Minion Masters had said they were going off of Xbox development, but my feed brought me this new content pack. They always do a deck for free each new season, I'm surprised to see an Xbox release.

I like that they will add mods into it as well. The molding community should make it more interesting as well. You know they will add quiditch in.
I normally don't pre order game. I don't even pay full price for games anymore. I'm going to pre-order this one.
85gbs though. Got to free up some space on the series s

I love games like skyrim and the Witcher 3. I actually spend more time exploring. Hopefully this will be a good open world game as well.

Are you getting the Deluxe version? I think I will probably just go with the standard version.

Thanks GGP. So if I’m reading that right, smart delivery gives you the best version of the game, but if you run it off an external HDD, it’ll be like playing the X1X enhanced version, not the optimized for series version?
'Smart' Delivery is going to force you to upgrade to the Series version and you won't be able to run it from an external HD.
The exception is the handful of 'Series Enhanced' games that are actually Xbox One games that can use extra Series power, such as Assassin's Creed Origins/Odyssey, Skyrim AE, Mass Effect LE, and Halo MCC. These games have the X/S symbol on them but can still be run from an external HD while getting the Series benefits (minus the loading times). You can identify these by looking for 'Gen 9 aware' in the console section of file info.

I know I'm going to sound like a nerd but I'm excited for hogwarts legacy. I think it looks great.
I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time. I’d preorder it but considering how many big games come out with problems, I’m going to wait a few days to see if there’s any issues. I have high hopes but I’m going to cross my fingers it doesn’t disappoint.

Did you have existing Dell Rewards account or a new one?
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
It was a new account. I think I remember reading that you have to call in order to get the order to not be canceled?

Can you still buy and use codes from Turkey using TunnelBear as a VPN? I know the codes wouldn't work briefly, and there have been suggestions that cross-region buying will no longer be possible in the future.

I don't know about Tunnelbear specifically but Windscribe works.

So it looks like My Best Buy has brought back free shipping, but ... reward points are now tied to the My Best Buy credit card.
One step forward, two steps back.
I saw that this morning too. Made me realize how little I’ve spent at Best Buy since they first started screwing with their rewards 5 years ago or so

only good thing about BB is i don't see people saying they got a new release game for $10 or free because they trade in X games promo for gift cards or credit, while getting 20% off from been a club member while dong a two for one special and will flip it for a profit...
i did not care people were exploiting it to the max but it made it hard to want play anything new for years without feeling like you were losing money because a lot the deals were mix in with 6 different ways to profit or exploit best deal vs just a normal deal. add to that people stack the discount for years and even after 90% could not achieve it from been discontinued, it was still posted on how they got it because there account was still active...

I’ve been using Best Buy less and less mainly due to the lack of free shipping. So that part, at least, is welcome news.
Agreed on the shipping. That is welcome.
And while I do have the credit card in question, I don't like being forced to use it in order to get rewards points. Meh.

Their Rewards program has been ass for years. Like every few years they just continuously make it more and more of a pain to earn points by reducing the amount you'd earn so this is no major loss. With that said, the real only benefit to the free shipping in the days of Amazon is being able to get clearance games allot easier and Black Friday stuff.

I had issues with AC Origins running from an external SSD on my Series X. The game would load fine, and I'd be able to play in the initial area that loaded (I was outside a camp that was built next to a cave), but when I tried to move to a new area (either walk away from the camp, or walk into the cave) the game would freeze. I moved the game to the internal drive and that problem never happened again.

I was playing it last night from an external SSD with no issues. I wonder what's causing the freeze.

Yeah, as soon as they got rid of the different rewards levels based on how much you spend, it's been crap. I don't mind earning $5 every now and then but the rewards program has not been any kind of meaningful incentive for a year now.
The free shipping is pretty big though, there are plenty of times where I wanted to buy a game on sale from them but didn't because shipping made it a pain in the ass or killed a deal. I still use Best Buy pretty often because I try not to give Lord Bezos any of my hard earned money unless I'm not able to find any other good alternatives.

Random question: do I need an elite series controller? I don’t play FPS and the next game I’m gonna play is Dead Space. What’s the benefit of the elite series 2? Either core or regular.
I’m asking because I can get it cheap.
It gets you used to the weight of it. I don't use the paddles. If I use a normal controller, it feels light and cheap. You will very likely have buttons that do not register all the time until they break in. Then, a bumped button will give out on you. I still use mine every day.
Edit: The battery is awesome. I go several days without charging. It's just as easy to plop it in the case to start charging.

You definitely don't need it, but it is nice to have. My favorite things about it are using paddles for rb and lb, which is more natural for me. The weight of the controller (feel), and rechargeable battery are both pluses as well. I haven't had the issues others have had with quality on them, and have had mine operating for about 14 months. If you can get one on the cheap I'd suggest giving it a try and seeing if you like it. Took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to it and now it's my go-to controller

Fyi, if you placed in the top 500 in the Xbox FanFest Trivia back in November. They sent out additional $20 gear store codes for a total of $30. That was enough to push me to look at the store and ended up grabbing an xbox logo area rug lol.

Thanks for the responses. What the difference between core and regular? Does core come with paddles too?

Core has no paddles, case, + dpad, or other analog sticks. It comes with the round d-pad and normal sized analog sticks only.
