Best Buy appears to have matched Amazon with 10% off Xbox cards.

It’s actually the opposite. Best Buy has a three day Microsoft sale going right now and the 10% off Xbox gift cards started on Thursday(?).

$30.00?!?!? No freaking way. I feel bad for the poor souls that buy this thinking these are in any way classic or have anything to do with arcades.

Blizz Arcade is a great throw-in for those that bought one of the Blizzcon packages on PC. While mice to have the games on console, $20 is a bit much. If I could get the pc stuff and console games I would consider it. Year end sale at $10 will be much better.

Yea, I'm pretty sure these games have been free on their website for years.  Surprised to see their charging $30 for them now.

Managed to finish Ori Will of the Wisps. Really surprised I managed all the tricky platform without having unlocked all the abilities. I am having a blast unlocking the remaining collectables and side quests!

I almost hate to admit it, but I'm having a lot of fun with ASS (Animal Super Squad) for $2.49 .. The physics and variety of vehicles / unlockables are just a lot of fun.

Is this really the abbreviation people are using for this game?

How I understand this with the abbreviation in my simple 30 year old mind with you being the ambassador of this game now...

I started Control today and I am really digging it. I really like how Remedy approaches story-telling in video games. I was one of those who liked the live action parts in Quantum Break though. The gameplay in Control is tighter than QB but it still has issues with movement and the camera at times. Also, going in and out of the menus can be an adventure. Overall I am really finding it fun.

I just now finished Control. Had waited for the Ultimate Edition and glad I did. Performance was so much better and just one crash (on PS5). As much as I hate Remedy for the way they handled everything with the upgrade, etc., it really was an amazing game. May be some of my favorite combat ever in a shooter.

Now onto the DLC!

Finally got all the achievements in Assassin's Creed II, started Remember Me.  Assassin's Creed was very good on the Series X, liking Remember Me so far, 3 chapters in.  Take that, backlog!

I still have never played AC1 or AC2, just most of the later ones. I was concerned the play style wouldn't be so good after getting used to the "modern" style AC. It was still fun? How long did it take to beat?

The old style was fine, just more of a focus on stealth over combat, the real problem was running the formula into the ground with like 8 annual releases.

The modern story was a lot more prominent and coherent in the first few games, until it was more or less wrapped up in 3/4.

That said, I haven't played them myself in a while, and I imagine 1 is rough. You could probably youtube the important stuff and skip to the Ezio games.

Haven't played the newest ones, just 1, 2, and the 2 Windows Phone ones so can't compare with those.  To get all achievements it took right around 30.

Recently beat Carrion courtesy of game pass and got the full 1000gs.The backtracking without a map is brutal trying to remember which hole leads where all for collecting the containments to power up.Definitely worth a playthrough though.

My YouTube watch history is littered with videos on how to get from place to place so I could 100% the game.  Other than that, and the controlling issue when you're a huge hulking mass, the game was pretty fun.

AC1 and 2/Brotherhood/Revelations are still great games today IMO. It's the games starting with AC3 that haven't aged as well-- that's when they started getting really strict with the fail conditions and forcing you to do each mission in a really exact way or get a game over. The pre-AC3 games actually feel more modern to me because you have more freedom to mess up and recover when you're playing.

AC1 with the 4K enhancement on Xbox One X looks surprisingly good. For the Ezio games you're better off with the remasters probably.

Thanks, I started with Brotherhood and Revelations, loved 'em. I picked up the Ezio collection so will give them a try.

I played a few hours of Control after the new patch which is supposed to fix most crashes. This time it only crashed once after over 2 hours... again while looking at inventory. So it’s a lot better but not 100% yet. Used to be about every 30 minutes.

It's been the opposite for me, weirdly. I would have a crash every 2 or so hours before the patch. Now, I'm getting crashes every 30-45 minutes. At least the game autosaves frequently. It's not enough to put me off the game, but all the crashes are annoying.

Confused by this comment - the Ezio Collection is the AC2 trilogy - i.e. AC2/Brotherhood/Revelations

There are quite a few callbacks to Altair in the AC2 trilogy, so I always think it's a mistake to play it without knowing the AC1 story.
