Probably, but they might just drop a trailer whenever. I don't think Castlevania is substantially more popular in Japan. Could make sense to drop the new while Metroid hype is strong. I was hoping for the DS games, hopefully this does well and we get a second (third?) collection. Day one unless it's over $30, I've never played much of the GBA titles.

I didn't see this posted. Bloodrayne 1 and 2 are getting full-blown remasters soon, which sound like they're basically the recent PC Terminal Cut with a different name.

The knife throwing warping enemies can eat a bag of dicks.

Nearing the end of Psychonauts 2 and it's feeling a tad long. I just want the story to progress but every new character leads to a level which will take 60-90 minutes to complete. It's a great formula and I do appreciate how each level introduces new ideas or environmental hazards and they really do make for unique levels. At the same time, I know I'm nearing the end and am looking forward to finishing it.

 

Help me decide what to start when it finishes. Right now I really want to play:

Vesperia's story falls off hard in quality in the final act, I'd say Yakuza 0 out of that group. It's a fun game, has a great story that feels like playing a gangster movie, plus a bunch of wacky nonsense as side quests.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the shortest of those 3, if you liked the first 2 it is more of the same, finish the trilogy and move on.

Trust me, I was seriously rolling my eyes as I typed it.  I guess it is possible.  It's one of those circumstances where if your budget is that $20 Avengers is going to put a dent in your decision to get Metroid (no judgement, I get having expenses - and commend thinking responsibly on your gaming budget), but you are still considering it then your backlog is probably a little thin compared to many on here.

I do find it ironic that we all (myself included) spend so much effort to spend as little as possible on gaming purchases, but end up buying so much we never use.  My personal backlog has many items of shame for never having played but really want to.

What's the best place to get Xbox gold? I don't wanna dabble and buy a code for a different region. I see that Newegg has 12 months for $50. That doesn't seem like much of a sale for me. My GP expired and I wanna see if the conversion trick works for me. Just to make sure, once you buy a year of gold, you can upgrade it to ultimate gamer pass for a dollar extra correct? Is that ymmv or is that always the case? Apologies for the noob questions, but I'm trying to learn how Microsoft works after being a Sony guy for the past couple of years.

I really liked Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The whole trilogy was fun. Even the achievement for hard mode was fun outside the one 40 minute section you have to restart if you die by a missed jump at the very end...7 times. <_<

Wondering the same thing. My Ultimate expires today and I’m thinking about grabbing at least two of these Gold codes and taking my chances. But I’d much rather hear for sure from someone else who has recently let their GPU lapse and converted Gold.

I got the message saying my sub ends in 13 days but the expiration is on actually 9/30/22. I remember people in this thread having that issue so I'm gonna look into it, but I am in the market to extend my sub at a discount.

If you have microsoft rewards and have a decent balance on it, you can redeem points for a 1 month Ultimate code (very small  random chance they'll send a 1 year code instead). Black Friday is only a couple of months away, so if you can hold out until then, we should start seeing 3 months of Ultimate for $20 again.

I had that same issue. I bought a 3-month sub from Amazon and extended my GPU which now expires in 12/2022.

I talked to support over the phone and they assured me that my account looked good and in order but I didn't trust them.

I was also getting tired of the pop ups every time I was playing a game pass game to renew my sub.

 

Another member mentioned he extended his GPU and then it didn't seem like he had any issues going forward.

So I decided to just do the same thing. We will see if this issue pops up again in December.
My extra year of GPU was a conversion of a year of EA access when they added it to the service

LOL, jokes aside I highly recommend playing it on the series X, latest patch fixed a lot of FPS issues and gave it 60FPS in the town hubs and some other areas, I played it originally on One X on release and it had serious issues with FPS, even after several patches it just became better never perfect, but even like that I enjoyed it. I believe you have a spare One X so don't play it there if you don't want to be annoyed by such things.

 

As for the ending.... lets just say enjoy the game and hope to see more Lara soon.

Agreed, season 4 of Dexter is some of the best TV I've ever seen, the dip in quality in the latter seasons still hurts. If the original showrunner is back, then I'm suddenly very interested in the revival.

Okay. I ordered three years of Gold. My Ultimate expires today. I’ll wait the weekend then see if I can convert it to 3 years. Wish me luck.
