Yeah, I should've considered the source. If I ask strictly for cash I'm setting myself up for failure. Cash App will be the main option with PayPal and cash as backup for flexibility. I've heard the stories of buyers showing up with less cash on hand to buy the item.

I still have luck on CL (it's where I got my new office chair) but a lot of sketch on there. I avoid ads where people don't post much detail, and usually ghost anyone who is short and abrupt over email or text. I'm not meeting up with anyone who can't answer basic questions or meet at a public location.

Same with selling games etc. Whatever it is, I don't need the money that badly.

Anything should work, so long as your buyer doesn't end up having to rent a U-Haul to get the 50" flat screen (but not flat-panel) from the site where it sat prior to its government auction and then not ultimately have the right space in a van to get it to college from home, forcing said buyer to dispose of it at the electronics recycling facility next to the local landfill.

 

Not that I'd know anything about that.

Umm, lol. Thankfully there will be none this going on, they will fit in any vehicle. The smaller HDTV is 13-inch and the bigger HDTVs (two) are 32-inch.

I Put about eight hours into Persona 5 vanilla on the PS4 today. There's a weird feeling of being in my mid thirties and taking pride in doing that much gaming in a day that I don't understand, but yeah I  can sit for a stupid long time in a dimly lit room still!

When I started grad school, I wasn't working and was trying to build a safety net in my savings. Sold some old games (mostly Gamecube stuff which I now regret because those games are worth 3x what I sold them for). I have a CIB Gameboy Micro I was trying to sell and got the most obnoxious person trying to buy it. Grab some popcorn.

Asking price was $140 which at the time was a deal but not a mega deal. Dude lived two hours away and wanted me to meet him halfway between towns. I told him sure, but I'd ask for $150 instead, which he thought was totally unreasonable and said something like "I'm not filling your gas tank just for a quick trip." I replied with the cost of gas and the mileage, did the math and said $10 was actually the exact price of the trip in my car, which gets about 30mpg. He conceded it was reasonable.

 

I said okay great, suggested we meet in the large cafe area in a Whole Foods. I usually go for places like that because they're super public, you don't have to buy anything to sit there for 20-30 minutes, both parties can sit down, inspect the item, count the cash if paying with cash, etc. I usually bring a friend too since meeting up with strangers from the internet can unfortunately be dangerous for women.

 

Dude doesn't like the idea and wants to meet in the parking lot at a Best Buy. I tell him no, I'm not comfortable doing that, I'd like to meet inside somewhere we can sit down. He says something like "no way, I'm not having lunch with you I'm just buying the Gameboy." No shit, Sherlock. If I was buying a vintage CIB game, I'd want to handle it, make sure it's in the advertised condition, etc. and he's acting like it's a drug deal.

 

Then he suggests we do the hand-off inside of Best Buy. I tell him that's definitely against store policy to do private exchanges inside a business, Best Buy sells video games and when they ask for a receipt, what happens then? He suggests the parking lot again. I ghosted. He may have just been dense but people who try to dictate things when the suggestions are reasonable are giant red flags. Insisting on a less public place for anything over $100 seemed sketchy as hell, and like a good way to get robbed, kidnapped, or worse.

 

I hadn't had any other hits or else I wouldn't have tried to negotiate so long. The gas thing was worked out quickly enough I figured we were on our way to a sale. Instead I never sold it and now it's worth $300.

Reminder to check your Bing rebate/cashbacks as well. Just dropped $300 getting 4 new tires, I realized I should probably use the desktop and check stuff. Walmart had over 10% cashback from bing. I also saw a SATA 1TB SSD for $50 that was really tempting to replace for my PS4Pro, but seeing as I'm repartitioning the 2TB SSD that I had in it to stick in my PC, fair to say not enough use. I did get an $80 Gen4 1TB drive to go in the PS5 so I should be good.

 

I bought a video card from someone who waited inside a Panera once. Starbucks etc where they expect you to linger work well as public place option. 

 

I do respect the spoiler idea, but VS is so much more a vibes game.

See I don't even know what the milk elementals are? instead of being a dumbass, you can realize that people simply aren't as far in the game as you are. Part of the fun of any game is figuring things out and discovering things for yourself. You can easily go on the internet and just copy the strongest weapons and build to smash through the game but what's the point of even playing the game at that point?

 

When people ask me for advice I try to nudge them in the right direction so they can enjoy the thrill of figuring things out themselves without outright giving them the solution. Different strokes for different folks. Happy Thanksgiving.

Honestly, just go to the Wiki or search "Vampire Survivors (whatever is you want to know)" and you should be fine. I looked up the evos because I'm not a huge fan of trial and error. It was just a list of which thing goes with which other thing. There's not all that much to spoil from a story or information standpoint. It's all gravy.

My sister and brother-in-law are getting a Series S for my nephew for Xmas, so I got them a gift code for Madden (the primary reason they're getting him an Xbox, since it isn't on the Switch) from the Black Friday sale.  That counted toward the punch card, so I'm $13 short on completing it.  I can probably find something in the Black Friday sale to finish that off.  Unfortunately, looks like the BF sale ends Nov 30, so even if that carries overnight into Dec 1, it will most likely end before the $10 auto redeem goes through.
