I'm still new to Xbox so I didn't know there was this really nice version of Daytona USA on it, so I went ahead and jumped on it before it's gone. Going through the store link on my Xbox Series S showed it unavailable, but I was able to purchase through Chrome on my PC once I found the link that showed it on the Xbox 360 marketplace instead of the Microsoft store. I also had to purchase it with a cc since my saved credit wasn't showing. After purchase, I was able to download it from the Microsoft Store page for it.

 

I used to play the arcade Daytona a lot back in the day and this version feels really good, I'm glad to have it.

I haven't seen any confirmation of this. The company was kicked off of the remake of KotOR, but we don't know about the status of any of other projects.
Though I guess it's not looking good. There has been radio silence about the restoration DLC or future patches and we're at least 3 months past the projected release date, and they removed mention of the DLC from the Switch store.
I'd still recommend playing on a PC if possible, but for now it seems Xbox is about on par with the Switch version.

You’re right, there is no confirmation but the silence since the team was dropped is a strong indication that they aren’t moving forward with anything further. I agree, if you can play the PC version you get the best version but I still have it on Xbox too.

Did no one else like the cell shaded Prince of Persia? I haven’t played it since it came out but I remember enjoying it.

Same feelings!  Grabbed the Orange Box and Jet Set Radio.  Debating on grabbing L4D and L4D2 as well.  Most likely they will just go itno the eternal backlog so the reality is Ill only pull the trigger on L4D2 not the fisrt one.

I will say I loved Jet Set Radio when it came out on the Dreamcast, but when I replayed it on the 360... It doesn't hold up. The camera is legit awful and out of the blue when you land your character just slows down, like no reason, but just a few seconds where your character bends at the knee and slowly skating before slowly getting out of the animation. It's not game ending, but it's frustrating as hell when you have those missions where you're racing or chasing after somebody and then for no damn reason your character does that animation.

Does anyone know if L4D2 on consoles includes the original L4D maps like it does on PC? Part of me thinks I'll never end up playing the L4D games again on console because I have the PC versions but at the same time I have such fond memories of L4D on consoles I'd hate to never have that option again, at least digitally. I have the discs for both somewhere. I'm also annoyed that the expansion campaigns cost $6 each cus if I decide to buy the games I'll have to get that too. And spending like > $70 - $80 on old games is a hard sell.... but my fomo for these classics I love is also quite strong

Completed Telling Lies.  Wanted to finish it before the month rolled over for me, so just went to the key word list find the last 20 or so videos.  Some of the keywords returned 1 or 2 videos I had already seen, so I was doing decent searches.  Made the mistake of doing a nearly complete upload to see if there was an alternate ending before the full one.  Credits run a long time, and can't be skipped on PC without quitting out.  Had already seen 2 endings, but didn't get the 3rd, even after doing the full upload (watched it on YouTube).  Upload finished at 11:59pm, credits started and achievement popped at 12:07am.  Counting that as my January completion.

 

Found a YouTube video that puts the conversations side by side and in order, will watch that.  I believe I saw the last couple chronological videos, definitely the last one, but I feel I'm missing some context that lead up to it.

 

Also finished off the TA targets earlier.  So much for finishing them earlier in the month.  Maybe February will be different.  Similar sentiment to be posted in 4 weeks.

The vanilla L4D2 on 360 does NOT include the L4D1 maps, they are DLC for 2 though. I forget which DLC includes the maps.

Daytona was super awesome in the arcades with 6 players at once. Those were the days. The XBLA version is great nostalgia.  I purchased it when it was released on XBox 360. I miss XBLA games.

I am going to be passing on a fair amount of these for the same reason.  The likelihood I'll get around to playing them again is slim anyway, so paying $1 on a Steam sale is much more palatable even if I rarely play PC games

I don't know if this is just a fluke but I finally saw a "Just for you" deal while browsing through the Microsoft Store! Like some of you may have seen, it is for select Ubisoft titles. Hopefully I get to see more of these deals in the future.

Emulation is the way to go for many of the older games being delisted. The newer Xbox versions sometimes don't hold up. On Retroarch Mame I can play the original Daytona.

I was just on marketplace and yeah it takes PayPal I don’t think you can use credit you have on your account.

Unless you work (or in my case, worked) for the US Government as an essential employee. I'm still owed about 85,000 in back pay from all the various pay freezes over about 10 years.

So we got a bit more info on this apparently the insolvency process kinda freezes any cashflow which als hinders them to make payouts to employees, but mainly so no one can put money aside, even though t's very likely higher ups did this way before since they probably knew earlier than us)

Anyway it appears that there will be some insolency pay (which is coverd by the state/government) The downside on this is two things though..that payment will probably (not excactly sure) be made by the end of february..it will also not be your full pay (we gat paid by the hour) but rather the average payment from the last 3 months after taxes what we will receive... Additionilay that "insolvency payment" is only secured for 3 months by law..so after these 3 months...there is no guarantee that there will be payments at all...

Finally saw these as well and just pissed me off lol, cause I can get the AC Valhalla Ragnarok edition for $15, which is cheaper than buying Ragnarok by itself for $20, but I bought the regular Gold edition a year ago and still haven't touched it.

I guess it's kind of like the way Oculus/Meta does bundles, where they're discounted further if you already own some of the things in it - except it's not that, because my wife's account has different JFY offers for Far Cry 6 and she owns none of them. I wish double-dipping on bundles you already partly-own would give you codes for those elements to share with other people.

I honestly don't know. That's something I need to catalog, I have all my games owned cataloged but not dlc. At least with ultimate alliance if I want to shell out the money I can get a physical copy with dlc but a lot of the games I've bought physically recently are delisted so I'm out of luck if there's any dlc.
