I don't think EA has anything to do with the game, it is all Asyper or maybe Saber now.

I Would've thought Bioware would have had something to do with this, in that case not at all surprised it's having problems since smaller studio.

There was definitely too much excitement over the KotOR remake given what we heard about it.

It'd be one thing if it was like the Demon's Souls remake, mechanically almost identical with totally overhauled visuals. That might have been fine in theory but nothing Aspyr has released even comes close to Blue Point's last couple games.

Instead this project sounds akin to Resident Evil 2 Remake, meaning it's functionally a brand new AAA project that just has a narrative skeleton in place. Way above their proven capabilities.

I don't think anyone was devastated by the news, given it was just a CGI teaser announcement and there wasn't even a release time-frame associated with the game.

I mean they couldn't really handle the port of Kotor 2 to Switch, so this might have been biting off more than they could chew.

Aspyr does good work but having their first remake project be a beloved licensed classic was a mistake. Fwiw, they're owned by Saber which is owned by Embracer, which owns a million other developers at this point, so I'm pretty sure the project will land in capable hands somewhere.

Was actually a remake. They've done remasters (Stubbs, for example).

Looking at the article, it actually says "the company will look for new contracts and development opportunities". This sounds horrendously bad. Like the game is starting from scratch or that Disney/LucasFilm told them to off.

Just on the surface, it sounds similar to VtM: Bloodlines 2. They fired a couple of the most integral developers and not much later dropped the original studio.

There's a new punchcard, spend $50 on Summer Spotlight titles for 5000 points, but clicking it gives an error right now. "Now through September 5" so we've certainly got some time. I might actually get Saints Row with the previews looking pretty solid technically speaking.

The two bugged Forza achievements are fixed now and I finally have to game complete again.

You may already know by now, but if you already finished these tasks the achievement will pop when you load the game up. It took a few minutes for me but no need to redo them.

Reading the rumor that Sony is planning to buy Square Enix Japan is kinda weird to me in the sense that I see a bunch of people freaking out, but for me I only feel minor inconvenience in having to play those games and not get achievements. It would better explain why they're dragging their feet to get FF7 Remake onto XBox though.

I would be kinda sad about it since we had a good run of Final Fantasy on Xbox, but there have been so many late ports, and smaller console exclusives even before the current state of high profile timed exclusives with nebulous end dates, that an end to it would be refreshing.

The RB on my Halo Elite controller has gone out.  The repair request is super easy to do, but getting on with chat about if they can send the same controller back is a pain.

It would be a bigger loss to Nintendo if Sony kept all the games exclusive. There are a ton of SE JRPGs that are still only on Switch and not PlayStation. Would a big hole if that were taken away.

Xenoblade 3 is around 150 hours and I still need to play the first two...I Kinda feel I should really face the reality of ain't no way in hell I'm getting to most of those JRPG's (I've got three friggin Trials of Cold Steel games and I know they are looooong) unless it has Yakuza in the title.

Yeah a few have went away and already came back so I wouldn't be that worried, that said they've also been very low price in the sales. Think it was like $7 for Yakuza 0, talk about bang for your buck.

Sony buying Square-Enix Japan is a smart move in the sense, that'd kill a lot of the momentum Xbox is gaining in Japan (and somewhat in the West) but the question is if they can afford it.
I doubt FF7 Remake not hitting Xbox is a result of this, I just imagine Sony is continuing to throw money hand over fist at Squeenix to not do the port.

Had the same thought, but fwiw, there's precedent for big enough titles being on both services simultaneously. Either way, I recommend people just buying the games outright when they hit that $5 sale price.

Pac Man Museum+ is seriously starting to make me question why I am so OCD about achievements. It's a great collection of games but the grinding is too much. What turned out to be my favorite game (Pac Man 256) has turned into a tedious slog as I spent the last month just slogging out coins to upgrade my abilities and it's taking forever.
 
Couple that with the achievement for collecting 63 different items from the vending machine and I'm ready to quit. I've resorted to playing on PC and cheating by messing with the clock to get new items and after a week of doing this I still haven't gotten all of the items from the vending machine!
I wanna just quit and move on but I can't quit, I'll be done with everything when I finish these last couple of achievements!

Finished As Dusk Falls last night and already started a second play through tonight. Great, well written game. Enjoyed it more than the much more expensive The Quarry.
