop and I can get a few at a time. I would rather get these games a tad bit cheaper and be giving money to an actual person. I can't even use the PS2 sport game cases because they have that awful hologram that is a bitch to get off. I normally use PS2 fodder (anything I'd rather trade in than bother to sell) as case replacements when I get decent stuff at Gamestop. That way I don't have to bother taking off 3 stickers, just the godforsaken one they put on the spine.

You know whats fantastic for that? Jampacks. You can get them for $.79 sealed at Kmart.

Also if you ever find yourself needed Gamecube cases, I recently found out you can order brand new ones direct from Nintendo for $0.70 a piece (10 for $7.00).

For free cases, just head to your local blockbuster and ask if they have any extras. Every time I go, I ask, and they always have cases all of the new systems, and DVDs, and they give some to me for free.

Oh please, like anyone would believe that story. I bet it's the girl's father/mother the PSP would go to. I used to sell candy in elementary school to have money for used video games at the flea market. If the girl is real she could do something and save up for it.

It's ridiculous to beg on Craigslist even if someone has one they want to give away they probably would just give it to a good friend of theirs.

Agreed, I use to mark up the fundraiser packs of m&ms I had to sell for soccer and other various organizations from $0.50 to $1.00 to make some extra cash. Blowpops were a huge markup, $5-6 for the box of 100 at Costco, $0.25 a piece. My other favorite were packs of bubble gum, $1.39 for a 7 pack, $0.50 a pack.

Oh I used to sell Blowpops! Those were popular. I also remember making good money on Bazooka Bubble gum packs. :D I had regular costumers and learned what they liked then kept a look out for sales. Good times.
