Your collection - post a photo - show us what'cha got!

Gotta say this is rather fun. Most time consuming part is finding the logos/cutting the logos out/or vectorizing the logos. Felt like printing out two on what I had and they look so nice in a case. Pretty sure I am going to slowly box up my entire Genesis collection. I'll probably have to switch to UGC's though, for now I'm just using spare Genesis cases and I don't know if I can track down a bunch of them extremely cheap.

Oh it is very quickly. Working on one for Phelios right now. I'll be starting a thread on cover project once they approve my account. Just gotta buy some better paper and ink haha.

This picture needs a caption. Great collection.

Thank you, I scooted them back the picture was from a little while ago. Doesn't have the most recent addition Assassins creed statue and Marcus and Mr. Payne are next to the game systems.

The caption should be "Come at me Bro" (Sibling rivalry).

It's okay, I'll have my time on Kotaku soon when my anime collection crushes me to death during the next earthquake.

Really though, congratz wiggy, but now everyone will know your name is Matthew. ;D

[quote name='crpav']Recently moved into new house so took pictures of all my games and systems. I have 2 links. First is the original in order but are sideways for some reason. Second was fixed by someone but not in order. Not pictured is my Microsft X Box 360 racing wheel(like this one http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/818/1000047c.jpg/sr=1).

I am also very jealous of your .hack collection. (And still sealed too)

This is why I was always a cat person. The same people that make fun of having to clean shit and piss out of a cat box end up cleaning their dogs shit and piss off their carpet. Not to mention they have to walk their dog like twice a day. I clean my cats litter box twice a week.

Also as that person mentioned I see dogs always ruin peoples things like cords, controllers, etc more so then cats do.

Looks like strawberry ice cream. Perfect for those hot summer days. By the way Wiggyx that system looks great plus the box looks very clean. Good job!

I know people that had cats that pissed and shit everywhere in the house minus the litter box. I've always preferred dogs and all the dogs we've had from mutts to a Pitbull. We got them trained to go outside and they would go to the back door to scratch then wait. I've gotten more tolerance for cats as I've gotten older but I'm still a dog person. None of my dogs have ever destroyed any of my gaming controllers, games, etc. It depends on how the dogs are raised and how you train them.

LOL yeah, never was into Starcraft but as a collector I wish I did jump on getting them just to have. I will someday try and find a Vanilla WoW CE from Ebay used but complete and mint. There are so many games I want to add to my collection but being married now kind of put a stop to my extreme game buying.

I've got 2 dogs, one puppy and one grown, and they're both house trained. The grown one hasn't pee'd or pooped in the house in 7 years. Since the puppy is, well, a puppy, we had to house train her. Not an accident in the house in months since.

Also, my dogs haven't ruined a lot of things. The puppy would chew up socks and underwear, but we've taught her better now. The grown one got a hold of my PS2 memory card when he was a puppy, but even with the teeth marks, it still works great. :D

I've had much worse experience with dogs, but cats can be pretty bad too, especially males. They love biting through cables and when they piss, it is ridiculously hard to get rid of the smell. Between cats and dogs, cats are a clear winner for me...but when it comes down to it, I'm more of a fish person.

I personally do not like cats,I just find them rather boring. But it might be because I used to have a cat years ago and he had such a weird personality that now I just think other cats are just boring in comparison to the way he was lol

So for now I'll stick with dogs and carry my yorkie around everywhere with me xD

eh cats are more annoying unless you just want to watch a random animal do whatever. Dogs are happy to see you so at least there is that. that said letting a dog outside to use the bathroom is far better than a stupid liter box which kills cats for me.

though ive noticed a lot of dogs tend to just stand by the door to tell you to let them out rather than barking or something. though sometimes theyll come and get you. but theyll make all kinds of noise when they want to come in lol.

I think someone asked about me painting my shelves a while back and I forgot to reply. I think I'm gonna leave em as is, just seal em. I was thinking white, but the raw pine color is a lot warmer and has totally gown on me :)

I had a rabbit that chewed straight through an SNES RF cable when I wasn't watching him for a few minutes. Sad thing was the SNES wasn't mine, actually a friend's that I was console swapping with. Thankfully Nintendo had the smarts to make the NES RF cable compatible with the SNES, so it was a cheap replacement.

That is my off / on topic contribution to this thread, until I actually get around to posting my collection someday...

I've been watching this thread for a long time, and everyone has some great collections. I've always wanted to post my own, but for one reason or another just never took the time to take pictures of everything. Well, now that I have everything packed up to potentially move, I managed to snap some photos before I pulled everything apart. Hopefully the new setup, whatever it ends up being, is far more impressive than this, but time will tell. Anyways, here's what I've got. Let me know what you think:

Overview:
WP_20130317_001.jpg

I have one of those damn jutted walls going all the way around the basement, so I opted for a wall mounted shelf and just had my anime collection run underneath it.
WP_20130317_002.jpg

The floor is kind of a mess as I have things that don't have a place just strewn about wherever. I do have a floor shelf, as you can see, and my old TV hooked up in the corner.

Thanks! Many of those were... not easy to obtain. Panzer Dragoon Saga was actually given to me by my girlfriend who had purchased it as part of a lot with the console and a ton of other games for much less than the game normally goes for by itself. She eventually sold off the other stuff and made most of her money back. Makes me proud... *tear*

so I don't know if it's already been posted, but all this talk of making game covers has me wondering if you guys know about vgboxart.com. It's much less stock artwork, and more creative stuff people have made. There are some really cool alternative boxes on there, that I sometimes like more than the ones that actually came with the game. It's also really good for logos, character renders, and box templates, which I know can be a pain getting a hold of.

Anywho, just though I'd through that out there see if it helps anyone. I'm far to amature at gimp to create anything good, but you guys are clearly doing pretty good;)

Nice collection. I like your game selection but what?! no Valkyria Chronicle?! only reason I ask is that you have SRPG like disgaea/devil survivor.

I'm not the happiest with the Phelios logo on the back but for the most part it's complete. Gonna keep going with this style for all my games. It's quite nice having such a uniform style for my Genesis games. They look 10x better then the mixed mess that they were before, which is partially why I didn't like having my cased games out.

Looking good!

The sprites on the back look a little fuzzy though. That's the only issue I see.

I love having the games look consistent like that, especially genesis with their all over the place original covers (black spine, red spine, grid pattern, no grid, no template at all, etc).

Yup, that is a pretty sweet collection. I'm jealous because honestly, it looks like you've hand-picked only truly good stuff that you really wanted, while my collection is padded with loads of junk I only ever bought because it was cheap.

Also the fact that you have a clean space with adequate shelving. One of these days!

Thanks guys! I hope to continue adding to it in the new house, which I suspect will subsequently lead to it outgrowing the room(s) I set aside for it there as well. It is both a blessing and a curse. :)

I wish I had like 4-5 hours to crank out the rest of these NES games. Been so damned busy. I seem to be able to get in about one of these a day with my current schedule, and who knows when I'll get to the 60 or so other cart games I've picked up in the last two months :/

I love how well-designed simple covers can be so elegant. My cheapass looks at those covers and thinks about all the ink used. I'd probably go b&w myself out of cheapness though yours look so much better.

You ever think about adding something like that to each NES box? Maybe like a real cookie for Yoshi's Cookie?:p
