I'm surprised people are surprised that a game updating to a Series version wants to be on the internal.

It can want to be on the internal, but if it's already installed somewhere else, it should have a prompt of some kind.  Either remind you it can't be played from there and then update the already installed copy, or ask if it should be moved to the internal before updating.  It should not just blindly install a second copy to the internal and leave the other copy sitting on the other drive taking up space.

 

I found Shredder's Revenge had also ended up on 2 drives.  Looks like it released as Series capable, so I'm not sure how that happened.  Uninstalling the external copy asked if it should also remove the pin on the home screen.  I left it, and the system was smart enough to find the copy still on the internal.

Ah as I was wondering why shredders revenge was on my internal SSD drive while I had it stored elsewhere. It was same scenario as Witcher 3.

Most of the time if I know there’s a Series X upgrade, I move the game to the internal or expansion card before updating it. That way I know it will upgrade correctly. That said, the system should figure it out itself. Guess it doesn’t sometimes.

Tomorrow's daily can coincide with the speed trap weekly.  Saturday's wreckage daily could probably be completed by using a Porsche or BMW Sports Utility Hero during the cross country championship.  Monday's daily can coincide with the danger sign weekly.

 

The community has gifted 4.5 million cars in the past week to unlock the holiday tree outfit.  Should show up in the customization menu without needing to download from the message center

 

Trial - Dirt - A800 < 100k credits - I used the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707).  Wouldn't recommend it for the Trial.  First race, I started in the first human slot, got bumped around by a couple other players into AI and missed a checkpoint sending me to the back.  Clawed back to 9th by the end.  Second race, started at the back, saw similar bumping, but the car didn't handle the route very well.  Flipped once and nearly spun out a couple times.  Still managed 6th and the team won both races.

Desert Dunes Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything Goes - 1,509.2 feet (3 stars is 1,050) - Hit 1,532.4 with the 2019 Rimac Concept 2 (131 655 301) I've posted before.  Was around 178 mph just before the ramp, but scraping the bottom just before the ramp dropped me to the mid-160s.  Getting a little clearance with a rally suspension (551 707 630) prevented the scraping and consistently got me into the 1,600s, topping out with a jump of 1,701,17.  Best approaches for me were from the dirt road directly south.  Once you get up the large incline, you don't bounce quite as much compared to coming from the same dirt road more to the southeast.

 

Pyramid of the Sun Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything Goes - 190 mph (3 stars is 165) - Hit 205.47 with the race suspension Rimac (131 655 301).  Started from the paved road that loops north of the pyramid complex.  Hit 196.4 starting from the paved road south of the trap.  Both approaches required some rewinds to avoid trees.  Rimac is a Hypercar, so also qualifies for tomorrow's speed trap daily.

 

Granhas Trail Blazer - S2 998 Anything Goes - 32 seconds left (3 stars is 25) - Hit 37.826 with the race Rimac.  Started from the bend on the paved road west of the gate.  Straight shot over terrain for the first part, but got onto the road for the middle third to cross the bridge just before the 4 way intersection, then straight shot to the finish.

 

Papa Noel - Street - A800 Retro Supercars - No problems with the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (112 697 536).

Do you still own an Xbox One X? Do you also have a Series S? Would you say the Series S is worth upgrading to? High on Life and the next gen Witcher 3 update has me really itching to pick up a Series S for the faster framerate and load times. Was hoping to wait to see what MS has planned as far as mid gen refresh goes but that's probably still too far away if at all. I play on a 1080p monitor so it's more about framerate than resolution for me.
