The video suggests it could be an Xbox streaming stick + controller in one. You would connect the controller to a display (...wirelessly or via cable?) and access Game Pass without a TV dongle or fancy Xbox-approved TV.

For all that Sony and the FTC don’t want this deal to happen, I think the only games I’ve purchased from Activision since I got an Xbox One in 2015 have been Skylanders Super Chargers and the Tony Hawk 1+2 remake.

And then a friend who worked for Activision at the time gave me Black Ops III and the original Destiny.

And I’m still not shelling out for a PlayStation.

Speaking of Andor, I thought the show was the best they have done so far with Star Wars.  The story is ok. It's really the performances and the level of dread they build up in the show that is truly great stuff in my opinion. I have not been gripped by a series like this since Game of Thrones was huge. 

 

It's not a typical Star Wars series, but that's why it so good in my opinion.

I said this in an earlier comment, but there’s a strong political component to this action. Those mergers and acquisitions you mention all happened in a much for friendly environment to such transactions and we’ve come to see the the negatives such activity has brought about. The current administration has been clear about not like industry consolidation, and this was the first chance they’ve really had to take action.

Funny story. The FTC blocked ATT from buying T-Mobile due to Anti-Trust concerns only to have Sprint buy them instead. FTC are going to lose and waste tax payer dollars. Maybe FTC should sue FTX instead, you know the company that actually robbed people of billions of dollars.

You should have a gift message for the CUPRA needed for this week's PR stunts.  The messages didn't go out right away, I didn't get mine until about 2:35pm Eastern.  Others on the Forza forums got it around that time, but I'm not sure if it's a staggered rollout.  The car is also in the auto show for 2 million credits.

 

There's also a series long gifting challenge.  Tracking hasn't updated.  Not sure if it's supposed to be live tracking or daily updates.  First tier reward is the Holiday Tree Outfit, 2nd tier is a car that's new to Forza.  Hasn't been officially revealed yet, and it might be a red herring, but the silhouette on the series screen looks like the 2020 Lamborghini Sián Roadster (visible in the Horizon Promo menu).  That's the only car from the latest update that they haven't revealed how it would be obtained.

 

Trial - Dirt - Used the 2013 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG (127 334 967).  AI wasn't tuned but gave some trouble in the first race.  One guy was ahead of me and missed a checkpoint in the first half of the race, so I was the leading player in 3rd.  Had 2 people behind me, but the others were far enough back that we would've lost.  Approaching the final turn, I managed to ride the 2nd place AI into the wall and then move into first while 4th and 5th place passed that 2nd AI to get to 3rd and 4th, with the team winning the race.  Better showing from the team in the second race, with 4 of 5 placing in the top half.  I was second behind a person (I think the person that missed a checkpoint in the first race).

EventLab - S1 900 Modern Sports Cars - 3 short laps (45-50 seconds), no drivatars.

 

Basejump Danger Sign - S1 900 2022 CUPRA Urbanrebel Concept - 1,476.4 feet - Hit 1,555 with 112 134 135.  Started from the Las Afueras Street icon, went through the trap and continued on to the jump (with a rewind in between to allow the trap stats to clear from the screen).  A couple parts upgrades - street motor and battery + race driveline pushed it to 902, widening the rear tires and rims got it back down to 900.  Game calculated the top speed as 164.  Going into the tuning under the gearing tab, pushing either Final Drive or 1st all the way to the left to balance for speed calculates the top speed as 192.8.  (Maxing speed for both drops to 143.4.)  The share code is the 1st tuning.  Hit 1,559 with the Final Drive speed tuning.  Managed 1,509 with just the parts and no tuning.  Saw some 200+ top speeds on shared tunings, so there's better ones out there.

 

Escarpment Speed Trap - S1 900 2022 CUPRA Urbanrebel Concept - 160 mph (3 stars is 165) - Hit 170 with the above tune (1st), as well as the car tuned for Final Drive.  Managed 162 with just parts and no tuning adjustments.

 

Toys Under the Tree - Road - S1 900 Track Toys - No problems with the 2016 Aston Martin Vantage GT 12 (610 497 151).  This car is only available through a Hall of Fame accolade for reaching level 100.  Used it to double duty the Treasure Hunt challenge.

Drive 5 miles in an Aston Martin.  The 2016 Vantage I used for the Road championship is the only one that qualifies for any of this week's championships.  Could double duty the Aston Martin miles in the Open Racing challenge or Saturday's Tour daily.

Travel north along the first dotted dirt road west of the Goliath icon.  About half way up, there's a plaza decorated for the holidays.  The chest is in front of a tree in front of the bandshell.

If you fast travel to Casa Bella, the snowman is on the second floor facing the dirt road going past the house.  You can't see it from the road itself because of some foliage in the way, but if you get closer, or just move the photo drone closer, you'll see it.  Some people apparently had trouble getting it to register, but I didn't.

Borderlands 3 Ultimate is finally a decent price. If you haven't played it, the full game with both season passes is a helluva lotta game for $30.

 

I saw my sister this past weekend and she demanded I watch Andor, insisting it's on par with the Mandalorian and just starts slow. That's a pretty high bar but I'm going to give it a chance now. Mostly I just hope Andor is a limited series and not something they try to turn into a six season serial drama which stops being good 1/3 of the way through.

Andor is already set to end after 2 12 episode seasons and will lead right into where Rogue One began. That second season (like Rings of Power and House of the Dragon) won't be happening until 2024 though.
