xScreen is great. I've not had a chance to take it on any trips, but it has served well for co-op achievements that I can't find people for like dragging another profile around for the Halo Infinite co-op stuff or Deathlooop online. Also, for trying out games with the xcloud works well for it. I share my GPU with it and everything works.
Thanks for the feedback. If they were cheaper it'd be an instabuy. I'll think about it.

Does anybody know if the dollar general sale for 15% off the $50 Xbox cards ends today or ended yesterday? I see via GameStop‘s website that the Microsoft controllers went back up today and that makes me wonder if the currency sale for dollar general also ended yesterday.
Costco still have $100 Xbox cards for $80 online and instore. Last day for online is tomorrow and today for instore.

Yeah, the race AI has definitely gone down in Burnout Paradise compared to 360 days. Two different races I've been in where an opposing car missed a checkpoint by taking a wrong turn and the AI just panic and breaks down and spends the whole race racing backwards. Now I'm curious about Hot Pursuit Remastered since the rubber band AI in that one was MUCH more aggressive with the whole cops and robbers motif.

Hot Pursuit Remastered seemed easier to me than the 2010 version. I feel old because I played the original one (NFS 3 HP) on PS1.

Guess I know what I'll be playing in 2023 because I never even finished it on 360 with how pain in the ass it was.

Does anyone have gaming plans for the new year? I plan on doing at least one playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, do the complete Walking Dead series since they added the final season to Gamepass (I only remember the first one) and get Hogwarts Legacy depending on YouTubers feedback after launch.
I Think mine is same as it is every year, which is make time for all the stupid big JRPG's I buy and then just never touch for years.

I hope to finish my first playthrough of CP2077. My friend bough it for me back in February to celebrate the new patch as well as my new 3060 Ti. Unfortunately, I've only played about 4 hours of it since then. The only RPG I've stuck with consistently this year was Yakuza Like A Dragon and Yakuza 3-4-5-6 if you count them. I've been having trouble sticking with RPGs in general and just couldn't keep myself occupied with Dragon Quest XI or Scarlet Nexus before they left the service. Feelsbadman

Though I missed out on some JRPGs that were on Game Pass, I don't think I'll ever finish one that's included on the service because they can be such a huge time sink and that scares me when I want to play other shit on the service before they leave (FOMO FTW ). Octopath Traveler is probably leaving in March and I know I won't be able to get to it. I think I'll have to save my JRPGs for later when I no longer have Game Pass, after the 1:1 conversion rate for Game Pass gets nerfed.
I would LOVE to get through the Persona series next year but that is looking unlikely.

I’ve been looking into builds for Cyberpunk just to see what is most appealing to me. I got it during the Black Friday deals because I new I’d want to play it this coming year after I finished some other games this year. I got over 20 hours into Persona 5 Royal on my PS4 and stopped when it was announced for Xbox. I got further on it when it came to Gamepass. I really enjoy it but I get overwhelmed by the choices with personas and daily activities. I’ve tried getting into JRPGs this year but I just don’t think they are for me. I wish they were but they are so long. Western RPGs can be long too but I guess I’m just accustomed to them so I’ll just stick to them.I hope to finish my first playthrough of CP2077. If you’re going to attempt any JRPG on GamePass in the new year, make it Chained Echoes. Might be the best JRPG available on Xbox outside the Final Fantasy series (but is up there even with those considered).

Lost Odyssey and Yakuza Like a Dragon are my 2 favorites. Persona is on the backlog.

Completed the TA 12 days and the Snow / Ice target. Was a little perplexed in the Hangman. 2 words, 8 and 4 letters. Started with E and R, neither fit. Popped an M next, which was the very first letter. With a little regex magic, narrowed it down to 1 title and finished it without another miss. 12 days MVP was Vampire Survivors, with 15 of the 76 achievements I popped during the event, including 8 on day 11. Rare Replay and Human Fall Flat contributed 6 each and Borderlands GOTY 5.
Started Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice on both console and PC for the Snow / Ice target, got a couple in Human Fall Flat and finished it off by starting Totally Reliable Delivery Service. When you think Human Fall Flat has aggravating controls, TRDS comes in and says "hold my beer".

I plan to finish out Gears 5. Achievement-wise, still just have the 3 long Vs achievements. One of them hasn't updated progress in a month and a half and the other 2 haven't updated in 2 months, despite having nearly 1,500 kills so the 100k kills achievement should have moved. Also closing in on fully upgrading all the class skills. No achievement for it, but I want to finish that out. 13 of the 19 classes are done. I created a new dummy tag to assist with the Vs grind, now that the holidays are about over, going to use a 1 month GPU code from that Doritos promo to give it access to the game. Also plan to use it to grind some of the stuff I still need to do for the Gears 3 Seriously achievement as well as Gears UE on console and PC.
Think I might start Control as one of the 5 game starts for the TA January target. Not sure what else.
Hope to keep up the pace of completing achievements in at least 1 game per month. Don't know if I'll consider the second achievement in the Shadow Man update to count for January or if I should just count base games.
Following on from some earlier paragraphs, I'm going to knock out the TA targets and challenges earlier instead of waiting until the last day. So I expect I'll be posting on January 31st that I just wrapped up the monthly targets and will try to do better in February. Once a procrastinator, always a procrastinator.

Need to get Zelda back in my gaming life. Been a while since I completed a Zelda title (A Link Between Worlds), should try to get through Breath of the Wild before Tears of the Kingdom releases.
And sort of gaming related since it will impact how much gaming I do, I'm going to start looking for a new job. Played "retired" for all of 2022, and while I'm going to miss it, I need to set that on the backlog for a while.

For me it's probably gonna be a lot of backlog/gamepass stuff and Persona 5 until the RE4 remake comes out, then I'll be all in on that.

Happy New Year to more of the country!
I wrapped up The Pedestrian today, and that game was very clever. Way more clever than me. So I used a video guide to mop up the last several puzzles.

I also finished Pedestrian today. If I wasn't in a rush to try to finish, I might have put more time into solving some of the puzzles. it was a good game though.

$10 rewards auto redeem went through about 15 minutes ago for me. 2k monthly punch card is up, as is a 500 point hidden gems punch card for getting an achievement in one of a number of indie titles. Needs to be activated.
I read that if you turn off auto redeem $10 on your Xbox, the website works again. Then breaks when you turn it back on. I haven't tried myself yet.
This worked. After disabling the $10 auto redeem, I am able to click through to rewards on the web site instead of getting redirected back to the list and was able to redeem one.

They need to fix this software glitch. Do they even test the updates they make to the rewards page? Very poor software reliability from the rewards page development team.
I guess I will have to turn off auto redeem too. It's not worth the slight savings if it breaks the rewards website and no one at MS even knows or cares.
