I have been out of loop as I wasn't aware that halo infinite dropped splitscreen co-op support for the campaign... was telling my daughter we should play that together to help her get used to FPS games lol

Did splitscreen co-op drop as well? I thought it was just online co-op.

I have an unopened series s from the recent target sale that cost $175 but I can't decide if it's worth opening. I would prefer having another series x but the s was so cheap.

Yeah, only reason everyone was talking about game was because it had a cat in it and then a week after release I don't remember hearing a damn thing about it. Also Stray over Kirby?? Get that shit outta here.
It was free on PS Plus, so a ton of people played it and talked about it at no additional cost. Which is great for the developers that their game got noticed but I'm quite serious when I join you in saying Kirby belongs on that list.
How in the world is Tunic not nominated?
It IS nominated for best indie game, which feels appropriate. It was good but not GOTY material, IMHO.

At that price, I'd say it is worth it unless you know you can resell it at a profit. I think the portable nature of the Series S is very appealing if you can make use of it. Bringing it on family vacations or over to a friend's house for some local coop action is very nice. If you have game pass, it's also just great to maximize the value of the sub by sharing it on other devices.
That said, if your daughter does not play many games and you don't see a second console being utilized very often, then don't do it.

Realistically there may as well have only been two entries on the list this year. I think Elden Ring is a lock and GoW is the only one even in the ball park. Virtually everyone was talking about Elden Ring for 3 months straight, and it totally eclipsed Horizon during that time.
Wait until they announce the DLC for ER; it will eclipse anything that happens during the show other than ER winning GOTY lol.

I don't know if they patched it in the new update but it was possible to glitch into split-screen and most of the game works. There was mostly just occasional visual weirdness, though it can crash.I have been out of loop as I wasn't aware that halo infinite dropped splitscreen co-op support for the campaign... was telling my daughter we should play that together to help her get used to FPS games lol

Maybe not but it’s way more GoTY material than Stray. IMHO, I could probably name a few dozen games more worthy of nomination than Stray.

Another year, another weak Series S Bundle.
https://news.xbox.co...-hunter-bundle/
Summary
The new Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle is coming November 29 on Xbox.com and at participating retailers worldwide for $299* while supplies last.
The Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle features a total of nine in-game cosmetics and virtual currency for Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys.
If only they would include a Dead by Daylight survivor charm cosmetic, I might be interested. I guess there’s always next year.

yeah, game pass is great. My biggest issue with the S is how expensive the expansion cards are. I will probably just wait and see if it's worth opening since I have until mid Jan to return it.

Oooof Shows how often I visit the thread lately. I'm heading out to feed my horses, make a quick dinner, wash away the shame, then play a little Mass Effect 2 Legendary edition, followed by an Athena Veil voyage or two on the Sea of ThievesIt's the new GwG title.

Somerville (by the devs of Inside and Limbo) is up on GamePass.
Getting kind of "It's more or less Okay" reviews, was hoping for a bit more given the pedigree and it's only "half" the dev of Inside and Limbo I think... they had a falling out or something
Pentiment is getting some pretty crazy high reviews. Honestly it doesn't look like something I'd be interested in but since GamePass I can just check it out and maybe it will surprise me like Vampire Survivors and Immortality did this year

Too many games right now. Plague Tale, Return to Monkey Island, now Pentinent?
I need to keep playing god of war and chip at gotham knights and bayontta 3. Also tactic ogre and maybe sonic?
Where were these games between April and August?
