Dead Space 1 might be a top 3 Xbox 360 era game for me, easy top 5, but man these $70 games are tough when I have so many things I haven't even touched yet. Like why the hell did I buy Judgement in the sale last week? The achievements "leaked" for Dead Space on TrueAchievements and one in particular has me very interested in how much they might have changed up. I got enough points to cash in and it's looking more and more like MS Store is never going to restock the stupid ass Seagate Storage Expansion Card.

 

side rant since it's an easy week to bag on Phil, everyone knew this thing was going to be a bunch of over priced nonsense from the start and it came true just like everyone predicted. Meanwhile my slickdeals page is filled with PS5 2tB sticks for $150

It was mostly the opposite. At initial launch the newer generation of SSD were way more pricier than the Seagate Storage expansion card. People were ragging on Sony when they saw the price and were also saying you need a Electrical engineering degree to swap out the SSD because it was not a plug in like the Seagate Expansion card. 

 

People were also saying putting out game trial demo was bad but now the same people are begging developers for demo.

I'm interested in Dead Space, I bought DS2 on day one, but I've yet to see proof that this will live up to 1 and 2. It's a new genre for this studio, the last Dead Space game was totally ruined by EA, and the game that just released from a previous head is not good.

Not to mention it's releasing somewhat close to Resident Evil 4, and I have much more faith in that being solid.

Not the way I remember in here but maybe. Figured a non proprietary option would always be a lower price eventually and we already knew the way we were going to be hosed since living through the 360 hard drives. Is kind of odd MS didn't even put one out themselves or slap their name in a more official capacity on the Seagate drives. That's probably not a great sign for the future.

I want to finish it since it is a GamePass game and thought it would be easy to quickly complete on GamePass but I am finding that I am getting a lot of repeat content. Is the game smart enough to only show you things with more clues still left to be found by investigating more stuff in those same scenes? I have heard some people are able to complete it without seeing everything as long as they uncover a certain number of critical scenes.

You have to click on werid items like a cat. It will take you to a new scene then you have to click on the cat in that scene. I was able to get about 98 percent

Yeah there was another button on the controller that I figured out after about I dunno halfway through the game that highlights what you can click on in the scene. That was the second revelation for me, so if you missed that maybe that can point you in the right direction. I could just be dumb though

FYI, this was the main actresses first acting job ever straight out of college. I think she won a Golden Joystick award for her performance in this game but I think she deserved a more prestigious award closer to an Oscar if you ask me.

 

Immortality tips:

You'll finish the game and the credits will roll with maybe 60-80% of the scenes discovered.  Clicking on the main actors and clapperboards will get you the majority of the scenes but it is completely random which scene you will get. You will need to be more specific in order to narrow down which scenes you uncover. For example there are only 2-3 scenes with a cat so if you find one with a cat, click on it and you will uncover all of the scenes with cats.

 

What I did was use a guide over on steam to find the rest of the remaining scenes after I had finished the game. I also found some tips over on Trueachievements helpful for unlocking certain scenes.

 

For scenes with hidden scenes in them, what I did was immediately fastforward to the end by pressing the right thumbstick, then rewinding by pressing the left trigger twice. That was usually enough to unlock the hidden scene. Some hidden scenes require manual attention, for those scenes as soon as you get to the part of the video where your controller stops vibrating the eerie music stops, that means it;s the end of the hidden scene so you want to start working your way backwards by moving the left thumbstick left finding the right spot between 1 and 6 o'clock like the radial dial of a radio or clock. Usually 6 o'clock did the trick for me. Also keep in mind that there are hidden scenes within the hidden scenes.

Because I once made a mistake and paid a $100 for a version of Halo Wars 2 to clear the threshold to became a 5 star VIP member for buying so much digital stuff in a year in 2017. One of the old MS programs before it rolled into what MS Rewards is now. By all accounts I think I'm suppose to get only 20 points per $1 spent but for what ever reason I still get 100 points per $1 spent. I just bought the Sega Dreamcast classic Zero Gunner 2 for $9.99 and I got 1000 points so still working in 2023.
