My UV code from 2017 was redeemed via Warner Brothers site to the Google Play site. Who knew an expired code is still valid?

Gaming update: I tried out Nuclear Throne, it seems familiar. I want to say it was on a retro console or maybe PC in the 2000s? I could google it but its always fun to ponder these distant memories.

Nuclear Throne is one of my favorite low-end PC games and PS4 games, and I play it every day on PS4 for the daily high score.  But it's a more recent release.  Steam has its release date as 12/5/2015.

 

That said, I'm not starting it on Xbox until Tuesday so that I can get the three achievements for the week for the weekly Microsoft Rewards Weekly Set.  It's so hard to find an easy game that I actually enjoy playing these days.

I bought this exact one a bit back. They were easy to install and haven't failed yet.

 

The issue I have with my Elite controller now is that the grip on the bottom of the controller ( like where your finger tips rest) has come off and I don't think there is a good option for that. I think I'm going to just have to get a silicone case or something for it.

Ordered it yesterday.  Was supposed to come tomorrow but showed up today.  Took a while to find the delivery it blew off our porch.  

 

I was able to get the one off (left) that was failing and the new one on.  I felt like I was seconds away from breaking something so didn't replace the right one which is still in prefect condition.    Looks like the original ones.  Will probably try to glue the failing one and hold on to them as backups.

That's great news, I love Arkane Studios games, and hadn't realized that it would be coming to Xbox! I can wait a year.

It took me a while to get into the series but I really like Dishonored 2. Maybe one day when my backlog is reduced(never gonna happen) I’d like to play it as Corvo. Death of the Outsider was okay but wasn’t as good as the previous two. It was nice not to have to worry about the chaos system though.

As long as you're careful they should be fine. I removed both of mine half a dozen times or so because I was having issues with the custom faceplate I got for it, and never broke any of the clips on either one. Always felt like I was going to though. My girlfriend actually did it for me the first time, because I was so sure I was going to break them. No reason to remove the working one yet though, may as well wait until it starts peeling too. I only removed both of mine because I got ones that matched the new faceplate I got.

I think it is platform specific. There are actually separate perks for Xbox and PC subscriptions.

I really hope they sort it out in the future. I'd like to play it again but everything is on PS4/5, and this would've given me a reason to check it out after all these years.

So I booted up again and just tried to do a flight but it crashed again when I was trying to learn the controls. Also, the load times are LONG. I've seen some comments about crashes, but it's been rare for me.  You might be in cursor mode.  If you click LS, you bring up a cursor to click on things and the plane controls mostly do not work when it's up.  You put the difficulty to all assists?  I played a mix of PC and Xbox and the first load screen is bad, but less so after that.

There were talks of revoking licenses for that free Blaze monster truck game. Happy to report that so far, that has not been the case, as my kids got to play it this weekend, and as expected, were overjoyed to play the game about "that show from the dentist" (I was not kidding about that).

I feel like a lot of Game Pass games launch when they're not ready for prime time, and we're just supposed to be fine with it because we didn't actually buy the games. Though none have been as bad as Flight Simulator. I'm totally expecting frequent crashing and disconnects when Halo Infinite releases.
