I sell backups for xbox 360. The games are 7 dollars each. All of my games are xbox live safe and stealth patched of course you should always make sure you have the latest firmware.

I can get every single game thats out. I even get most games about a week before they are released. The games are ussually ready in a matter of hours, most people take a couple days.

I burn my games on verbatims made in singapor which are the best quality.

Every game comes with a protective sleeve. I'm not just going to hand you the disk with no case like everyone else does. Thats rediculous.

Email me at [email protected] and we'll talk from there.

Thanks

So this is where all those dumb ass kids learned to "Ghost Ride" their "Whips"?????

Better hide this post from Jack Thompson.

I don't know whether I should post this in the Craigslist Stupidity thread, or the Craigslist Finds thread. It was definitely a score for me cash wise, though the buyer could definitely qualify for this topic.

Anyway, when Wacko Jacko died, I went to my parents' house to try to find any and all Michael Jackson memorabilia my older sister had left there in storage, I mean she had a bunch of his shit from back in the day. I knew she had some original posters from his younger days, but I think I sold all of them on eBay a few years ago, damn my timing :bomb:. I'm talking vintage, hilarious posters of him in an all banana yellow outfit, a poster of him shaking hands with E.T., just some old school early 80's quality goodness.

Anyway, I only found 2 prints of the original "We Are the World" posters, and said fuck it, I'm going to list it on craigslist to see if I can't get a bite from some batshit crazy MJ fan:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/clt/1240868612.html

The "signatures" I mention, BTW, were all printed on the poster (that's not a pic of the actual poster, I tried to find a pic of the actual poster online but couldn't...it's the same picture but with their sigs at the bottom and a border around it), these aren't actual autographs by the artists after the poster was printed, but rather they all signed the master print and then it was sent to the printing press or whatever. But they are original printings, as it even indicates it was printed in 1985 and "printed in West Germany".

Anyway, I got a few emails, nothing concrete, but then this one girl emailed me and offered me $100 for it. So obviously, I sold that puppy posthaste. She picked it up yesterday afternoon. Now I just wonder if I should sell the other one (at least, if I can find another person who will pay $100 for it or even close to that amount) or keep it, LOL.

Here is the email conversation we had (the "I sold one for $100" response I sent was a total lie...when she responded with the $75 offer I was ready to jump on it, but I guess because I didn't check my email immediately, she thought I wasn't going to accept so she almost immediately sent me another email that she'll pay $100 for it...DAMN! Okay, I totally feel evil, but hey she was willing to pay $100 for it so I took $100 for it):

Her original email:

------------

Hello!

Thank you for posting! I'm an aspiring music artist myself living here in LA, was about to go to my audio recording theory class when I heard the news.

The "We are the world" song means a lot to me as I am Mexican/Pakistani and it was the first time I felt inclusive of any mainstream song here in the states, it was how I became proud to be American as a child.

I wanted to ask what was the last offer you received on the poster. Although I am an artist, I do have some money saved up but also didn't want to insult you with what might be a low offer.

Kindest regards,
Sofia M.

Hi, thanks for the interest. I had two of them but sold one for $100. So, I'd like to sell my last one for around that, but feel free to make an offer.

Would $75 be too low for you?

I just got someone to help me out with the extra $25, so I can pay $100, thank goodness... And I can drive to Culver City today before my songwriting workshop 7pm @ UCLA

Eh, some guy posts about a TurboGrafx-16 and some games, I email about it and of course I get "make an offer". Why do people insist on saying this every time? Just shaqfuing tell me how much you want. I go from $35 to $65 and finally he tells me "at least double that and it would still be low, I'm 53 years old you're not dealing with some kid blah blah macho crap"

So yeah, thanks for wasting my time you old fart. Maybe if you had just said out of the gate how much you wanted instead of making me play cat and mouse all day. And uh, how about selling on ebay if you want ebay prices? (By the way; the games were pretty good but not THAT good, I did my research)

I can't stand this crap....especially at any yard sale or flea market when NOTHING is marked so you have to ask what every single item costs, and everytime you ask the seller is like "oh that?? ......oh uh, i dunno, how about [insert ridiculous price here]" ......as if they didn't even know the thing was for sale to begin with. its so annoying, they try to play dumb and act like they didn't know it wasn't priced but they are really just trying to find out what you would pay for it so they can rip you off
Just shaqfuing tell me how much you want.
Haha.

@CheapestGamer: They made the XBAND for SNES, too. I believe only a few games supported it, though. I know Street Fighter II did. I think it also let you play cross-platform, which is pretty awesome.

EDIT: Found this. I think I was wrong about the cross-platform thing, but it was a pretty interesting add-on. Imagine adding that thing onto a system equipped with a 32X! I did think it was interesting that it essentially duped the game into thinking you were playing a regular two-player game.

It was also the basis of Sega NetLink, oddly enough.
It's a lot of games, but not worth $1500. It might cost that much for all that together at GameStop. I figure it's worth about $500-$600, considering how many are sealed and how he's got guides for (presumably) most of them.
agreed. the seller mentions that at that price, it would make each game $10-$11 each. the problem there is that 95% of those titles aren't worth even close to ten dollars, and there aren't enough A-list titles to really offset that fact.

it might sound harsh, but i'd be hard-pressed to give them even $200 for that whole bunch. there's just far too much junk included to make it worth it. (all in my opinion, of course)

Funny.. except people actually have been paying a lot of money for Jackson stuff. Not hundreds.. but close. One disc I have in particular, Michael Jackson's Thriller SACD, quadrupled in price immediately after his death.

Now at first glance at the title, it doesn't seem like a horrible deal at all...

But then you actually read the ad and think, uhhh, WTF is this guy smoking?!? Never mind the "gamcube" misspelling (among a host of others)...at least they listed it in the right section!

Yes, this dude is asking $40 for a broken Gamecube with all the cables...no games or other accessories included for that price!

I'm selling my xbox 360 and 6 titles. Games include, Halo 3, Fear 2, Red Faction Guerrilla, Fallout 3, Skate 2, AND Left 4 Dead.
Also included, Play n charge kit, 2 controllers. This is a pro pack xbox, 2O GB. This is $100.00 price break from the store price on all these items together. So contact if your interested.

I have a breaking craigslist stupidity story:

I saw a listing for a great 360 bundle; pro system, wireless adapter, 2 controllers, charge pack, dead rising and spiderman for $175. After a failure to arrange a meetup yesterday the woman calls me and tells me her husband works at the home depot in my area and we can meet up at 11:45. She gives me her husband's car model and says she'll give him my number for him to call. Well, I get there at 11:40 and wait for about 35 minutes(this is on my 30 minute lunch break mind you, plus add about 15 minutes of driving to the store from work). I drive around the lot about 15 times, no such car in the entire lot, which is weird because he was supposed to be working there. Call the woman about 3 times, no answer... so I leave, but not before sending a respectful but clearly frusterated text. Still haven't receieved any responses yet, we'll see what happens here but for now I've been stood up... and regardless of what happens I have to stay at work another 30 minutes to make up the lost time.

I almost got stood up today but thankfully I didn't even go. Was gonna buy 30 NES games from a guy for a buck a piece, he emailed this morning like he said, and that was it. Refused to give me a phone number, I gave him mine said he would call at 12, no call, and no replies. I'm glad I didn't go because there's a bad thunderstorm going on right now and I would have got caught in it. I'm waiting to see if I get a reply back though. Why would anyone be scared to give out a phone number? you're gonna have to talk to the person when you meet up with them anyway.

As for the MJ records, ask any experienced record dealer and even they'll tell you that MJ records are really worthless. They are just way way way to common. Over 35 million sold in the US alone and I'm sure you can find one sitting in the salvation army somewhere for a buck.

i don't think so. 360s with similar games and accessories show up often on my local craigslist at that price. even cheaper at yard sales. maybe if the guy said $75, one might balk, but even just after eastshore posted that, i was thinking it was an average price.

His wife was the one selling it, that's the person I talked to. Still no response... I don't think it was a sham, I'm thinking they probably sold it to someone else. Yesterday she was stressing the fact that they would move onto the next buyer if I couldn't pick it up that night, but that was before they called me and said "we changed our minds, if you can still buy it tommorow that's fine"? If you wanna hurry up and sell it to the quickest on the draw that's fine and all, but really... at the very least give the person a friggin call! I pulled $175 out of the ATM that's just burning a hole in my wallet and wasted an hour of my time all because they were too damn lazy or scared or afraid or something to call me.

i'm not at all offended. i said i thought it was average. or do average things offend you? now if you had said $300 for the whole thing, i might have thought it was a high price, but i promise, i still wouldn't be offended.

in any event, i am sorry that couple didn't come thru for you. no one deserves that.

Yeah sorry, when I first read your response I thought you were saying "pssh... that's NOT a deal" but I then noticed you were just saying it's not a too-good-to-be-true deal that might set off a red flag of suspicion... for whatever reason my edit didn't go through.
