Holy shit, am I going to fail the physics AP.

I have three days to reteach myself the whole curriculum and learn about atomic and nuclear physics, De Broglie's wavelengths, black body radiation, and more.

God dammit.

As long as you're not one of those gamers who only plays WWII first person shooters (and I have one or two friends like that), the game is a ton of fun. Easily one of my favorite GameCube titles. :D

I could be wrong, but I don't remember any of that material being on it when I took it two years ago. :whistle2:s

Then again, I only took the mechanics part. Between the fact that the first semester of my senior year was an independent research project (part of the curriculum at the math/science center I went to) and that we switched teachers at the midpoint of the year due to our old one transferring to another class, we only covered mechanics, and even then we didn't cover it as well as we could have.

I got a three on the mechanics, and just walked out before the electromagnetic portion. There was no way in hell I was going to be able to bullshit that. In retrospect, taking physics again in college was probably for the best. :)

That sounds like a hellish schedule.

Are you a senior or a junior? I'd guess junior if you're taking the SATs - it seems awfully late to retake to get a better score - and I can't imagine most senior level classes dumping on you like that at this point in the school year, but I could be wrong.

Also, keep in mind that AP scores are relative. As long as you get what your college wants, you'll be fine - a five isn't always mandatory, though it was for me and I probably should've realized that ahead of time.
I played Chibi Robo. I enjoy it. No time for it right now though.
I didn't like Chibi Robo. It felt like everytime I made any progress exploring my battery would die out. That and I couldn't stand the gibberish speak.

I've come to the conclusion that 28 weeks later is probably going to suck. And here's why.

The original 28 Days later was a horror. And it focused specifically on a small set of characters against the unknown and their own character interplay.

Every commercial you see for 28 weeks later, it's sold like a big summer blockbuster. You see the military, majpor explosions, chase scenes, etc.

And if that's relaly what the movie is like, then the sequel misses the point of why the first one worked.
12 hours into Pokemanz. Staravia remains my favorite so far.
I've played for like 26 hours. Mine are 20-21 and I'm just past badge 2. I'm slow as fuck. But I didn't bother with Starly, I'm using Zubat for my flying type since I want a Crobat.

DC- I feel you, but just mulling around getting points for a little bit, then buying a battery upgrade or two, solves that problem. I have two upgrades I think. I should play more.

I also hate the gibberish.

But I really don't play GCN games at all, which is a shame. All my console time is with Wii shit. Most of my PS2 stuff I've played or resigned the the fact that I'll never play. As for GCN, I have a lot I want to play, like Donkey Konga and MArio Strikers. Paper Mario 2, Zelda WW.

I have no idea how I've missed out on WKRP In Cincinatti for so long (I suspect it's the song rights screwing with syndication and video/DVD rights), but I'd love to go through and watch it someday.

I thought Crobat sucked? I've never found a use for Zubat and Golbat, but if Crobat's an improvement over them, I might have to give it a shot one of these days.

I actually left a Zubat in the day care center in Pokemon XD just to see what would happen with it. Last I checked, it had gained twenty levels. :D

Saturday was my first shot at the SAT (although I took like 5 full practice ones...) and I'm taking it one more time on June 5th. I'll top it off with subject tests in the Fall.

Next year is going to be pretty intensive as well though, but with better classes.
I'm signed up for Modern Physics, AP Japanese IV, AP BC Calc, Research Practicum (this is really cool: I have to arrange an internship myself -- I'm think at the Physics department of UT or ar Lloyd Dogget's (our House rep) office -- and go there 4/5 days after school and intern. This culminates in a presentation/project that I have to make about my experiences and such), and some other classes.
I'm also probably going to take a class or two at the local CC in conjunction with them all. It all depends on my schedule.

I worked my main job and did a weekend gig for many months, because I made enough at my day job that'd I'd go a month before I cashed my station checks (until they started bouncing).

When I had my really bad car accident in '99, I quit the radio gig and never went back. By the time I was well enough to go back, I didn't want to go back to the last station, and was too lazy to look for another weekend gig.

Still miss it from time to time, though...

I dunno, I just want one. I needed a flying type and Starly (Pidgey equivalent) didn't interest me.

I was lucky enough to have a VCR in the late 70's/ early 80's (where the remote was actually attached with a cord to the VCR) and I taped nearly all of them. (So i still have most of the original music beds.) The tapes are so worn though that they are almost unwatchable though, so I started retaping them whenever they would bring the show back for limited runs in the 80's and 90's.

I have to run to the store, so I am tempted to just buy the first season DVD while I am out...

Wow. I wish my high school had offered classes like that - the math/science center I went to was great, but I had to go to a regular high school for half the day, where the only AP classes were English and American History (which required a HUGE time investment I wasn't able to make), and the only foreign languages were French and Spanish. The internship program sounds particularly cool.

The SAT wasn't too bad when I took it, but they made the changes to it in the year after I took it, so I didn't have an essay section to worry about.

Actually, you should take anything I say about standardized tests with a grain of salt. I know I got the highest ACT and one of (if not the) highest SATs in either my regular high school or the math/science center and have become a solid B student since due to the sheer difficulty of my program, so odds are your mileage will vary. :)

Of all the Pokemon I have (8) Starly is one of my strongest. I hate my Kricketune and Bidoof. They're just so damn weak.

If you do, let me know how the new soundtrack is. I've heard some bad things in the reviews and threads I've seen online, but that might also be because they had the originals to compare it to. Since I don't, I probably wouldn't even notice.

And with that, I think it's time for some more pokeymans. I want my Seel to evolve, and the little bastard is taking forever...

gawd i loved that show when i was little. i worked at a station part time when i was between jobs a few years ago. i did promos and special events. basically set shit up and kept the dj's happy at a major NY station. they really liked me and gave me preference over my hours, gigs etc and said they wanted me for an sales manager but they ended up hiring the morning show dj's daughter. at that point, *everyone* who was more competent than her at sales/special events stopped showing up on the schedule.

Saw SM3 just now. It wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be, but it wasn't the best of the 3, thats for sure. During the scene where Peter and the girl from across the hall were talking in his room, I said to my friends "She seems like a retarded step-sister." and they died laughing, along with a wave of people around me I didn't know. It was a really ackward scene that didn't need to be there.

We get a lot of electives other schools don't (like the internship class, Modern Physics, Music and Revolution -- another class that I'm signed up for that focuses on music and its role in history, and more). Good stuff.

I took US History through my CC, so I get college credit without having to bother with that hellish AP, and I'm doing the same with Economics.

Ahh gotcha. I'm debating if I should get a ps3 or not. I need something to play my ps2 games as my ps2 is on the verge of death and I plan on getting an hdtv soon (within the next year). So I dont know if I should just get a ps2 slim and have patience or go for the gusto now.

Oh. Well it seems you just posted Japan numbers yesterday and I've never heard of Golden Week.

Mak, isn't the PS3 gonna not be fully BC (like the 360) soon? If so, you may want to get a PS3 not, unless it's already not fully BC.

I don't know if I'll get a PS3. I'm sure I will eventually, but it'll be after I get a 360. Which I won't buy until it gets those new chips.
