New 300 point Halo punchcard online and in the rewards app.  Needs to be done by March 31.

https://rewards.bing...PC_HALOS1PC2022

Can just click through to the Paramount+ and Spotify apps without downloading anything, but the 4th punch requires getting an achievement in Halo Infinite.

Well that's poop because the only achievement I don't have is the elimination one they refuse to make live.

Don't know if Tiny Tina would get a punch card since it's already in the spring spotlight promo in the rewards app.  Just preordered it, so if it does get its own punch card, you're welcome.

Same. Was hoping for a punchcard but this is almost as good!

I broke down and purchased Tina Tina Wonderlands just now as well.

I paid for it last week and the punch card still worked.

Heads up for anyone who has an AMEX, currently have an offer of $75 cash back when spending $500 or more at the Microsoft Store. Expires 5/31. Perfect for those who can manage to get a Series X on there.

I'm curious. Sony barely advertises PSNow so I want to see if they give a shit about this. If they have the original Silent Hill games running on original respected console emulation, I'd at least call that a win. Unless it's streaming in which case uggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Demos for the new PS service are apparently locked behind the highest tier, which I find very strange. We’ll see how it goes I guess…

They said extended demo so I am guessing they might be trials. Trials in that you can play the retail finished game up to a point or time.

Since the price drop, I'd argue PS Now is worth it. PS Now and PS Plus, even at full price, only add up to $10*/month if you get the yearly plans, and both have been pretty easy to get cheaper.
I expect Spartacus to pull a GPU though and be at least $15/month which will suck because I refuse to pay over $10/month to either platform.

Are you taxed? If not, I don't see how you came up to $12 total since they're each only $5/month at the annual rate.

The problem is I already have Game Pass and barely have time for those games as is and PSNow offerings are "nod in approval" at best. Like whatever PlayStation does as of right now I don't think it's continuous subscription, so much as check something out for $15 or whatever and call it good for a few months. Unless they do a $1 conversion thing.

I’m a bit torn on playing FC 6. I was going to get it after it dropped enough when Christmas hits. If I play now, I’ll have to start over to remember what the hell is going on. Seemed there was a lot of mixed opinions of by fans of the series.

They added just enough annoying stuff to the game that it doesn't feel easy to jump back in (crafting, leveling). I may go back to it eventually.

Watched 30 mins of halo…pass.

I think this is a situation where not releasing the full the season all at once will potentially damage the show, since early reviews won't take into account whatever story arcs they have.

I'm giving it a chance, mostly I'm spoiled by Marvel and even The Expanse's special effects, it's very clear they're on a set and the CG is so-so.

Also, Pablo Schreiber's voice for Chief sounds more like Patrick Warburton's Tick filtered through a helmet:

If Sony would just make an emulator for PS1 and PS2 games to run natively on PS5 instead of streaming, PS Now would be a pretty killer offering.

I don’t have time for Sony’s service, I can’t even get to all the Gamepass games. I bet it’ll be fine if that’s the only system you play.

Regarding the Halo punchcard, I just got an achievement in Far Cry 6 and it popped for the punchcard. Not sure how long it’ll work like that.

Pablo Schreiber is a bad Master Chief, I agree.
Don't know why they didn't just hire Steve Downes and dub it over, unless they plan on him having his helmet off a LOT.

Yeah, we're taxed here for the subs but I spaced and divided by 10, not 12. :bouncy:

I mostly use Game Pass too but I share PS Now with my gf who only has a PS4. Between the two of us, I think it gets enough use that the $3ish/month I pay is justified. I've never owned a PS3 so I especially appreciate the PS3 games even if they're only streamable.

I have a cheap sub to PS Now. Barely use it. Have been checking out Shadow Warrior 3 with it. Anyway, I’m curious what they will do to convert current Now members. Hopefully give the highest tier.

Evil is excellent. Also enjoyed 1883 and Coyote. And I’m not a Trekkie but there’s a ton of those shows, of course.

Picard season 1 was pretty meh, but I've enjoyed Discovery.  It takes a bit to get going though.  Lower Decks is the best Trek show.

I liked the Halo episode 1, but the intro fight is really janky looking.  I liked it better after that.

I immensely enjoyed the majority of season 1 of Picard, including some of the character reunions which felt authentic and not forced.

Then they ruined it all in the end with the reveal that

Spoiler
So far Season 2 is enjoyable.

For a trial, there's enough on there to get a month's worth of entertainment, especially for Star Trek fans. Jackass Forever and Scream 2022 are also on there now.

Most importantly, the new Beavis and Butthead movie will debut this summer.

As others have mentioned, Evil is pretty great.  There is a shift in tone from S.1 to S.2 because S.2 is when they started offering it only on Paramount+ for streaming, but still worth the watch.  The way they handle

Spoiler
is inspired.

I've watched and greatly enjoyed both Star Trek:  Lower Decks and Star Trek:  Prodigy and can't wait for new episodes of both.  I just started S.2 of Star Trek:  Discovery and I'm liking the show, but S.1 was a roller coaster ride.  I haven't watched Picard yet because they just started S.2 and I don't want to watch that one episode a week.  I would assume that they also have the older shows for streaming (I see Star Trek:  Voyager) but I haven't looked for them.

If you want some mindless violence, I recommend Mayor of Kingstown.  Jeremy Renner is pretty special in the show.

68 Whiskey, even though it won't be renewed for a second season, was entertaining and at times funny.

Here is a link to peruse, if you have time:  https://www.paramoun....com/shows/all/

EDIT - Apparently another new Star Trek series is coming in May.  I'm trying to get everything watched before we renew again in July, but they're making it hard...

I also recommend Evil, 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown (even though I hated the ending). I haven't watched Yellowstone but I hear good things about it too (same dude behind 1883 and Kingstown). They also have South Park if you don't have HBO Max.
Didn't really care for Picard or Discovery but with all the Star Trek shows they're making, there'll probably be one you'll like.

Taylor Sheridan is the creator and also acts in a lot of his shows.  Yellowstone is awesome, just get into the first season then your hooked. 1883 was very good sucks only one season but will have 1923 which will keep the prequel narrative going for yellowstone season 5 part 1 and 2.  Mayor of kingstown was pretty good, but not on par with others, but lover Halo ep 1 last night so hopefully the next two season will be great. Also looking forward to new Star Trek with Anson Mount as Pike, should be good, so a lot to watch.

Boo. Went to play the FC6 Stranger Things crossover, and when I get to the spot that triggers the change over to the Upside Down, it errors out saying it can’t connect to Far Cry server.
