I'm confused. I played this on Series X, and I'm pretty sure the game has always had these settings.

Any one remember from last year when the Microsoft hidden gift card email came out. I know it was before black Friday and Christmas.

Yup, I been clicking all over the emails I've received but nothing yet.

What’s the cheapest way to renew gamepass? Can you still do the 3 year upgrade trick?
3 year upgrade is the cheapest and still works even if you've done it before.

Well I just had some "fun" with my Series X this morning. I installed a new Seagate 2TB memory expansion yesterday and it is quite close the ethernet port. I am not sure what happened, but my ethernet port stopped working after that. Maybe I pushed up against the port and shorted something. I was able to remove the the ethernet cable and connect it last night and get it to work. This morning same issue, but this time the ethernet port refused to work. I disconnected the ethernet cable to switch to wifi. The XBox still insisted that the ethernet cable was connected. I tried cold rebooting. Still said the wired connection was in use with nothing being in the port. At this point I went scorched earth and did a system reset which finally got the XBox to recognize that there was nothing connected to the ethernet port. Unfortunately had to go through the whole console setup BS on my phone. I wish XBox had something like "forget network connection settings" instead of forcing you to do a system reset when something goes haywire. I don't get why the XBox refuses to let you switch to wifi with the ethernet cable being connected. Seems like a bad design.
I guess now I need to see about getting my Series X ethernet port repaired. I will wait on that for now.
Edit:
I checked online and this appears to be a known issue with inserting a new expansion card. So maybe it is not a hardware issue with the port. I don't feel like reconnecting the ethernet cable at this point. I will test when I am in the mood for more "fun"

Any suggestions for controller charging docks? I currently use the Xbox branded rechargeable packs, but get tired of having to connect them to my console to charge.

I have several of the Razer charging docks and they work well in my opinion.

They come with a rechargeable battery as well

Holy shit, I had no idea. That's awful. I think we're all interested how this shakes out, it's not that we don't want a card.
New trailer, I think release date announced tonight! Ignore that blue.

Is this just a X issue or does it also affect the S?

I am going to end up getting the Atari 50th Anniversary collection based on this one game:
I was going to wait for a sale since I already own several other Atari compilations, but this one game is right up my alley.
That looks great. The collection has Food Fight, which I played the hell out of in the old Arcade Room (and can still probably get some playtime achievements out of if it still works).
Missing a few games I enjoyed on their systems, but I'm not sure how the rights line up for them. It looks like Desert Falcon would've been eligible. The 2600 version was in Arcade Room, but the 7800 version looked a lot better. Midnight Magic would've been nice. Looks like Atari licensed the name from Broderbund, but developed their own take on it. Not sure where that leaves it. Looks like a bunch of others are owned by other companies, even though Atari was the developer for the 7800 port.

I have a series S and I am not seeing the same problem on that console. It could very well be something wrong with my configuration. I have a 12 TB external USB drive for XBox One/360 games and I went from a 1TB expansion card to a 2TB on the series X. I guess I could test the 2TB expansion on the series S as well. I am still investigating when I have time. I just took the 2TB out of the series X and the ethernet is working again. Seems odd.

Food fight is a favorite of mine as well I used to play that a lot at a local fast food joint/arcade called Burger Time back in the day. I assume you mean "Game Room"? I bought a bunch of the Atari games on Game Room as well. I spent easily over $100 on Game Room purchases so $40 for this collection seems cheap in comparison. Game Room was such a rip off.
I only have nostalgia for the games I played on the Atari back in the day and I never played Desert Falcon because it came much later in the systems life. I don't think they did any 7800 games for any of these Atari collections. Only 2600/5200/Arcade. The 5200 selection is pretty lacking on the previous collection I bought. The 5200 was the first system I purchased myself when I had my first job (McDonald's). I played the hell out of Montezumas Revenge on the 5200. Star Raiders was a favorite of mine too. The 5200 had some good ports of arcade games of the early 80's (Joust, Asteroids, Galaxian, Pacman)

I'm not really an Atari fan but the amount of passion in this compilation is incredible. I ended up buying this just for the Atari Jaguar games (Fight for Life!!) and now I hope this becomes the standard for all compilations going forward. Just the prospect of the likes of Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, etc doing the same for their next compilations makes me wanna rebuy their old games for the umpteenth time.

Yeah, I meant Game Room. IIRC, Food Fight was the only game I bought for it. Didn't bite on the few times some bundles went on sale, and I think the games were delisted without much, if any, warning. Maybe I bought Dodge 'Em, would need to fire it up to check.
I didn't realize the 7800 library only had 59 games. I had 24, nearly half. Food Fight, Robotron 2084 and Desert Falcon got a lot of playtime. Had the ports of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Mario Bros. Didn't know WTF was going on with Impossible Mission, and years later I found out that port couldn't be beat anyway because of a bug. Beat F-18 Hornet by earning the Top Gun rank for clearing all missions with an Ace rating.
There are 7 7800 games in the 50 collection, though only 2 were ones I had (Asteroids and Centipede). Looks like I only had 2 of the 2600 games (Asteroids and Combat), though played a few others (Adventure, Dodge 'Em, Yars Revenge) and had the 7800 version of RealSports Baseball. Never played a 5200 or Jaguar, and don't remember which game I played on my one cousin's Lynx way back when.

Love Food Fight. Just fired it up on my Xbox Series S in Retroarch MAME. Hope still to get the Atari 50 when it goes on sale for the nostalgia stories.Glad to hear all the love for Food Fight. It was the first game I sought out to add to my Atgames Legends ultimate and it still holds up. I’ll definitely be getting the Atari 50.

Colecovision and Atari 5200 were my first consoles (hand me downs from when my parents used to play games). My neighbor had a 2600 that we played it a lot, but even back then I was impressed by how much better the sound and graphics on my consoles were.

I played a lot of Game Room when it first came out. I 100% completed all of the achievements and some of them were quite a pain to knock out as I remember. I will occasionally boot it up to play some of the Konami arcade games that were also a part of the service. I remember the folks at Giant Bomb did some funny videos about how sad Game Room was near the end of it's life. Game Room had some neat features when the service was active. Now it's just a lame classic video game launcher.
I always wanted to get a 7800 and Jaguar, but I never got around to it. I sold my 5200 long ago. I did not start holding onto my video game purchases until the Nintendo consoles first came out.

I have done some more testing on the Series X. After I reboot the Series X I get the weird errors with the ethernet not working. I have to do a full shutdown, remove the expansion card, and start up the Serie X. Ethernet works and then I can insert the expansion card and everything is happy until I shutdown the XBox. I guess I can try keeping the XBox in instant on power mode for now and see how long it continues to work.
I never had this problem with the 1TB expansion card. Maybe there is some firmware update with the newer expansion cards causing this issue?

Since my birthday is in January, starting in my preteen years, if I held onto my Christmas money, I'd usually have a good amount by late January when the birthday cards came in. I think it was 1988 when I used the double windfall to get a 7800. The first console I bought myself. Not sure where I have it. I think it was included in a bundle of stuff I got from my parents a few years back when they wanted to clear stuff out of their house. My parents had bought a 2600 for the family, and my grandparents did as well for when we visited, which my parents got when my grandmother passed. I have at least one of the 2600s, maybe both.

My dad bought a Pong/Tennis/Hockey machine at Radio Shack. Not sure what brand. Maybe Realistic? Did they sell other brands then? All I know is we had a Pong machine of some sort.
Later we got a 2600 for Christmas. My brothers and I would buy or ask for games for our birthdays and Christmas. I even traded a few with kids at school. One kid was a huge pot head so his games smelled like weed.
With my paper route money I bought a NES with the Robot at JC Penny's (retail department store similar to Sears). I think probably 8th grade. Took it on the county bus to get it home. Barely ever used the robot but did play lots of other games on it.
We also had a Colecovision at some point.
In HS I gamed more on a my Atari computers. Kid I went to school with had a couple hundred games he pirated.
I bought a used 5200 that I barely used.
My one brother had various Sega and Nintendo consoles as well. Didn't play much on those.
Not sure what happened to my NES. Later in my 20s a friend of mine was tossing his NES and a ton of games. I took it and put it in my closet until I moved out of my parents and set it out by the curb. Pretty sure someone picked it up. There were a ton of games. More than I ever had as a kid.
My wife had her childhood 2600 in storage. It didn't work when we tried to start it up. I think at least the power switch was bad. Perhaps the jack the power adapter hooked up. Bought the parts online and had a guy at work (we have several solder stations at work) replace the bad parts. Don't think we have many games for it and haven't connected it in years though.
I think I will check out the Atari 50 game collection. The documentary part of it will likely keep me more interested in it then just a collection of 50 year old games. We have one of the retro consoles and I think used it less then 2 hours. But the history part playing through it as it evolved sounds cool. And I missed years of Atari games.
