I get the same shit in my area. Some retard actually paid like $80 for a Sega Genesis with like 5 shit games. (According to the seller whom I emailed and offered $15 to, but they could be B.S.'ing.)
 
Well, who was it in this thread who pointed out someone wanting an NES for $100? I'd gladly go to the local shop and grab an NES and some cheap junk games for $20 and make an $80 profit on them with no qualms about it.

I really should've said 'suuuuuure this will work on the Wii'. Hell, I'll even give them the remainder of a pack of AA's that I bought from Circuit City for $2 late last year on clearance.

Is it a Genesis, GameGear, Nomad, Master System, Saturn, Dreamcast.... It isn't always about the price. If I was in the market for any of those I would call and ask but I have had or have most of those systems already taking up space in a box in a corner somewhere. Ads like this always amuse me like when I was growing up my mom would call any video game I was playing "Nintendo" no mater what I was playing.

No way. The top loader is rare, but not $500 rare. A dealer at my local flea market has five that he sells for $50 each, and he can't move them. I'd buy one, but I don't like that it only has RF out. I've got a Messiah clone that works OK for the NES gaming that I do.

Actually, I stopped trying on CL a while ago. The only people who I tried to 'lowball' were some fuckin' morons who wanted $15 each for some old PS1 games and $30 each if they were multi-disc PS1 games.

The same ads with the same games are still on CL around by me, since the idiots still refuse to lower their prices on the games or the system.

We had some lady like that around here she had an old genny with about 10 crapy(and possibly crapped on) games she was wanting $100 for it, I saw it on craigslist and she randomly popped up at her friends garage sales weely trying to sell it...It was pitiful.

Got scammed on CL today--Was buying Guitar Hero 2 and 3 along with the LE of Gears 2, which I was told all of the codes were never used. I get there and find out the codes were used. I asked him if he uses them. He swears up and down he did not. I figure I can sell the games for a little more than I pay (I paid 45) Turns out the LE dipped a bit in value and of course the codes were used. I called him once and he hung up on me. I've been calling nonstop and it rings three times and goes to voicemail. I wish I could enlist the help of CAG to call him relentlessly, but posting his number here would be against the rules. ;)

Well, what I did was post an ad about his scamming ways along with his address and phone number. He found out, and called me at 2 am and woke me up. I said meh and hung up because I didn't really feel like talking to him. He said he would curb stomp me and that I'm not getting my money back because he already spent it. So, he was talking slow on the voicemail, weighs about 120 pounds, and he for some reason spent 45 dollars in the middle of the night. Sounds like he shot the 45 dollars worth between his toes.

I am thinking about going to his house. I'd like to see him fulfil his promise to curb stomp me because I don't think he can. I'm not the most intidimating guy as you can see from the self avatar, but I sure as hell weigh more than he does.

Yeah I know the feeling. I put wanted ads up all the time in the Washington D.C. area, but I put in the ad how much I am willing to spend. I've even seen them posted here before by someone who shall remain anonymous. Like me asking for Earthbound for $40 cash, or Chrono Trigger for $25. Is there seriously something wrong with that? If someone had them to sell they'd be getting straight cash and don't have to hassle with ebay or amazon bullshit, so I don't see the problem.
