Damn. I was just looking at that one earlier this year before remembering I had already played the hell out of it at release and yet never actually played 3 or 4 or whatever other ones since then. I mean I would very likely never play it again but I still wish I had bought it. :(

I Can totally see Namco doing a "FIGHTING GAME CLASSICS" labeled rerelease of each of their fighters on digital store fronts, since that's more their style compared to Capcom and their many compilations. Maybe we'll see or hear soon with gaming press conference time next month.

I bought Soul Calibur 2 when it first came out on XBox 360. I still prefer the Gamecube version though.

Here is a list of sales this week, just organize it by sale price in the charts. There is a decent selection of <$2 games, especially in the Xbox One section.

Appreciate the tip - I did not realize that site could be sorted by price like that. 

 

I ended up going with the D&D Chronicles @ $3 - not sure how much I will play it up it has been lingering on my wishlist for a while. I was tempted to bite on NASCAR Heat 5 but it seems to have been lower before; would have been cag probation for sure.

I got the email and no new $5 in my account either. I did get that mystery $5 refund from Xbox last week though. At first I thought they were the same but they have different expiration dates.

I posted earlier this week about getting a random $5 account credit and I'm thinking that this was it since I also got the message but have nothing in my balance. You might want to look back at around the 19th in your order history and see if you received anything then and maybe spent it since.

I think think u hit the nail right on the nose, this makes sense. I purchased some RB dlc a few days ago and wondered why it didn't carge my card. It's cause I had the $5 credit. The message just came through late.

I haven't cared about Xbox missing out on the recent Star Wars ports since they're pretty much all BC already, but holy shit do I hope they bring this to all platforms. They're actually adding the restored content in an official capacity.

That would be awesome, but I don't hold out much hope with an Xbox release with Asypr involved. The only overture they've made to Xbox with all their kind of weird time period Star Wars stuff has been Pod Racer. The KOTOR remake is going PS5 and PC only which is crazy to me considering that particular brand and the Xbox history. Supposedly the internets said last week that Aspyr approached MS first with KOTORemake and they turned the offer down. Would love to been a fly on the wall for that one, seems like you'd want to do that deal if just to not let it go PS5 exclusive.

If true I do see the mindset that would lead to a skip on exclusivity for KotOR, even if it looks bad to lose what was probably their highest profile third-party on OG Xbox. They own 3 (maybe 4 if we count Zenimax Online) studios who primarily focus on WRPGs, and Playground has built an additional RPG team for Fable. Eventually Xbox will be swimming in exclusive WRPGs.

In that context it's much less of a dumb call to skip out on this than the pass on Street Fighter 5 due to Killer Instinct.

As for retro Star Wars, most of the more recent ports just weren't necessary since the games were already made BC. Unfortunately that probably will be the thing that stops KotOR 2 more than anything.
