I think The Vols were #2 in the NCAA Football game this year too.

Saturday Bump

Big game's UCLA vs USC, Texas vs Colorado, Va-Tech vs FSU.

Scary fact, Va-Tech has never beaten Bobby Bowden.

Which match-ups are you guys looking forward to? Of course i wish my Auburn Tigers were in the Fiesta Bowl, but i think that match up should be good. Hopefully Ohio State comes to play. Auburn-Wisconsin should be good if Auburn's players stay excited. I've hears some of them are disappointed in their oppontent.

Other notables to watch out for:

The Peach Bowl: If JaMarcus is still playing that should be a really good game
The Gator Bowl: Man, I hope V Tech comes to play. They've disappointed me as of late.

And the biggest let down of the year goes to Oregon. They have to be extremely pissed to be playing Oklahoma. But then again, they probably realized that they are playing in the Pac-10 and don't deserve a good bowl. :) :bouncy:

It still makes me mad that if you win your "Conference Championship" you get a bowl bid. Are you telling me that you'd rather have Penn State vs FSU over Penn State vs Va-Tech? and West Virginia...haha.

It still makes me mad that you can get an automatic BCS bid without playing a 'Conference Championship.' EVERY conference should have to play a championship game to get an automatic bid. They have to prove they are the best in their conference, and that means possibly beating someone twice. It's as simple as that.

This year, Georgia proved they were better than LSU, so they deserved to go (even though i hate it). Same goes with FSU.

So to answer your question, YES i do think FSU should play Penn State. V Tech should have proven they were the best, they didn't, so FSU goes.

Would you agree with me if I said Auburn shoulda got in ;)

I agree that the BCS didn't mess up this time except for FSU. It feels weird that an 8-4 team got in over 10-1 Oregon.

No, i really wouldn't have. If you can't win a conference championship you don't deserve an automatic bid. I hoped they would have gotten an at-large bid, but they lost to LSU so they didn't deserve to go (AU is still the best team in the SEC, though :))

And Oregon is in the PAC-10, so that's why they shouldn't be allowed to go :bouncy:

Isn't the Outback Bowl the same as last year? It's one of my least favorite bowl of all time, too many repeat matchups for year after year.

OSU should be ready to go in their third trip to Tempe in four years! Can't wait for that one. I'd probably try to go if it wasn't for my trip home for the holidays. Each of the BCS bowls looks good, though FSU is this year's sore spot like Pitt (at least I think it was Pitt) last year.

Iowa played LSU last year (I'm not sure if it was the Outback).

I guess i'm the only one who will stick up for FSU. are they the best team in the ACC? no. Did they beat the best team in the ACC when it mattered? Yes, so they deserve to go.

As for Pitt, i think that any team from the Big East will be a sore spot in the BCS from now on.

From outbackbowl.com - #7 Georgia vs. #16 Wisconsin was last year's Outback bowl, but Iowa/Florida was the year before.

I'm not dissing FSU's ability, but being 8-4 in a group of 0,1, and 2 loss teams is kind of an eyesore.

West Virginia's done a good job this year, and with their only loss to a great VT team, they're not an eyesore in a BCS bowl.

I don't have a problem with their record, just the quality of the opponents. Would West Virginia have had the same record in the ACC? SEC? Probably not. I've watched them play and they are a good team, but their conference is very, very weak.

Even though Penn State shouldn't be playing such a low ranked opponent, I don't mind because it gives OSU the 'second spotlight' -- according to the numbers, it's the second strongest bowl game this year, and I'm looking forward to OSU hopefully giving a strong showing. Akron winning the Motor City Bowl would be HUGE for their program, coupled with their first MAC championship ever. I hope they can pull it off. :D

Ohio St. game i'm looking forward too.

Did you guys see that last play of the michigan - nebraska game? If that guy would have pitched it back one more time it would have been a touchdown.

did you see it live? My bro and I are really sick right now but when we were watching that we were all like yelling "oh shit! oh shit! stanford and cal again!"

The Alamo Bowl officiating crew was one of the worst that I have ever seen. After the game one of the officials indicated that they blew the whistle.

Oh and Michigan fan can have fun sitting with five losses.

doesn't suprise me, they really fucked up.

Does Oregon get a new uniform design every week? It looks like they never wear the same uni twice.

mizzouri is getting their ass kicked by the university of south caroline. 21 - 0 with like 7 mins left in the 1st quarter.

Mizzu Wins. UCLA Wins. And probably the best bowl is coming up next:

The U vs LSU

Hesten is a top talent.

damn, they were getting their ass kicked when I was watching the game (1st quarter). What was the final score?
I didn't realize he never played WR in high school.
He was a CB for his high school days, along with being a fast as hell track runner, and became a multi-faceted player when he got to OSU. He's a, sort-of, replacement for Chris Gamble in that aspect, though I think Ginn is being used much more than Gamble was.
What is going on with Auburn? They have no rhythm at all. Let's hope the 2nd half is better.
OVERRATED!!! :applause: ;)

Can you tell I'm from Madison?
