I really don't get the whole "Pokemon Let's Go is the mobile game" thing.

It's Pokemon Yellow from the Gameboy days built in the Sun and Moon engine. The catching part looks like Pokemon Go and some advanced elements like abilities and held items are disabled, but everything else is the same as any other mainline game. Most complaints come from being the Kanto story again, not having areas added for the Fire Red and Leaf Green, not looking like Breath of the Wild, and that it even dares to interact with a cell phone game.

So it’s not like Pokémon Stadium right, you’re saying it’s basically the full “rpg” experience traveling to towns/dungeons, random encounters, catching wild ones, leveling them up, then battling bosses?

its not random encounters, u see wild pokemons in tall grass, water, and caves etc. u dont fight them u just catch em and u get exp based on their level and your "throw" and catch combos.  Player still go around fight the trainers on every route and gym leaders etc. And like the other guy said, its a remake of Gen 1 pokemon but it didnt have the additional content from like leaf green/fire red (I was pissed, because i tried to look for a dragon scale for a kingdra, till i realize there's no Kingdra in this game).

Yeah it's the traditional RPG. As mentioned above the Pokemon will spawn on the map and run around instead of randomly spawning while walking through grass/caves. Since there's no wild battles (excluding Snorlax, the birds, and Mewtwo) you're going to be catching a lot of Pokemon for EXP, but there's also a chain mechanic that makes Shiny Pokemon and higher IV totals easy to get.

Hmmm, quite a few local Targets showing these in stock for the 70% off $38.98 price. Is it worth picking up for $40 bucks?

If the reviews are to be trusted I wouldn't be surprised there were still a lot left.

Found a location that still has the silver DualShock controllers in stock but the price is N/A. Are you still able to buy those? Never seen that before.

One of the targets had the same silver ones but price was not coming up on registers. I just told the employee that they were clearanced out at I think 70% and she just typed it on the computer.

Depends on the employee. Some will recognize that it is out of the system and is supposed to be pulled from the floor. Others will sell it for the last sticker price on it. Some will know they can scan it with a hand scanner which will give them the last price it had in the system. Hope for door number three.

Maybe at sub $40, it appears to only be on android 5.1 and no updates and only 1gb of ram, so very limited.

Found a fire kids edition tablet for $55.98, 056-01-0327. Probably a better deal.

Even at that price I wouldn't buy it. I'm somewhat of fan of warrior games but it's kinda trash. Go buy DW8 or one of the licensed games on PS4.

I found a few nice items in my local Target's clearance bin (Yo-kai, Yo-kai II, Fire Emblem Warriors),  but they refused to sell them to me because they were "Salvage".  They had a lot on the shelf still...

Does anyone know whether Target still sells back unsold stock to the manufacturer or is that not a thing any more?

My local Target turned one of the gaming endcaps into almost all "repackaged" games:

Prices, for the most part, are nothing special. $60 games are around $41. They do have :ps4: Yakuza 6 for $14. I may bite on that one (is this a good price?).

My Target used to be the one of the best clearance spots around.  About 3 years ago something happened and its never been the same.

You could walk in there and see multiple Apple products, LifeProof cases, and new games red tagged to amazing prices.

Now it is a mountain of bad kids books, a couple of PS3 Just Dance type games and crappy 3rd party cables.

I am not joking when I say they have the same Rizzoli and Isles season 1 DVD for the past 2 years at the same price.

You could always watch the prices drop from week to week, now they stay the same.

Sad day.

It's Shipwreck's store.  It starts out a mess like every other store, but after he browses he helps them organize.

I went back today and asked a rep about repackaged games. He explained that these are games Target wants to move at a reduced price, and "repackage" is a way to avoid calling them clearance. They are still in original packaging. Personally I think calling them clearance makes more sense, but whatever. These are not returns reshrinked. Target doesn't even accept returns of opened games.

My store has an endcap of repackaged PS4 games that I posted yesterday, plus another endcap with XONE games. The prices are currently 30% off. Since these are not considered clearance, I'm not sure if the discount will increase over time the same way, but it seems reasonable that they will.

They put :ps4: Yakuza 6 as normal price $19.99 even though it is $39.99 everywhere, including Target's website. I picked it up for $14 (65% off compared to other stores).

I think they use repackage instead of clearance so they can mark down an item slightly without it being part of a clearance drop cycle and remain at the 1 price without going to salvage. My local Target has had a few repackage games at the same price for months.

Target nearby me did something similar last year. Prices eventually lowered on all games, but took longer than the usual clearance cycle. I bought some during the last b2g1 sale, so turned out to be a decent deal

Yakuza 6 for that price is a good deal in my opinion. It comes with a hardcover book with 23 pages of art with the game disc at the end. If you do get it, play the other Yakuza games first since this is the last game in the Yakuza series. I've seen people complaining about the game since they started with Yakuza 6 and beginning with this one, is not a good start.
