Well, don't know if you all will have the same luck, but I found a sealed copy of fire emblem radiant dawn at FYE today on sale for $9.99. Also saw Tony Hawk Project 8 for the 360 at the same price. I'll post some images of it later.

they didnt have any at the fye i went to.. im gonna keep checking. i did find metal gear solid 2 substance for the xbox for $1.43 :)
 
ok i checked the fye in roosevelt field mall in new york
they didnt have fire emblem but gonna try another later
i did pick up killzone liberation for 10$ and stranglehold for 10$
used my fye card got both for under 20$

Don't bother with the one in Bayside, I already got the last one there. :)

I asked the CSR when they started doing this. She said they started doing it last month, to avoid theft. While it may discourage theft, it seems they're only doing it to the Wii games, as all the other sections still have the hardcover plastic shells to protect them. Doesn't make sense to only do 1/4 of your inventory.
Also, this particular store is in the nice part of town, where I seriously doubt they've ever had a theft problem.

that's lame. they could just have the games behind the counter or in the backroom and have a sample box on the shelves.
 
What seriously irritated me was that I showed her the cases of the games I was asking for. She takes them from me and turns around (which, after knowing GS policy, said "this game has been gutted'), so I said, "excuse me, the game *is* still sealed, right? Otherwise I really dont want it." She answers, "yeah, they sealed." She bends down and goes into some cabinet where I cant see what she's doing.

She brings to the register the same opened cases and I again interrupt, this time as she's about to start ringing them up, "wait, can I see these? You said they were sealed." She opens them up and tells me the contents were sealed. Sure enough, the inserts and disc where in some ziplock type baggie. I told her no thank you, I wasn't interested in an open game and those were not factory sealed games.

I've been in poor spirits lately, but that *really* irritated me. First the obvious disengenuous answer she gave me. Second the attitude she had when I asked her to see the games. And third that on top of the "new" games being gutted in the first place, but that she was selling me "new" games with these crappy "shelf display copy" sickers all over the cases!! GRRRRR!!!

Heck I'll take that FE gut be damned ;)

I'm just trying to find one for $30 or so, new or used (which seems to not be in the cards for me due to my multiple let-downs at CC, TRU, and then months later at FYE and TRU again.)
 
I found a copy of both fire emblem and BW and if anyone got an extra copy of marble madness I would be interested.

It was nice to finally come out on top in a transaction with FYE. My local store alters all deals to make them worthless. Nothing like driving out of the way only to immediately notice fliers clumsily altered with black sharpie stating only that “new” xbox and gcn games are 50% off

Found Battalion Wars 2 at my FYE, but no Fire Emblem :(

I have an extra copy of Battalion Wars if someone has an extra Fire Emblem. Otherwise I'll sell it for cost + expenses.

It was opened, but new. I wish it was sealed but beggars can't be choosers. $20.00 was a good price for the game in any condition.
 
dude well the bayside fye is horrible but nice that you found it there i just remembered about it and was gonna check thanks for the heads up i checked the fye in lake success new york and they didnt have it either but they did have 2 copies of twight princess on gamecube shouldnt they be marked down? i thought all gamecube games are marked down to cheap they both had 56.99 price tags i didnt even bother asking because i was in a hurry but once i finish work ill ask because its a short walk away from were i work

It's for the Wii. I totally meant to say Marble Mania, but got confused and said Marble Madness. I think Marble Mania is a spiritual successor to Madness, though.

That's because socal has about 4 FYEs.

I got the ONLY one in my area. The day of the deal I called around and only one store had it. And they only had one copy. And it was gutted. But i'm not buying it collect it, i'm buying it to play it.
 
WTF. Now I seriously doubt that any FYE in Oregon is carrying any new games at all :bomb: They only carry used games.

I'm just glad I didn't waste my time going down to the only FYE that sells games in SoCal (at least according to the lady at the Magic Johnson center aka ghetto FYE) - the south bay/Torrance location.

I ended up getting a sealed copy in the Circuit City clearance a couple of months back, $17.

Confirmed my own question! :lol: Check your stores again as I did find another opened new one. Seems the stores are restocking these.:) Anyone know how long these are on sale for?
