What's the rough amount of time to get to level 20?

Can be done under 6 hours easily if you play with a friend for 10% bonus exp and bump up the difficulty to II. Just follow the quests and do any world events nearby. Also, play WW barb.

Last time I paid for GP was in June 2019 for $1 right now I'm still good until 2026, thanks to Xbox Ambassadors, Microsoft Rewards and things like Pringle Promos lol

PSA - I just tried once again to buy the Xbox Originals game Splinter Cell on my 360 before it went off sale, and it's still unavailable to purchase and giving me an error message on the 360 store. 

 

So, when I bought it on my Xbox Series X and then turned on my Xbox 360 to see if the purchase had also transferred to the 360, it didn't.  

 

So, the lesson learned here is that apparently original Xbox and Xbox 360 games still need to be purchased on the 360 in order to be playable on both the 360 and whatever current-gen Xbox you're using. 

 

(Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow gave the same error, but Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory worked on the 360.) 

Glad that I could be the guinea pig for everyone else!

The $1 going away wasn't the big thing anyways. The converting 3 years of Gold to Gamepass is the big deal. I don't mind paying $15 to convert 3 years of Gold to Gamepass.

I meant to mostly respond to this part because, this hasn't been true for me for a long time now. The post above me might be right about it being YMMV because I've heard different from other people but I can't replicate it myself. Despite buying several games and DLC from many different companies, it's just always worked for me.

Jade Empire - Not in my dl history on the 360, only option for on-line was to dl to X1

 

Timesplitters 2 - Not in my dl history on the 360, only option for on-line was to dl to X1

 

KOTOR II - In my 360 dl history, only option on-line was to dl to X1

 

As far as GwG, they may have made those able to dl to the 360 as they decided each game.

Sure, but the concern is more that they're basically deleting this live service game that they charged up to $100 for for an extended period of time. This is an OK copy of Smash Bros, not a giant, high budget MMO that needs a full overhaul like FFXIV.

They also say that they're "taking feedback" that no characters for several months is too slow for their live service team based game with a currently tiny roster. No shit, this makes the look incompetent at best.

Oh, I don’t disagree that this game is going to crater at some point, I was just pointing out that when it returns stuff will still be there. But I agree, if Star Citizen were to take six months off from its interminable beta, the people holding on to that are gonna find something new. Same thing will likely happen here.

Finally got kicked from the Diablo beta.  Almost made it to level 20, was 2 bars short.  Couldn't leave the area I was in, but could go around killing things.  Found an event and triggered it and that's probably what did me in.  If I had kept fighting regular spawns, it might've let me finish it out.  Oh, well.  Probably should've given up on the main quest line sooner to grind XP.  Died a bunch of times trying to beat that girl's mother.  Probably put 12-14 hours into it, so I'm not sure what others were doing to get to level 20 in 5-8 hours.

 

Never played a Diablo before.  Encountered some bugs (died in a dungeon, respawned invisible and didn't fix until I quit and restarted).  Not sure if I'll play the real thing when it comes out.  Don't remember how long Diablo 3 has been in the backlog.

With levels inspired by games, like Forza levels where cars race through sporadically, or Gears of War levels where Windflares, or Kryll, or Razorhail occur, Halo levels where Drop Pods, or Ghosts, or Banshees disrupt your battles.

It just seems like a way to enforce their branding of properties and characters. Plus there's definitely plenty of skins for these characters for players to earn or buy.

Got a Razer Kishi for $40 and with the third party XBXPlay app on Android, remote play is actually great. The official app is surprisingly bad by comparison, but the XBX feels native.

After using the Kishi more, I noticed it wasn't great for longer play sessions, just not the best ergonomics. I was sold on the dedicated controller as a concept, though, and upgraded:

 

 

This controller is amazing. It doesn't feel cheap, local streaming is amazing if you use the XBXPlay app. I've been playing Chained Echoes on it and I have a feeling I'll be diving into way more indies on Game Pass as a result.

I Just straight up have no faith in Microsoft figuring out how to do a fighter and especially a crossover based party fighter. Like everyone has tried to get the formula, but it always just plays like a poor man's Smash with few exceptions (looking at you Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS). Also vast majority of Microsoft's owned characters don't have that feeling of being iconic, notable or get the hype going. I Love Gears of War, but I have absolutely no interest in playing as a big giant marine man in a fighter.
