well for one thing you cannot hook your ipod touch up to your 360 and play the music off of it. This problem affects the ipod touch only.

I went to the link yu posted and dl'ed the files but havent installed yet. Im a bit confused, do i just install and then what? play a song and it'll strip the drm off? sorry for sounding like an idiot but i got lost reading the website.

If anyone's looking to buy a Zune 80; i've got one for sale, in really good condition (no scratches on screen, though the bottom does have a scuff). comes with a leather incipico flip case, two charging cables, headphones, manuals, etc. I'm selling it for $220 shipped, please pm me if anyone is interested.
 
I am told that if I buy a ZUNE, I can use my brothers ZUNE Pass to fill it with music.

Is this as easy as just plugging it in while he is signed in and downloading songs to my ZUNE?

Just bought a ZUNE and the software installation says checking for updates and it has said this for a long time, should I restart or something?

EDIT: Nevermind it is now installing
 
Now it is giving me an error when I try to Install

It Says:

"Installation Media Not Found

The Media for Installation Package "Windows Media Format SDK" could not be found, it might be incomplete or Corrupt

The System cannot find the file specified

Error Code 0x800070002"

What the hell does this Mean?
 
I downloaded the install software thinking it may be the disc but still did not work. I then restarted the computer and retried the downloaded install and it worked so the software is now installed.

I plugged in the ZUNE and it has just a picture of a power plug on the screen. Does this mean that it has to charge more before it can be turned on while plugged in?
 
It came with a bunch of random preloaded stuff but it is not listed in the software. How do I delete it?

Why not edit the song and put in the artist name? Havent tried it, but supposedly the method below works:

Has anyone tried putting songs that they downloaded using the Zune Pass on other devices? My Cowon Q5W is coming in on Weds and i want to know whether i should bother running my entire Zune Pass library through a drm stripper.
 
Usually, MediaMonkey will fix it. But I had one that I finally had to go into WinAmp and fix. Thing was a fucker.

As to that, I have no idea.
 
I'd still like to see some integrated car installs, these things seem to be very rare.

Something where you could plug it into the dock and use a remote.
 
Can I get some help, my Zune keeps syncing and removing video that I delete from my monitored folders. How can I get my zune to keep the stuff I put on there after I take it off my HDD?
 
its not designed to work that way. but if you go into the menu's there is a "forget this zune" option, then it will not delete content.

i haven't done this, just read about it, so you'll have to experiment with it.
 
it used to work that way though. There used to be a option to keep in sync with or leave things that werent in your library in your zune. I remember having more music in my zune then my PC now its removing files....
 
just want to let you guys to know to be careful with your zune 80 (especially if it is in your pocket most of the time). I have no idea how it happened, but the silver portion on the top and back of the zune got pushed in. There is a hole where a paper clip could go in the zune and it poked my screen (made one part of my screen looked like it was popped out).

Impatient as I am, I tried to pull the silver tab back out (looked online and that silver part is the first part to remove when you need to open the zune). Used exacto knife and my mini screw driver kit and basically messed up the top portion (doesn't look to bad, but can tell someone was trying to pry it open).

I guess it worked, since the screen wasnt popping out anymore and the silver part isn't as "in" as before. All is well? Nope, it seems like my zune won't last. I listen to music for about any hour to 2 hours and it just dies. The battery indicator still shows it is fully charged.

You guys think microsoft might fix it?
 
Does anyone have an update on pricing/availability of Zune games? I saw the XNA stuff, but will there be retail games?
 
If there's anyone out there willing to donate a dock to the name of creativity, let me know. It needs to work, but it can be in poor condition.

I'll be taking one apart and installing it in a much smaller footprint, with all it's functions intact. I've found the base too unwieldy to properly use in the car. But after trying it out driving tonight, I don't think I'll ever go back to not having the remote.

Might as well ask. Just don't tell them YOU tried to fix it. I'm pretty sure that voids warranty.
 
Anyone use custom backgrounds on the software? I want to do this, but am not interested in signing up on a random website to get it.

where do you get the usb car charger for $2? its a hassle to charge it through the sync cable.
 
Not sure if this is old news or YMMV, but I just got home from the Circuit City in Poughkeepsie where I found the Zune remote control on clearance for $6.96. I snagged one, but there were 5 or 6 more remaining.

The brown leather case for the 30GB was on clearance for $22.96, as well.
 
My recently played doesn't update correctly when my Zune crashes [every time I use it] .
I played 3 complete albums today and not of it is showing up .

I can't recommend the Zune for anyone to buy , but I'm not going to go around and talk shit about it .

I'd really like it to work for me , my iPod doesn't do video .

I'm really at a loss here .

That blows...I'm sorry. Are you still under warranty?

I've had 2 Zunes and I've never had a hardware problem before...sucks that yours is a mess.
